“I am so surprised that you are here! Why didn’t you bring your companion along?” Grandmaster asked Dio enthusiastically. He was really happy to see Dio, but it wasn’t the “happy” that people thought. It was because he could resume his own games! Grandmaster and The Collector, his brother, were birds of the same feather. They existed solely for their utmost desire, and it was depicted by the title that they held!
For this case, Grandmaster was someone who would design various games to escape from boredom! But, although they had the same goal in life, Grandmaster would easily blindside anyone. “She was a very busy person, so I came here by myself! I heard that a strong champion has come, and I want to see how strong he is personally!” Dio said with a smile on his face. It was half the truth, so Dio wasn’t exactly lying here.
“Of course! I will always welcome a strong person like you! Honestly, you have come at the right time! I have another good seed of champion that Scrapper 142 brought earlier. I plan to hold the championship in three days. Are you joining this one?” Grandmaster asked giddily.
“No, I will watch the fight for the time being!” Dio said as he rejected the Grandmaster immediately. Grandmaster was a little bit disappointed, but it was still under his calculation.
“Very well, I hope you will be entertained by my champions! I believe this fight will be the best fight that Sakaar has to offer! It won’t be any less entertaining than your fight in the past!” Grandmaster said enthusiastically.
“Is that so? I really can’t wait to see the duel! If it‘s a boring match, you will have to refund my ticket in full!” Dio said jokingly. Dio was amused by Grandmaster’s enthusiasm, but now he knew that Thor was here! The plot was right on track and Scrapper 142 or Valkyrie captured him and sold him out to the Grandmaster!
“Great, but I’m still disappointed that the legendary Phoenix Team disappeared after only participating in one championship,” Grandmaster said with a sad frown on his face.
Dio just smiled as he didn’t want to say anything that would put him against the odds, but Grandmaster kept looking at Dio expectantly. “Chill, old man! I am the old champion of Sakaar. The people love the new champion is it not? I think you will love the new champion even more in the future!” Dio said with a fake smile on his face.
“You may be right! This champion was really idolized by Sakaar’s residences! He already defeated so many enemies in such an entertaining and barbaric way, and people love it!” Grandmaster said happily! Dio made sure to keep his smile and changed the topic immediately.
The two chatted amicably afterward, but there was no telling what they truly felt inside!
“What happened to the little girl that you brought here last time?” Grandmaster asked curiously.
“Her situation is still bad. I went to a lot of places and still couldn’t do anything about her condition. Now she has completely fallen asleep with no sign of waking up!” Dio sighed as he answered honestly.
“You know, her condition is very interesting, so I devoted my time to study her abnormal condition, and I found something interesting. Well, interesting to me at the very least!” Grandmaster said happily.
“What is it?” Dio said as the topic piqued his interest.
“Bring me the 10.000 years treasure of gulagaz!” Grandmaster said to Topaz as he smiled smugly. Dio immediately frowned as he saw that Grandmaster had already considered his time with Dio right now as a game! Now, Dio wouldn’t know for sure what Grandmaster’s end game would be.
“What is your condition? Just say it, I don’t want to play your game right now!” Dio said annoyedly.
“Aren’t we friends? You are looking down on me too much. I didn’t even mention any condition!” Grandmaster said with a smirk on his face. Dio immediately frowned as he didn’t understand what Grandmaster was planning! He couldn’t figure the old man out, but he knew that there was no way this old fox would give anything for free!
Dio didn’t want to owe any favour either. He knew that nothing good would come if Grandmaster wanted to cash in that favour!
“Well, the method that I think about is very simple! You already know that her problem lies on her soul, so if you can find your way to the Soul Gem, the girl’s problem should be solved!” Grandmaster said casually.
Dio was suddenly relieved as it sounded like he wouldn’t owe Grandmaster any favour, but he didn’t expect that the conversation went all the way to the Infinity Stone! Dio knew where the Soul Gem was, but it was better not to touch it recklessly. He wondered who else would have the information about it, and he believed that Gamora probably should have it by now, but he wasn’t sure about anybody else!
Besides, there was another problem. If he wanted to get his hands on the Soul Gem, he had to sacrifice someone he loved the most! Love here had various interpretations as it could be a lover, or a best friend, or anything else involving that matter. Dio knew that he wasn’t prepared to do such a cruel thing, and there was no way he would force other people to do that!
“If you are worried that you can’t find where it was hidden, you can count on me! I have already determined the exact position of the Soul Gem!” Grandmaster said as he sat down with a big smile on his face.
“You can forget about it! I am not interested in that Infinity Gem!” Dio said as he stood up, ready to leave this conversation behind.
