Chapter 935: Land of Star Origin

The lecture Shang Xia gave in the Talisma Hall lasted 5 days. During that time, Shang Xia went through the inheritance of his Five Element Evasion Talisman from the third rank all the way to the fifth rank.

After the fifth day, Shang Xia stopped his lecture with a bunch of Talisman Masters and Grandmasters who were still itching to learn more along with a dozen or so rank three and four Evasion Talismans of different elemental properties.

As for rank five Five Element Evasion Talismans, he didn’t have enough rank five talisman paper to play around with. As such, he decided to craft them in the void with his strange new crafting method by using his dipper qi as ink and his finger as a brush. He made 3 of them during his lecture and every time he completed one, he would awe everyone present in the hall.

One had to know that Shang Xia’s Five Element Evasion Talisman wouldn’t be weakened just because it wasn’t drawn on talisman paper. Its effects remained exactly the same with the only requirement that it would be unleashed immediately.

Back in the Celestial Remains, Dou Zhong managed to escape from a second element Martial Dipper Realm expert with a rank four Five Element Evasion Talisman. The effects of a rank five Five Element Evasion Talisman far surpassed that!

At the end of his lecture, he used an entire day to clear any doubts they had about the path of talisman crafting. Resting for one more day, 10 full days finally passed since he met with Kou Chognxue back then. Since he made a promise to Kou Chongxue to head over to the Land of Star Origin, he quickly went to the secret region in order to meet with the patriarch.

This time, Kou Chongxue’s true body was present. He was holding a massive bronze book in his hand and when Shang Xia saw it, a look of shock appeared on his face. “You actually managed to get rid of the restrictions on the rest of the pages and fully open the Star Map?”

Shang Xia already knew that the bronze book was also known as the Star Map and that the original name of the Starry Marsh Elysium was the Heaven Observation Elysium. No one knew the reason why it was abandoned, or which faction initially built the Elysium. Shang Xia didn’t know, and neither did Kou Chongxue. Even if the other Elysiums knew anything about it, they weren’t saying a word to anyone.

Kou Chongxue handed the bronze book to Shang Xia after taking it out and asked, “Guess what is recorded on the second page?”

Lowering his head to look at the open book, Shang Xia discovered that it was actually open to the third page at the moment. There was a strange location recorded on it but he wasn’t too familiar with it.

He didn’t flip it back to the second page before responding to Kou Chongxue’s question. “Since you asked me to guess, that would mean that I probably know the place recorded on the second page... Could it be the Spirit Abundance World?”

Kou Chongxue made a single gesture and flopped the page before pointing at the markings on it. “It’s us... The second page of the Star Map records our location in the vast sea of stars!”

Ignoring Shang Xia’s shock, Kou Chognxue continued, “I mean, it should have recorded the initial position of our Azure Origin World back then. Because of the fusion of our worlds to form the Azure Ascension World and now that we have progressed to become the Spirit Luxuriant World, our location in the vast sea of stars should have changed slightly.”

“Can we actually change positions in the vast sea of stars?” Shang Xia gasped in shock.

Kou Chongxue replied placidly, “There’s nothing strange about that. Everyone’s position in the sea of stars is changing and it’s a matter of how quickly it changes. Usually, it takes an extremely long time for a world to move about the vast sea of stars. It might take hundreds of years to move a little bit. However, our worlds collided back then and a huge transformation happened. Moreover, we ascended to become a Spirit World, and that caused us to shift a lot faster than others.”

Shang Xia thought for a moment before responding. “So... Even after the events that caused our positions to shift in the vast sea of stars, the Spirit Abundance World invaded us twice... Wouldn’t that mean that they have already locked onto us?”

“You can say that.” Kou Chongxue nodded.

Slightly startled, Shang Xia continued, “Wouldn’t that mean that even if their invasion failed, they would be able to spread our location to other experts and cause even more invasions to take place in the future?”

Glancing at Shang Xia, Kou Chongxue laughed, “Yeah, you can say that too!”

Seeing the smile on Kou Chongxue’s face, Shang Xia was extremely puzzled. “But...”

“Well, there are also other Spirit Worlds that are antagonistic with the Spirit Abundance World who came to look for us after confirming that we foiled their invasion to form an alliance with us.” Kou Chongxue explained.

A light flashed in Shang Xia’s eyes. “Patriarch Kou, are you sending me to the Land of Star Origin to look for even more worlds to ally ourselves with?”

“Something like that? It’s one of my goals, but there’s no need to force it if we can’t make it happen. After all, the 4 Elysiums have already started the plan before us. Oh, to be more exact, the 3 older Elysiums have a good head start. After all, they already established themselves in the Land of Star Origin and have a much better understanding of the place.” Kou Chongxue muttered.

Shang Xia nodded to indicate his understanding. “Alright, disciple knows what to do...”

A grin returned to Kou Chongxue’s face and he continued, “Since that’s the case, I’ll construct the spatial tunnel now and send you over!”

Shang Xia seemed to panic as he waved the book in his hand. “Patriarch, wait! What’s recorded on the third page of the Star Map?!”

After entering the Martial Void Realm, Kou Chongxue not only managed to open the second and third pages of the Star Map. He even opened the fourth. However, Shang Xia hadn’t read that far.

Kou Chongxue chuckled in amusement. “I was planning to let you guess what the third page contained after the second page... Well, you don’t seem interested in guessing anyway. The Azure Spiritual World was the world recorded on the third page.”

“What?!” Shang Xia’s eyes widened in shock. “How... How is that possible?!”

“Doesn’t matter if it’s possible. That’s the truth of the matter. I confirmed it with the Northern Sea Mystic Sect and checked with Zhang Xuansheng. The third page truly records the location of the Azure Spiritual World hundreds of years ago.” Kou Chongxue added.

Shang Xia raised an eyebrow in response. “What’s the reason behind the collision between our worlds?”

Initially, Shang Xia had always thought that the Evil Remnants of the Azure Origin World colluded with the Azure Spiritual World to crash their worlds into each other. However, as he grew stronger and interacted more with Kou Chongxue, he understood that the power of a single world wouldn’t be enough to do something like that. They needed the Elysiums of both worlds to act in unison to achieve something on such a large scale.

As both Shang Xia and Kou Chongxue grew stronger, Kou Chongxue understood that even with the strength he possessed, he might not be able to cause a shift in both worlds such that they would crash into each other... He might not have been able to do it alone, but that didn’t rule out the possibility of the 3 original Martial Void Realm experts from trying something like that... After all, both words used to be pretty close to each other. However, there was a chance there were other factors in play as well.

“So... As it turns out, we don’t know exactly who caused the collision of our worlds. There might be a foreign power that caused everything to happen and we have no idea who it was?!” Shang Xia asked.

Kou Chongxue nodded solemnly. “At the very least, we don’t have the qualifications to get to the bottom of what happened.”

Flipping the Star Map to the fourth and final page, Shang Xia asked, “So what’s recorded here then?”

Kou Chongxue shook his head and sighed, “I’m afraid we can only learn about which world it is after reconstructing a Star Observatory.”

“Star Observatory? Wouldn’t that mean that we would need a Stargazer?” Shang Xia couldn’t help but ask.

Kou Chongxue responded, “With the support of the 4 Elysiums... Oh, and our Tongyou Institution, the Heavenly Star Palace has started the construction of a new Star Observatory in the Beyond Heavens Pavilion of the Jiao Continent.”

Shang Xia’s eyebrows jumped slightly. “They actually know how to build Star Observatories... Do they have a complete Stargazer inheritance?”

Shang Xia could tell that the Heavenly Star Palace knew about the Stargazer profession and might have even obtained a portion of its inheritance. However, he didn’t know how far they actually progressed.

For them to receive the support of the 5 great powers of the Spirit Luxuriant World definitely meant that they reached a certain level of accomplishment that warranted the support. (Even though the Tongyou Institution doesn’t possess an Elysium of their own, they were considered a great power because of Kou Chongxue’s presence alone)

“They only scratched the surface of the Stargazer inheritance. They might not even know more than us. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that they are hiding the true extent of their knowledge...” Kou Chongxue replied.

Shaking his head, Shang Xia finally sighed, “Alright. I guess I will also place some attention on finding a more complete Stargazer inheritance. Patriarch Kou, please assist me and send me over to the Land of Star Origin.”

Constructing spatial tunnels in the void was something Shang Xia could also do after entering the Five Element Realm. In fact, once they left their worlds and were no longer restricted by the World’s Will, Martial Dipper Realm experts were also capable of creating long-range spatial tunnels in the depths of space.

When the Azure Origin World and Azure Spiritual World took over the crumbling Manyu Continent, many factions relied on their Martial Dipper Realm Ancestors to carve out spatial tunnels to guide them there and back. Of course, their Martial Dipper Realm Ancestors relied on the power of their Holy Lands or some sort of grand formation back then.

In the past, Ji Wenlong was the one who sent Shang Xia over and he borrowed the power of the Tongyou Mysterious World along with its grand formation.

Back then, their worlds managed to discover the Manyu Continent because of certain transformations in the void but that also meant that the Manyu Continent wasn’t exactly too far away. Martial Dipper Realm experts had the ability to construct spatial tunnels without facing too many problems.

However, it was clear Martial Dipper Realm experts didn’t have the ability to construct spatial tunnels leading to the Land of Star Origin as it was too damn far away. One needed the power of a Martial Void Realm Ancestor in order to maintain the stability of a spatial tunnel that stretched so far.

Kou Chongxue didn’t forget to remind Shang Xia again, “When you arrive, you need to link up with Huang Yu as soon as possible. You also need to ensure your safety above all else!”

Shang Xia handed 2 sealed spiritual cases to Kou Chongxue all of a sudden. “Oh, right. There are 2 rank five talismans in here. One of them is the Abyssal Emptiness Talisman and the other is a Five Element Evasion Talisman. If I fail to return after 2 years to attend the Talisman Exchange, hand these over to the Talisman Hall and let them use it to spread our reputation.”

“Without you present, wouldn’t the Talisman Exchange turn into a huge disappointment?” Kou Chongxue couldn’t help but ask.

“Our institution has 4 rank four Talisman Grandmasters and they’re enough to handle any ordinary problems that might arise. My presence won’t affect too much as the exchange is targeted at low-leveled Talisman Masters anyway.”

Kou Chongxue nodded once in acknowledgment before grabbing the void in front of him. His Hidden Frost Sword appeared at an unknown time and he simply slashed in a certain direction as a massive tear formed before a spatial tunnel constructed itself in the chaotic space revealed by the tear.

Shang Xia looked at the haphazardly created spatial tunnel and stared at Kou Chongxue in disbelief. “Can’t you use a little more effort and create a spatial tunnel that’s a little more stable for your amazing disciple?!”

“Heh. Enough bullshit. Your Five Element Dipper Qi is great at creating or stabilizing spatial tunnels, go deal with it yourself. I’m already being really nice to point you in the right direction and not send you off on your own...” Kou Chongxue sneered in response.
