Chapter 900: Rainbow Pavilion, Lian Ziyi!

“They’re truly a superior world...” Shang Xia received the case and looked inside casually. He discovered that there weren’t just rank four and five talisman inheritances contained within. There were also talisman inheritances of lower ranks.

From what Shang Xia understood, that was basically the inheritance a single faction would possess after hundreds of years of accumulation.

Huang Yu had only been to the Spirit Abundance World for several years, but he managed to gather so many of them!

“Even though there are a lot of inheritances here, they are all extremely messy and you will have to sort them out yourself.” Huang Yu added.

Shang Xia chuckled in response, “It’s not going to be difficult at all. You might not know, but I’m not the only Talisman Grandmaster in the institution now.”

They hid their aura and flew through the Thousand Leaf Mountain Range while speaking and the Tongyou City was already starting to appear in their sight.

“Someone’s here!” Shang Xia’s pupils constricted and quickly warned Huang Yu to hide his aura.

Releasing his divine will, Huang Yu stared at Shang Xia with a suspicious look on his face. However, he didn’t doubt Shang Xia’s judgment. He was only curious about where the person was hiding.

Pointing in a certain direction outside the Tongyou City, Shang Xia looked slightly surprised. “That’s an amazing concealment art. He seems to have blended in with his surroundings and can even use it to shield his aura from leaking out. Have you seen such amazing concealment art in the Spirit Abundance World?”

Huang Yu examined the spot where Shang Xia had pointed out and couldn’t see anything strange other than a large plain.

Hearing the question, Huang Yu mumbled, “The strongest faction that has the best concealment abilities is the Rainbow Pagoda of the nine great powers of the Spirit Abundance World.”

“Rainbow Pagoda?” Shang Xia raised an eyebrow in shock. He wasn’t too familiar with the powers of the Spirit Abundance World.

Huang Yu quickly followed up, “The movements of most disciples of the Rainbow Pagoda are extremely mysterious. However, their history stretches back many years and they have an extremely strong foundation. They have 2 Martial Void Realm experts and on the surface, their strength is comparable to the Spirit Infusion Sword Sect and the Emptiness Drifting Mountain, but their actual ranking among the powers is terrifying. They’re ranked fourth, much higher than either faction.”

“Do they only have strong foundations because their history goes back a long way?” Shang Xia questioned.

Glancing at Shang Xia, Huang Yu continued, “There are 2 meanings behind their name ‘Rainbow Pagoda’. It’s said that they have 7 inheritances for the Martial Void Realm like the 7 colors of the rainbow. The other is rumored to be related to the name of their concealment art. They are able to hide their aura well, allowing them to go unnoticed. It’s easy for them to catch everyone off guard...”

“Seven colors? Chameleon...?” Shang Xia muttered to himself.

“What?” Huang Yu stared at him in confusion.

“It’s nothing.” Shang Xia pointed at the plains in the distance and continued, “He seems to be observing the city while waiting for someone...”

Huang Yu wasn’t surprised. “The members of the Rainbow Pagoda have always operated that way. They act like assassins who like to finish everything with a single decisive strike. The city is protected by a grand formation and it won’t be easy for him to break it by himself. It’s not surprising to wait for backup...”

The next moment, Huang Yu stared at Shang Xia with a strange expression. “Aren’t you going to do something about it? Did you exhaust your energy when dealing with Dugu Gaolou’s self-detonation?”

In order to prevent the explosion from destroying too much of the Thousand Leaf Mountain Range, and to protect himself, Shang Xia used the Five Element Ring and a lot of Five Element Dipper Qi in order to suppress the blast. It was true that he exhausted a good amount of inner qi. However, with the transformation of the Azure Ascension World reaching the later phase, heaven and earth qi was getting extremely dense. Shang Xia was able to replenish his energy quickly.

It was true that he hadn’t recovered to his peak state, but the reason Shang Xia hadn’t done anything was because of the uneasy feeling in his heart. He might have discovered the other party’s tracks, but he was unable to discern the other party’s cultivation level.

It was as though the other party was covered in a layer of haze.

Huang Yu didn’t know that Shang Xia’s divine will could tell so much about the other party, but he knew how strong Shang Xia was. He didn’t disapprove of how careful Shang Xia was acting and muttered, “Right... Since the other party is from the Rainbow Pagoda, it’s not too bad to be careful...”

The words barely left his lips when Shang Xia made his move. The Five Element Ring flew directly at the spot Shang Xia pointed out earlier.

Turning into a streak of five colored light, it swept across the plains.

The aura that blended in with the surroundings was immediately revealed. However, it popped like a bubble the next moment.

“Is that an illusion?” Huang Yu muttered under his breath. He turned to look all around him as his divine will started to extend in all directions in order to prevent being ambushed.

Unlike how careful Huang Yu was acting, Shang Xia revealed a look of shock after eliminating the illusion. It was no wonder he felt that there was something strange about the other party. He didn’t expect the expert from the Rainbow Pagoda to possess such exquisite techniques.

Turning around, Shang Xia sent a palm into the void thousands of feet away. At the same time, a loud roar escaped his lips. “Get out here!”

A graceful figure emerged as the space around it twisted. With a casual wave, a thin sword tore through the void at Shang Xia.

Shang Xia’s Five Element Dipper Qi Protection Barrier appeared around him as it shaved away the energy contained in the sword. It was unable to stop the sword from advancing, but the dipper qi it contained was completely eliminated. Without the power of a Martial Dipper Realm expert, the weapon was a mere sharp stick.

Shang Xia didn’t recall the Five Element Ring as he pinched the sword between his fingers.

“Pretty good. No wonder you managed to defeat Du Zikun of the Azure Island and Ye Piao of the Essence Peak Elysium. You even managed to kill Dugu Gaolou and Cai Zixiu...” The graceful figure started to flicker in mid air. After nullifying Shang Xia’s strike, the person was still able to speak.

When her body finally stopped moving, the sound of metal scraping could be heard as the thin sword in Shang Xia’s hand was pulled back. It returned to her hand in one graceful movement.

The next second, she twisted her face to the side and swung the sword that just returned to her hand.

A ray of five colored light was revealed in the void she tore open and a loud clink was heard. The Five Element Ring stopped in mid air, but she nearly lost control of her sword. She couldn’t help herself as she stumbled backwards. Every step she took caused the void beneath her feet to crack.

It was clear she was extremely strong. She had amazing technique, but the sword she wielded seemed more suited to assassination as she failed to gain the upper hand when matched up against the Five Element Ring. She took a slight loss in her clash against Shang Xia.

When she turned back to look at Shang Xia again, the arrogance in her eyes was gone. There was only a look of lingering fear.

“Looks like you’re finally willing to speak properly...” Shang Xia chuckled softly. He didn’t send another attack her way.

He might have gotten the upper hand earlier, but it wasn’t an absolute advantage. He knew that the other party would be able to escape if she wished.

From the start of their battle, Huang Yu had been standing at the side. He was preparing to work together with Shang Xia to take their opponent down, but the lady was extremely careful. She didn’t reveal the slightest weakness in front of them.

Since there was no way to take her down immediately, Shang Xia wouldn’t mind talking to the other party to bait out a few more pieces of information related to the Spirit Abundance World.

Huang Yu had been hiding in the Spirit Abundance World for many years, but there was no comparing an Azure World to a Spirit World. It didn’t matter if they were talking about land mass or the number of cultivators there. It was tens, if not hundreds of times more than what Shang Xia and the others ran into in the Azure Flame World. Everything Huang Yu managed to find out about the world was probably basic information. He wouldn’t have access to secrets at higher levels!

A cold snort left her lips and she muttered, “There are some people saying that you managed to refine many different types of fate dippers when you entered the Martial Dipper Realm. Looks like the rumors were true. However, you might be really strong now, but you have yet to enter the large completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm. That is what is strange about the entire situation... For you to do what you did... Shouldn’t you have lost control of your fate dippers and experienced cultivation deviation?”

Shang Xia’s pupils constricted slightly. However, the smile on his face didn’t fade. “Young lady, you know quite a lot about me, but I don’t know much about you. Why don’t you tell me how to address you before we continue our conversation?”

It seemed as though they knew about his simultaneous refinement of fate dippers, but what they didn’t know was that he was refining 10 types of fate dipper essences at the same time!

After his cultivation in the Four Constellation Realm where he refined all 4 extermination origins at once, he didn’t intentionally hide his method of cultivation. However, he was still surprised that his way of cultivation had reached those from the Spirit Abundance World.

With her gaze shifting slightly, She glanced at Huang Yu who was standing beside him and muttered, “Kou Chongxue is capable enough to send a spy into our Spirit Abundance World. Aren’t you able to recognize me?”

Shang Xia glanced at Huang Yu in amusement and he snorted with a trace of ridicule, “Young Lady, looks like you’re not as famous as you think...”

Right after he spoke, Huang Yu also broke out in laughter. “Young Lady, you’re looking too highly upon me. After entering the Spirit Abundance World, I have been keeping a low profile and trying to protect myself. How can I pay attention to other things? Young Lady, I’m sure you’re the fairy and heroine of your generation. I am truly lacking in knowledge for not having heard of you...”

“Hehe.” Snickering once, the female cultivator muttered, “You sound much nicer than him. Hmph, listen well. I am Lian Ziyi from the Rainbow Pagoda.”

“Oh!” Huang Yu gasped. “As it turns out, you’re Fairy Ziyi from the Rainbow Pagoda... Well met! It’s my honor to meet you!”

Huang Yu sounded extremely sincere in his greeting.

Shang Xia was too lazy to continue asking about matters related to her and he simply questioned, “Lady Lian, are we going to exchange pointers, or not? Don’t tell me you came all the way here just to leave after a single interaction.”

The words barely left his lips when Lian Ziyi waved her sleeve to send a rainbow flying at Shang Xia. With a frown on his face, he didn’t avoid it. Instead, he grabbed the item in the rainbow. As it turned out, it was a token that shone with seven colored runes.

“In the future, if Young Master Shang gets the chance to enter our Spirit Abundance World, or the Land of Star Origin, feel free to take a trip to the territory of my Rainbow Pagoda. I will definitely clear everything on my schedule to take good care of you.” After she spoke, she giggled once more before turning to leave. She left behind several afterimages that were extremely blurry as they popped like bubbles. By the time they were gone, her aura had also completely disappeared from Shang Xia’s range of perception.
