Chapter 872: Making Another Move
In order to breach the Yanlin City, the Azure Flame World lost 2 giant flying ships.
Even so, no one from the Azure Flame World even had the thought of backing off. Those from the Azure Ascension World were also sure there was no going back now that things had reached its current state.
The experts of the Azure Flame World started a new round of assault under Yuancang Ming’s lead.

Those screams seemed like an exaggeration as there might be many instances of them being unable to hold their opponents back, but many of them managed to escape with their lives.
After all, the main goal of Yanlin Jue and the rest wasn’t to kill the low-level experts on the other side.
It didn’t take long for the situation in the city to change again. Yanlin Jue and the others fell for a trap that had been laid down by more than 20 Martial Extermination Realm experts of the Azure Ascension World.
As the strongest expert among them, Yanlin Jue got out of the ambush easily. He was quickly followed by 2 others who were third soul Martial Sages. However, those behind them weren’t so strong, or lucky. They were held back by the restrictions that intertwined with the many structures that were covered in the grand formation.
If the 3 of them turned back to help their companions, it wouldn’t take long for them to destroy all the restrictions with brute force. However, that would take some time and energy, and they would fall right for their opponents' plan to buy some time.
However, if they gave up on the other 3 who were held back, the restrictions might not be able to harm their companion, but their battle strength would be reduced.
Either way, it would be what the outsiders wanted to see.
In an instant, Yanlin Jue and the others fell into an open scheme of the Outsiders and whatever decision he made would be on him.
Even his hesitation was something they were willing to see.
One of the third soul Martial Sages who broke out with Yanlin Jue earlier growled, “They won’t be in any danger for the time being. We can’t back down any longer and our only hope is to destroy the grand formation. Only then can we allow those outside to enter the city!”

As Yanlin Jue and the others closed in on the core region, 2 auras that had been concealed earlier suddenly appeared beside 2 structures in the city! The owners of those auras pincered the 2 third soul Martial Sages behind Yanlin Jue.
They were none other than the Martial Dipper Realm Formation Grandmasters who left the platform earlier!
Even though their cultivation realms weren’t exactly the highest, they were the only existences with combat strength in the Martial Dipper Realm at the moment.
Under such circumstances, they had no choice but to take action!

It was obvious those third soul Martial Sages behind him were the ones speaking.
They were from the Cangming Clan and the Northern Chihuang Continent, and even though they assisted him in breaking through the city, they were also there to keep a watch on him.
After all, everyone knew that no matter the outcome of the battle, the Yanlin Clan would no longer be ranked among the 3 strongest factions of the Azure Flame World.
As a peak-tier expert of the Yanlin Clan, Yanlin Jue might have already become a thorn in someone else’s side.
The soothing voice rang in Yanlin Jue’s ears the next moment. “I forgot to tell you. The 80,000 or so clansmen and Yanlin Ju surrendered willingly. All of us swore not to kill them and we merely trapped them in the Yanlin Holy Land.”
