Chapter 845: Breaking Through the Heavenly Screen Pt.3

Even though Kou Chongxue made use of the Origin Holy Artifact and worked together with Shang Xia to scheme against more than half the Martial Dipper Realm experts of the Azure Ascension World, the number didn’t actually do them justice. If they spoke in terms of Martial Dipper Realm experts alone, Kou Chongxue basically emptied out two-thirds of the Azure Ascension World’s fighting strength!

In other words, the current Azure Ascension World was an empty shell that was propped up by the 4 Elysiums! They were in a state of weakness and they were far weaker than before the Yuanchen Sect ascended to an Elysium!

...

“So... We don’t have much time to waste! We need to wrap things up at the Azure Flame World as soon as possible!” Shang Xia concluded after learning everything from Kou Chongxue’s clone.

“Indeed. The disappearance of the Celestial Remains will definitely cause a massive ruckus. The skies above the Jiao Continent will definitely experience a change, alerting every expert in the region. When that happens, the experts of the 4 Elysiums will definitely be able to guess what I did. They should also seal off the news to the best of their abilities. However, with the disappearance of so many Martial Dipper Realm experts, the Spirit Abundance World will learn about it soon enough. They wouldn’t give up such a good opportunity...” After Kou Chongxue’s Fire Element Fate Dipper Clone spoke, he glanced around the interior of the Stellar Cauldron. There was actually a female cultivator in a coma by the side.

Shang Xia chuckled and reminded the clone, “Patriarch, you said it a lot of times...”

The clone sighed helplessly, “All I’m trying to say is that even though you received quite a lot of benefits from the Stellar Cauldron, you shouldn’t waste any more time during the Spatial Transfer. You actually had the time to save some random woman in the chaotic streams of space...”

Shang Xia couldn’t help but explain himself, “I wasn’t messing around when I did that...”

The clone interrupted him unceremoniously. “This old man gets it. You were using the experience of the Spatial Transfer to perfect your Five Element Teleportation Art...”

“Actually, that’s not all!” A mysterious grin appeared on Shang Xia’s face. “Disciple naturally has a reason to remain here. Actually, I was planning to create a stable and hidden spatial gate in the space outside the heavenly screen of the Azure Flame World.”

“Are you really about to complete your Five Element Teleportation Art?!” Kou Chongxue’s clown gasped.

A smile appeared on Shang Xia’s face and he chuckled in response, “It’s a little too early to say that. However, I managed to use one of the 5 Origin Holy Artifacts in our Azure Ascension World to draw on the world origin to solidify the Star Observatory which we made use of using the Stargazer inheritance. It’s also not every day that we get to carry out a long-range Spatial Transfer. With so many things taking place, if I don’t do something, it would be a great waste!”

“What about the stable spatial gate...” Kou Chongxue’s clone couldn’t help but ask.

Shang Xia broke out into laughter. “It should be easier if I try it the next time!”

“This old man was planning to make this a one-time transaction... Damn brat, are you planning to turn the Azure Flame World into something you can keep fleecing whenever you wish?” Kou Chongxue’s clone sighed.

To that, Shang Xia could only try to act modestly. “It’s just a chess piece we’re laying down randomly. We can care about whether it will come into play in the future.”

Shaking his head lightly, Kou Chongxue’s clone no longer harped on the topic. Instead, his gaze landed on the female cultivator nearby and he mumbled in a low voice. “Young lady, since you're awake, what’s the point of pretending to be asleep?”

Her breathing froze for a second before she struggled to open her eyes. Trying to push herself up, her gaze landed on Kou Chongxue’s clone before eventually turning to Shang Xia. “Were you the one who saved me? Where am I?”

Shang Xia raised his hand slightly and got rid of the formless barrier around her. He explained, “Lady Xinlan, please don’t misunderstand. Back then, I noticed you stranded in chaotic space and I moved to save you as I was passing by. After I was done, I brought you into the space within the Stellar Cauldron.”

Gong Xinlan’s gaze sank slightly, but she quickly raised her head the next second. “I recalled what happened. I was indeed thrown into chaotic space and I sacrificed a Fate Dipper clone in an attempt to survive. My clone was also heavily injured... Brother Shang, I am extremely grateful that you saved my life!”

Shang Xia waved his hands casually. “It’s nothing much. Lady Xinlan, please don’t be too concerned with it.”

Shaking her head, Gong Xinlan started to look all around her. She sighed eventually. “Looks like this is the Origin Holy Artifact... As it turns out, you guys managed to obtain it. Huang Jinghan and Jiu Du wasted their efforts completely...”

Kou Chongxue’s clone shot Shang Xia a glance and he immediately understood what he needed to do. In a low voice, Shang Xia asked, “Lady Xinlan, do you recall what happened before you fell into chaotic space?”

Staring at Shang Xia, Gong Xinlan muttered calmly, “Brother Shang, I believe you saw what happened. I might not have run into you in the forbidden region, but from how you managed to obtain the Origin Holy Artifact, you should have been present back then!”

An awkward light flashed in Shang Xia’s eyes. “I definitely saw you back then. However...”

Gong Xinlan interrupted him before he could continue. “I understand. The Origin Holy Artifact was up for grabs and all of us were relying on our abilities to obtain it. I am already very grateful that Brother Shang didn’t try to stab me in the back. What’s more, you even saved my life now...”

Shang Xia immediately felt a lot more comfortable after hearing that she wasn’t bearing a grudge. He continued, “Lady Xinlan, what are your plans now?”

He recalled the close relationship she had with the Yuanchen Sect, and after hearing what happened back then from Kou Chongxue’s Fire Element Fate Dipper Clone, Shang Xia knew that Huang Jinghan had broken through the forbidden region forcefully without a care for Gong Xinlan’s well-being. That was also why he asked if she recalled how she fell into chaotic space.

Gong Xinlan fell silent for some time as Shang Xia shot the clone a glance before he continued, “Lady Xinlan, your injuries are serious and you might not be able to recover in a short amount of time. Now that we have arrived in the Azure Flame World, a massive battle will break out between us and the aboriginal cultivators. I’m afraid it will be difficult for you to take part in it. The moment the battle starts, I might not be able to fully focus on protecting the Origin Holy Artifact. If you don’t find it troublesome, I hope you can remain here while recovering and assist me in looking after the artifact.”

A strange look appeared on Gong Xinlan’s face. “Brother Shang, are you really willing to let me take care of such a precious artifact?”

Obviously, the answer was no. However, Kou Chongxue had already refined the Origin Holy Artifact and no ordinary expert would be able to use it for themselves. More importantly, Gong Xinlan’s injuries were severe and she was barely able to maintain her cultivation in the Martial Dipper Realm. Strictly speaking, her combat abilities were barely comparable to an expert at the peak of the Martial Extermination Realm!

Naturally, Shang Xia wasn’t stupid enough to say that out loud. Instead, he maintained a serious expression as he continued to explain, “A war between the experts of our Azure Ascension World and the cultivators of the foreign Azure Flame World is about to break out. Of course I can trust you.”

Gong Xinlan shot him a deep gaze and muttered, “Many thanks for the trust in me! I will definitely protect the artifact to the best of my abilities!”

By the time their conversation ended, Kou Chongxue’s Fire Element Fate Dipper Clone had long since grown impatient. Once he heard the end of their speech, he immediately quipped. “Alright, it’s settled then! If we still remain in here, we’re about to be royally fucked by the Azure Flame World’s Will!”

Shang Xia chuckled and released his dipper qi layer by layer. There were 6 waves of them in total, and Gong Xinlan was shocked by the sudden revelation.

Of course, it was impossible for Shang Xia to possess 6 fate dippers. However, he had already refined the sixth set of fate dipper essences he required!

When he was driving the Stellar Cauldron across the sea of stars, he managed to locate enough fate dipper essences of the five elements and he started to refinement.

That was one of the benefits Kou Chongxue’s clone mentioned to Shang Xia when he entered the cauldron back then.

After releasing his Five Element Dipper Qi in the cauldron, it started to tremble violently and the 3 people inside felt the pressure around them weaken considerably.

Even though they couldn’t see what was happening outside, they understood that the Stellar Cauldron had already left the spatial tunnel they were in and had arrived in the space above the Azure Flame World.

As the artifact that was the source of the spatial transfer, the moment it arrived, it not only attracted the attention of the experts from the Azure Ascension World. The experts of the Azure Flame World also noticed its existence.

When Shang Xia left the cauldron with Kou Chongxue’s Fire Element Fate Dipper Clone, he felt his scalp going numb from all the attention he was getting.

Because of Huang Jinghan and Jiu Du’s arrival, along with Kou Chongxue and Yifeng’s assistance, they managed to block off a good portion of Martial Sages trying to destroy Lu Wuzi’s light rings. The pressure on him was greatly lifted.

It was the first time the 4 greatest swordsmen of the Azure Ascension World were gathered together and fighting alongside each other, and it happened during an expedition to a foreign world!

Their tyrannical strength quickly attracted the attention of the peak-tier existences of the Azure Flame World.

They might be above the heavenly screen and were suffering from the least rejection from the World’s Will, but that didn’t mean it didn’t exist! They were also quickly overwhelmed by the number of experts on the other side and they weren’t able to hold their ground as firmly as they would have liked.

Fortunately, the Martial Dipper Realm experts of the Azure Ascension World started to fly over one after another. The closer they approached the heavenly screen, the stronger the signs of rejection. However, the experts of the Azure Ascension World had one clear advantage over the Martial Sages of the Azure Flame World. They knew how to fight in a battle formation!

Just that point alone was enough to counter the disadvantage the experts of the Azure Ascension World faced due to the rejection from the World’s Will. It even made up for the difference in numbers!

The Martial Dipper Realm experts streamed in in their squads and forced open a path through the experts who were around the tear in the heavenly screen. Pushing the experts of the Azure Flame World to the side, they created a safe passage for the Martial Extermination Realm experts to enter the world.

The safe passage where the Martial Extermination Realm experts were entering the Azure Flame World was also where the Stellar Cauldron appeared.

There was a peak-tier Martial Sage from the Azure Flame World who was forced out of his seclusion from the commotion happening and he couldn’t help but yell the moment he saw the Stellar Cauldron. “World Origin Artifact!”

He flew through space and ignored the battle around him completely. He could only care about the ancient-looking three-legged giant cauldron.

Not too far away from the tear in the heavenly screen, Kou Chongxue raised his head and stared at the expert who was rushing at the cauldron and yelled, “Take my place for a bit! I’ll go over and kill that guy first!”

Yifeng’s enraged roar came next. “Who would be able to take your position?!”

It was as though Kou Chongxue’s request was used to embarrass everyone present.

However, Huang Jinghan’s angry snort came next. “Shut up! Don’t you know how to work together in a battle formation?!”

Kou Chongxue soared through the air the next moment and 5 Martial Dipper Realm experts arrived to take his place to seal off the gap he created.

However, their actions caused a small gap to be formed in the safe passage the Martial Extermination Realm experts were using. A Martial Sage rushed over and attempted to carry out a massacre on the lower-leveled cultivators.

At the same time, Kou Chongxue’s figure was flashing through space. Unfortunately, he was a step slower than the peak-tier expert from the Azure Flame World.

Seeing as the other party was about to arrive beside the Stellar cauldron, his Fire Element Fate Dipper Clone leaped directly at him, in an attempt to merge with Kou Chongxue as he made his way over.

With his final fate dipper clone returning, Kou Chongxue finally returned to his peak state!

The peak-tier Martial Sage thought that the ‘World Origin Artifact’ belonged to him, but he felt a chill running through his body the next second. It was a feeling he had never felt before.

In his desperation to live, he gave up on the ‘World Origin Artifact’ decisively. A 4 layered barrier appeared behind him as he grabbed the void before him. A golden mace appeared in his hand the next second.

Ninth Heaven Divine Artifact!

The golden mace was also a divine weapon!

When he pulled his weapon out from the void, a tyrannical Origin Yang Sword Qi had already arrived. It shattered 2 layers of barrier in an instant before slamming heavily into the golden mace. A large region of space around them turned unstable the next moment and the Stellar Cauldron was like a tiny boat in the middle of the raging ocean as it was about to be swallowed by the violent spatial fluctuations.

The expert from the Azure Flame World retreated rapidly and he stared at the source of the sword qi with an incomparably serious expression. He gripped his golden mace with a renewed vigor.

Kou Chongxue had already arrived beside the cauldron at that point as he pointed the Hidden Frost Sword at his opponent in a very obvious taunt.

“Preposterous!” The Martial Sage from the Azure Flame World roared as he slammed his mace at Kou Chongxue through the void.

At the same time, a five colored stream of world origin emerged from the cauldron behind Kou Chognxue before sinking into his protection barrier.

With a slight intention, Kou Chongxue circulated his inner qi and sent it to his Hidden Frost Sword. A strand of Origin Yang Sword Qi was formed, and a second Origin Water Sword Qi appeared right after. Soon after, the Eternal Spring Sword Qi appeared. His Flame Column Sword Qi came next, and finally, his Mysterious Void Earth Sword Qi formed. He seemed to have reached a higher level of enlightenment the next moment.

Of course, the Martial Sage from the Azure Flame World wouldn’t give Kou Chongxue an opportunity like that. He raised his golden mace and slammed down, causing spatial fluctuations to ripple towards Kou Chongxue.

For him to be interrupted at the crucial moment, rage naturally filled Kou Chongxue’s heart. His Hidden Frost Sword, augmented by the different types of sword qi, stabbed outwards.

It tore through the spatial fluctuations as though they weren’t there to begin with and it parried the golden mace.

The next second, Kou Chongxue swung his sword again and tore through the protection barriers around the Martial Sage completely.

With a third stroke, the golden mace was sent flying.

A fourth swing cleaved down without giving his opponent time to react, and the Martial Sage had to sacrifice 2 clones in order to gain an opportunity to escape with his life. Terror filled his ears.

Kou Chongxue had no intentions of letting his opponent off this time. The fifth stroke was unleashed and before the Martial Sage could scream, he was swallowed by a blinding sea of sword light.

With the final slash, Kou Chongxue seemed to reach a new level of understanding. As his sword qi sundered the Martial Sage, the remnant energy tore open a giant opening thousands of miles long in the heavenly screen.

This time, the Azure Flame World was truly fucked!
