Chapter 837: Transfer?

On the platform in the Ruined Observatory, Kou Chongxue’s clone stared at the void that was filled with sword qi with a tense expression. Instead of heaving a sigh of relief, his expression remained solemn.

Kou Chongxue’s clone noticed that there was a strand of sword qi sealed in the platform when he arrived, and that was the reason he was able to pass through the restrictions with the Lightning Bird back then.

Back when Kou Chongxue opened up a secret path into the observatory with a slash of his sword, it shaved off a lot of the restrictions around it and became an area of weakness.

Lu Wuzi’s Halo Mirror lived up to its name and easily managed to find the location of the path. However, he didn’t know that it was where Kou Chongxue’s sword qi remained when he carved the path out back then. That wasn’t all. He also hid another strand of sword qi in case anything went wrong.

When Yi Jingxu followed Lu Wuzi’s instructions in an attempt to destroy the restrictions with starlight, he managed to activate Kou Chongxue’s sword qi.

The sword qi might be powerful, but Kou Chongxue’s clone knew that it was far from capable of harming Lu Wuzi, Yi Jingxu, and the rest.

After all, the sword qi his true body left behind was something he did so casually. A good portion of the power it contained was actually used up when the clone and the Lightning Bird entered the Ruined Observatory previously.

Indeed... After the sword qi emerged, Lu Wuzi’s scream filled the air.

“Kou Chongxue!”

His yell was so powerful that the sword qi started to tremble, and so did the space around him. The hidden sword qi might not have injured Lu Wuzi, but it caused such a massive disturbance that no one had the guts to approach the region.

Of course, everything that happened merely delayed the inevitable.

What Kou Chongxue’s clone didn’t know was that the sword qi earlier might not have killed Lu Wuzi or Yi Jingxu, but that didn’t mean everyone was perfectly alright. Lu Wuzi and Yi Jingxu blocked a good portion of energy that came from the sword qi, but Jian Yingzi from the Northern Sea Mystic Sect who had the lowest cultivation of the Martial Dipper Realm experts present was still injured by the sword qi. Her foundations weren’t affected, but she had no choice but to split off a Fate Dipper Clone and sacrifice it in order to remain perfectly alright. A Martial Extermination Realm cultivator behind her was slain by the powerful fluctuations that resulted.

Qing Pingzi looked to be in a sorry state as well, and a trace of lingering fear filled his heart. However, his injuries didn’t seem to be too heavy. Instead, the 2 Martial Extermination Realm disciples behind him were killed by the rain of sword qi.

Compared to those 2 Martial Dipper Realm experts, Yun Lingzi was in a much better state. He was perfectly alright, and he managed to protect those behind him.

The Heavenly Star Palace didn’t manage to escape unscathed either. However, they were in a much better state compared to those of the Northern Sea Mystic Sect. Yi Jingzi and their Martial Extermination Realm disciples stayed really far behind. They were able to react quickly. Despite their quick reactions, Yi Jingzi suffered slight injuries when she tried to protect the disciples behind her.

Compared to those 2, the Changbai Holy Land could basically be said to be really blessed. Because of Shen Baisong’s inferior strength, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to help them. Also, due to the alliance the Changbai Holy Land had with the Tongyou Institution, he was stuck in a pretty awkward situation. In the end, he chose to stay behind. When the sword qi appeared earlier, he had more than enough time to respond. No one from the Changbai Holy Land suffered any injuries. The only person who was affected was Shen Baisong, and he merely used up a little energy when protecting the Martial Extermination Realm cultivators of his faction.

On the platform, Kou Chognxue’s clone stared at the curtain of world origin that could be seen in the distance, ignoring those below for a moment. He saw it growing larger and larger, and he couldn’t help but mutter to himself... That kid is really amazing... He actually managed to control world origin to such an extent. I’m afraid even my true body won’t be able to do something like this... Well, he better hurry up... Man proposes, but God disposes. My true body made a lot of plans, and we can’t fumble at the last step! This granddaddy here and the dumb bird can’t stop the experts from the Northern Sea Mystic Sect and Heavenly Star Palace! Especially now that they’re boiling with rage and will stop at nothing...

“Chirp!” A loud cry came from behind and the Lightning Bird seemed to also have noticed the danger. It glided down from the Starry Tree and stood on the clone’s shoulder again. It seemed as though it would face the enemies with the clone.

“Hehe... Good bird!”

...

Back in the hidden valley... Actually, the valley was no longer there as the entire region was experiencing large-scale collapse.

“Run!” Liu Qinglan yelled the second Chu Jia’s formation crumbled. Even though that was what she yelled she flew straight at Han Mo who had barely snapped back to reality.

She was the Head Instructor of the Tongyou Institution, and everyone who was present at the moment could be considered her student. At the same time, she was the strongest Martial Extermination Realm expert among all of them. She could only choose to sacrifice herself to hopefully buy them some time to get away.

However, she was up against a Martial Dipper Realm expert... How much time would she be able to buy...?

“I’ll hand it over!” Dou Zhong roared, stunning Han Mo who was about to kill Liu Qinglan with a single slap. The energy in his palm was redirected as he simply shoved Liu Qinglan away.

“Let everyone leave. Otherwise, you’ll never get the book!” Dou Zhong continued as he took a step forward. He held the book in one hand, and he got ready to destroy it in case anything happened.

To that, he was met with a sneer from Han Mo. “Brat, did you forget how the book fell from the void? Do you really think you can destroy the book with your abilities? Or do you think that you will be able to destroy the book if all of you work together?”

Sucking in a cold breath, Dou Zhong growled, “Even if I can’t destroy the book, can’t I send it into a region of shattered space? Whatever it is, you won’t be able to get it!”

“Oh? Is that so?” Han Mo grabbed at the void beside him and 4 ice walls appeared to trap Liu Qinglan. The cold frost produced from his dipper qi reached for Liu Qinglan as it corroded the barrier around her. She was protecting herself with all her might, but it seemed like it wouldn’t last for long.

His tone turned chilly and he growled, “If you want her to live, hand the bronze book over to me like a good boy. Otherwise, this lady here is definitely going to die!”

“You can’t hand it over! The moment you do, everyone will die!” Liu Qinglan screamed, but the ice walls seemed to be blocking her voice from reaching Dou Zhong and the rest.

A frosty smile appeared on his face and he sneered, “Everyone, have you thought it though?”

Who would have thought that the next second, the Celestial Remains started to shake violently? Even a Martial Dipper Realm expert like Han Mo stumbled as the ice walls around Liu Qinglan shattered due to the shifting space.

...

In the forbidden region, Gong Xinlan was carefully making her way forward. She could tell that she was closing in on the true secret contained in the forbidden region, but the sense of unease in her heart grew stronger by the second. It was especially so when she saw the five colored light pillar earlier. It seemed to appear right in front of her, and the density of world origin around her skyrocketed the next moment.

She was a cultivator from the Jiao Continent, and even though she was taken in by the Yuanchen Sect as a disciple when she was young, she had never left the Jiao Continent before entering the Martial Dipper Realm. There was no need to talk about physically stepping into the Yuanchen Sect. She hadn’t even seen her martial brothers and sisters!

However, she had to admit that the Yuanchen Sect did everything in their power to help her before she entered the Martial Dipper Realm. Regardless of the type of spiritual herb, or advancement medicine, she received everything she could possibly require for cultivation. They even helped her to eliminate her enemies and take revenge for her family!

When everything was finally done, she stepped into the Martial Dipper Realm and left the Jiao Continent for the first time. For the first time, she entered the Yuanchen Sect and saw her fellow disciples, but there seemed to be an invisible barrier between them.

As Gong Xinlan matured, she gradually understood something. Other than one’s parents, no one would help someone unconditionally. Anyone who does so definitely has a hidden agenda in mind.

What was more, she discovered that throughout her growth, she was treated like a massive tool. There was someone guiding her and telling her everything she needed to do, as though she was nurtured for a specific purpose.

Back then, everything aligned with her interests and she didn’t think too much about it.

It was like how she entered the Martial Dipper Realm this time. Actually, she hadn’t been a Martial Dipper Realm expert for a long time. However, the Yuanchen Sect sent her a bunch of treasures that could be used to break restrictions and protective treasures. From that very moment, she discovered she had been thrown into a precarious situation.

The only thing she didn’t expect was that she would be used as a tool to enter the forbidden region to look for the Origin Holy Artifact!

Fortunately, she was pretty lucky. She might have slowed down as she ventured deeper into the forbidden region, and she might have run into many dangerous situations, her luck was great. She never actually reached a point where her life was threatened.

Just as she felt that she was about to reach her destination after breaking through the layers upon layers of restrictions, she felt a tyrannical sword qi behind her ripping through the restrictions without a care in the world.

Turning pale with fright, she turned her head abruptly only to be greeted with a majestic sword qi tearing through the void before it was swallowed by the terrifying spatial fluctuations caused by the activated restrictions.

The protective treasures on Gong Xinlan exploded one after another as she was struck by the spatial fluctuations.

“What’s going on?! They will definitely suffer a massive backlash if they try to forcefully break through the restrictions. Are those people outside going crazy?!” Gong Xinlan cried in fright. She only hoped that she would be able to protect herself under all the chaos that would happen.

The next second, she seemed to realize something. The sword qi that appeared earlier was tyrannical and majestic, but it wasn’t from her Martial Uncle, Huang Jinghan!

If it wasn’t Huang Jinghan, who could unleash such a powerful strike?!

Could other powers have already entered the forbidden region and were fighting with Huang Jinghan and Pang Jingyun? Did the sword qi smash into the forbidden region because Martial Uncle Huang failed to block it?

The thought flashed through her mind, but another powerful sword qi arrived next and shattered the final strand of hope she had.

Jiu Du’s sword qi tore a path into the forbidden region, and Huang Jinghan took the opportunity to carve out a spatial tunnel through the path that had been sliced open before forcefully stabilizing the space around the tunnel. Obviously, the spatial tunnel that was created that way wouldn’t last for long. However, it wouldn’t be a problem for Jiu Du and Huang Jinghan to step through it. During the process, the space around would only become more dangerous.

Whatever it was, Jiu Du and Huang Jinghan didn’t care any longer. They felt that locating the Origin Holy Artifact was the most important thing they had to do as they had to interrupt Kou Chongxue’s plans. They could no longer bother with anything else, including Gong Xinlan’s safety!

Jiu Du continued to slice at the space before him, and Gong Xinlan happened to be in his way.

With a loud cry for help, Gong Xinlan noticed that Huang Jinghan didn’t even spare her a second glance as he continued to slash away at the space around him to assist Jiu Du. With his Yuanchen Sword drawing a nice arc before him, another segment of the spatial tunnel was created.

In order to dodge Jiu Du’s sword, Gong Xinlan could only risk it all and jump into one of the regions of shattered space around her. She was instantly swallowed into the void as she disappeared completely.

“Such a shame... The kid is really too slow...” Huang Jinghan mumbled to himself. He truly found it a pity. After all, the Yuanchen Sect invested too much in her. Even though she was a mere tool, discarding her so easily couldn’t help but leave a bad taste in his mouth.

Jiu Du obviously managed to hear his sigh, and he roared with laughter, “Your Xiangyang Holy Land managed to ascend to become the Xiangyang Elysium. Now, you have a Sixth Order Ancestor in charge of things. The little lass definitely made some contributions in the past, but now, she’s completely useless. Brother Huang, there’s no need to feel bad about it. Moreover, it’s easier for us to carve out the spatial tunnel now because she destroyed most of the restrictions in the way. It doesn’t matter if she dies! She helped enough!”

Huang Jinghan sighed softly again before forcing a chuckle. “You’re right. Whatever it is, she was merely a step away from breaking through all the restrictions...”

“Brother Huang, what’s with your attitude right now? Even if that woman from the Jiao Continent doesn’t die today, your sect will still kill her eventually. If you let her live, you might even bring yourself some trouble in the future. It’s best for everyone that she dies here today.” Jiu Du sneered.

Turning to look at Jiu Du from the corner of his eye, Huang Jinghan growled, “Brother Jiu Du, stop messing around. Why are you so hesitant to make the final move and open up a path to the treasure? Are you getting cold feet?”

“Hehe...” Facing Huang Jinghan’s mockery, Jiu Du didn’t respond directly. Instead, he asked another question of his own. “Of course. I’m waiting for you to recover so we can work together!”

Seemingly having guessed something from Jiu Du’s expression Huang Jinghan released a soft snort. “Hah... Alright then!”

They released their moves in unison. A majestic sword qi was accompanied by a profound sword qi as they ripped through space.

The final layer of restrictions was torn apart, and the platform in the void was revealed. A five colored waterfall of world origin could be seen above the platform, along with a three-legged cauldron that was trembling violently.

Of course, that wasn’t all. There was a Fate Dipper Clone standing before the giant cauldron.

“Origin Holy Artifact!”

“Kou Chongxue, it’s really you!”

Jiu Du and Huang Jinghan yelled one after another.

However, they didn’t attack immediately. Instead, they acted as though they were about to face a great battle. They even subtly stood closer together.

Looking at the clone, they discovered that it looked really illusory and weak, as though it would fall over from a light breeze.

However, they didn’t dare to take it lightly. After all, there was a sword qi hovering before the clone. It was a sword qi that struck fear in their hearts!

“Hehe... The both of you came really early!” The clone raised his head to look at them, and there was a brilliant smile plastered onto his face.

The sword qi around him was unleashed, and a portion of it rushed into the spatial tunnel behind them.
