Chapter 744: ‘Grace’ From the Sixth Order

The 5 of them quickly met their fates. All of them suffered serious injuries and had regressed cultivation levels. In the end, 1 was killed while another self detonated. 2 of them were captured alive after struggling a little and the last gave himself up voluntarily.

As for the 4 who were stopped by the Sixth Order existences, none of them managed to live as the pillars of light eventually dissipated.

The huge battle seemed to finally reach its end as Shang Bo and the others quickly split up to do their own thing. The most important thing was naturally to gather the spoils of war.

Actually, there was something more important. They had to take care of the experts on their side who had fallen in battle.

In order to prevent any conflicts from breaking out, collecting the remains of those who had fallen was left to those from the same faction. If they weren’t part of any faction, experts of the 4 Elysiums would collect their remains and their belongings before handing them over to their respective disciples or clansmen.

Even if that was the case, they would only be able to recover 60 percent or so of whatever treasures they held.

A good portion of treasures, including fate dipper essences left behind after their Fate Dipper Clones fell, were destroyed during the huge battle that occurred.

The experts of the Spirit Abundance World had either died or managed to retreat, but the entire region of sealed space was in tatters after the chaotic battle between tens of experts in the Martial Dipper Realm. The region of sealed space showed signs of breaking down and that was why the experts of the Azure Worlds weren’t celebrating their victory yet. Instead, they were running about as quickly as they could to retrieve any valuables left behind. From how quickly they were moving, it seemed as though they couldn’t wait to leave.

The 3 Martial Dipper Realm experts of the Tongyou Institution managed to live through the battle, but that didn’t mean that they were completely out of the woods yet.

Shang Xia held on to a strangely shaped piece of crystal in his hand as his face turned completely pale. A trace of lingering fear could be seen on his face as he stared at a certain spot in the void.

Thousands of feet away, where his gaze was, space twisted in a horrifying manner. A talisman flickered unsteadily before dimming completely.

Shang Bo appeared close to him and the apprehension he felt finally dissipated after seeing that Shang Xia was fine. He sighed softly, “You were careless, weren’t you? I told you before, the more valuable the treasures, the more danger there would be when trying to retrieve it. Rather than risking your life, you should just let it be destroyed by the crumbling space.”

Shang Xia squeezed out a smile before shaking the crystal in his hand. “Hehe... There are at least 8 fate dipper essences in here. It’s not that much of a loss to trade a Substitution Talisman for it.”

Shang Bo shook his head helplessly and sighed, “Alright, let’s go. I saw Huang Jinghan rushing out of the glass barrier earlier and he should be heading for Patriarch Kou.”

“Huang Jinghan?” Shang Xia’s expression changed slightly. Isn’t he from the Yuanchen Sect?”

Shang Bo nodded in response. “He’s extremely famous and he’s a swordsman equal to Patriarch Kou. Earlier, the 4 pillars of light fell on the peak-tier Martial Dipper Realm experts of the Spirit Abundance World and 3 corpses had already been obtained by members of the 3 Elysiums. Huang Jinghan is probably going for the fourth.”

Shang Xia understood the considerations of those corpses and he couldn’t be bothered retrieving martial dipper essences or other resources from the battlefield any longer. He turned into a streak of light alongside his grandfather and charged towards where Kou Chongxue was supposed to be.

The region of space was crumbling due to the intense battle that happened and no one had the guts to take the risk of running through the regions of collapsed space. All of them could only obediently travel through whatever stable space there was left.

A distance of 10000 miles couldn’t be crossed by experts in the Martial Dipper Realm through flight and they would need some time to arrive. As they were flying, Shang Xia thought back to what Shang Bo said earlier and chuckled, “Huang Jinghan might be comparable to Patriarch Kou in the past, but after Patriarch Kou raised his cultivation from the third element to the fifth element of the Martial Dipper Realm in 1 short year, is there anyone who would dare to mess with him?”

“Did you already forget how the Yuanchen Sect possessed their own Elysium?” Shang Bo glanced at him before snorting softly.

Pressing his lips together, he didn’t say more. The Sixth Order of the Primary Realm. That was a realm even the Azure Worlds had no proper name for. However, everyone was clear on how strong they were after observing their role in the battle that happened.

At the very least, those 4 supreme existences were the guardians of the new world. They stood out to stop the invasion of the Spirit Abundance World.

Shang Bo’s tone changed again. “Oh right. Speaking of which, you’re right. Rather than saying they’re swordsmen of the same level, Patriarch Kou has already far surpassed him. Our patriarch should be considered an outstanding talent... After all, Huang Jinghan and the rest gained their reputation a long time ago. Patriarch Kou caught up, and now, he surpassed them.”

“Whatever it is, experts in the Martial Dipper Realm cannot be compared to existences in the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm. Even Patriarch Kou has no idea where to start when it comes to breaking through.” Shang Bo sighed.

Slightly unresigned, Shang Xia muttered, “How did Liu Jingsheng enter the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm then?! Hmph, didn’t Patriarch Kou appear to hold back their experts at the critical moment to allow their ascension to happen? Patriarch Kou also destroyed the other spatial tunnel...”

“Shush!” Shang Bo glared at him before interrupting. He stared at the glass barrier they left behind earlier and mumbled, “Do you know what an existence at the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm entails? Do you know if he will be able to hear you even from such distances?”

Slightly taken aback, Shang Xia’s voice turned hoarse, “No way... It can’t be that exaggerated, right?”

“Enough of this. We’re here.” Shang Bo interrupted him again.

When Shang Xia looked ahead, he saw Kou Chongxue and Huang Jinghan having some sort of conversation. The corpse of the Spirit Abundance Realm expert wasn’t too far away.

Their appearance couldn’t be hidden from experts of their level. Huang Jinghan merely glanced at them before turning back to Kou Chongxue. “... That’s the gist of it. Everything on the corpse can belong to you, even the Origin Dippers. However, I would need to bring away the corpse itself.”

“Feel free to do so!” Kou Chongxue exclaimed.

Cupping his fists at Kou Chongxue, he then turned to Shang Xia and Shang Bo before nodding once. With a wave of his hand, the corpse was brought away and he turned into a streak of light before leaving.

When they finally approached, Shang Xia could no longer hold back his curiosity. He asked, “Patriarch, why does the Yuanchen Sect want the corpse so badly?”

Even though Huang Jinghan said earlier that the spoils of war would go to Kou Chongxue, he brought the corpse away. Who would know what treasures the dead expert actually possessed?

Surprisingly, Kou Chongxue chuckled in response while pulling out a gray Spatial Pouch from his sleeves. “Relax. Our Tongyou Institution is poor and no matter how much I want to act graciously like them, I can’t bring myself to do it. Everything of value is here and the corpse only contains the Origin Dippers. It doesn’t matter how the Yuanchen Sect deals with it. At the end of the day, we’ll definitely gain an Origin Dipper.”

“So... What does the Yuanchen Sect want with the corpse?” Shang Bo asked.

Glancing at the grandfather-grandson duo, Kou Chongxue chuckled, “Liu Jingsheng was the one who killed him anyway. However, I bought him some time during the critical moment of the ascension. Also, they owe me for something back in the Starry Marsh Elysium. They owe me big time and decided to use the spoils of war as a way to return the favor.”

Shang Xia frowned and wondered out loud, “The Yuanchen Sect seems to have plotted everything down to the last detail. Even Liu... Even their successful ascension was because of your assistance! How can the favor be repaid so easily? Wait... Starry Marsh Elysium? Are you talking about the Celestial Remains?”

Kou Chongxue nodded in response. “That’s right. The Starry Marsh Elysium is its true name. Well... As for the favor, it’s good enough they plan to repay it now that they have an existence at the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm. Whatever it is, we can’t be picky now that they chose to give me some compensation... It would really make me seem like someone who doesn’t know how to repay someone else has shown me!”

Even though Kou Chongxue seemed to be joking, both of them could see the trace of mockery in his eyes.

Pausing slightly, Kou Chongxue became a little more serious. “Well, about that corpse... They probably wish to research his cultivation path. No one from the Azure Worlds has entered the grand completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm and they might wish to learn more about his cultivation methods. Even those supreme existences in the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm didn’t ascend after stepping into the grand completion stage!”
