Chapter 716: World Ascension: Return of the Islands
Earlier, when Shang Xia was focused on his connection with the World’s Will, he discovered the connection between it and the various holy lands. He also felt the strange origin essence that was different from what was contained in the lake.

From the looks of it, they were saving it for after the fusion of the worlds. They wanted to use it to supplement the World Ascension of the new world.
What surprised Shang Xia was that their Tongyou Institution wasn’t the only one who was doing it. Other factions from the Azure Origin World and the Azure Spiritual World were doing the same.
From their actions, it was clear that all of them had reached an agreement to assist the world when it transformed from an Azure World to a Spirit World!
“If all of us chose to pour the origin essence we obtained from the Manyu Continent into the new world, what was the point of fighting over it back at the Manyu Continent?!” That was what Shang Xia couldn’t understand.
When the World’s Will of the Manyu Continent was about to be extinguished back then, the various factions broke out into a significant amount of conflict while making their way over. Even the Northern Sea Mystic Sect was royally fucked over by Shang Xia and was greatly delayed.
After hearing his question, Ji Wenlong and Shang Bo couldn’t help but chuckle as they looked at each other. In the end, Ji Wenlong explained, “I thought that Patriarch Kou gave you a rundown of what was happening? Realizing what that meant, Shang Xia turned to his grandfather and asked, “Is that why…”
“With the strength of their Elysiums, they forcefully covered the effects of tearing the Heavenly Screen. It’s able to lower the risk of exposure of our new world in the vast sea of stars.” Shang Bo sighed.
The Heavenly Screen hid the world from the outside. When the huge leak in world origin lit up the Beyond Heavens Pavilion earlier, the Martial Dipper Realm experts were treating it like a massive emergency. It was clear how serious the situation was back then. Tearing the Heavenly Screen would cause an even larger disturbance.
The 3 Elysiums drew on the power of their Elysiums to cover up the effects of that happening in order to reduce the risk of the new world’s exposure.
Shang Xia muttered, “In that case, would we also need to use our Holy Land to cover up the effects of tearing the Heavenly Screen later when we integrate the Tongyou Island into the new world?”
“Of course!”
“Back when we brought the Tongyou Island to our Azure Origin World, we didn’t have a way to hide the effect of the Heavenly Screen tearing…” Shang Xia mumbled.
“Back when we brought the Tongyou Island back, we didn’t think that we would be targeted by the Spirit Abundance World.” Ji Wenlong sighed.
With the 3 Elysiums taking the lead to integrate their islands into the world, the various factions also started to make their move. The various islands hovering above the new world started to descend.

Ji Wenlong made the first move as his hand formed a claw and he grabbed at the vast space out there. There seemed to be a giant hand leading the Tongyou Island and the giant landmass that was close to 1000 miles wide sank violently.
“Down!”
Ji Wenlong growled and slowly retracted his arm.
A powerful spatial ripple appeared on the Heavenly Screen outside the pavilion and the stars in the distance started to distort and shift due to the twisting of space.
It wasn’t difficult for any Martial Dipper Realm expert to pull a land mass as large as the Tongyou Island, but the true challenge came when they had to control the speed and direction of where it was going.
After the Tongyou Paradise was created, Ji Wenlong became a lot stronger. With the power of the Holy Land, even Shang Bo might not be his opponent when they were within the confines of the You Continent.
He even displayed a portion of his strength earlier when he split the battlefield between the two worlds and merged 60 percent of it with the You Continent. Of course, his fate dipper also allowed him to possess fine control over the earth.
Because of that, he was the one who made the first move, rather than Shang Bo.
Even though Shang Bo didn’t start the ball rolling, he didn’t remain idle.
As the pavilion started to rise into the air again, the weakness of the world they covered up was revealed once again. The Nine Blossom Jade Formation Disc that was supposed to be the next layer of protection disappeared as well, and a huge amount of world origin was about to pour out into the void.
Before that could happen, Shang Bo took a step out of the pavilion and firmly stabbed his spear down at the emerging world origin.

A dull noise filled the Beyond Heavens Pavilion and the world origin that was about to leak out was forced back into the world.
Shang Bo’s spear didn’t just push world origin back down. It stabbed through the weakness of the world and revealed the You Continent under the Heavenly Screen. World origin that had been forced back into the world turned into a giant spiraling vortex.
Shang Xia could tell that both of them had used enough power to flip the heavens, but the effects didn’t spread as far as he thought it would.
Shang Xia looked around the pavilion and eventually understood that it was suppressing the shockwaves that were produced due to their actions. He could also clearly feel the connection between the pavilion and the Tongyou Paradise at that moment.
As the island drew closer and closer under Ji Wenlong’s control, Shang Xia gradually noticed its giant silhouette in the distance.
With Shang Bo pushing world origin back into the world, the opening in the Heavenly Screen grew larger and larger.
Contrary to what they were seeing, the weakness of the world wasn’t growing larger just because of the widening opening. It was an exquisite control of space and after the Tongyou Island passed, the opening would quickly return to normal. The Nine Blossom Jade Formation Disc would also reappear to plug the hole.
Completing such an impressive task would naturally put a huge strain on Shang Bo. He had to use a lot of his inner qi to sustain the opening of the Heavenly Screen.
With the opening in the Heavenly Screen, Ji Wenlong constructed a spatial tunnel towards the east of the You Continent, leading to the sea.
As the Tongyou Island started to fall at a greater speed, a strange spatial energy wrapped itself around it and it entered the spatial tunnel not too far outside the Beyond Heavens Pavilion.
From where he stood, Shang Xia could clearly see that the spatial tunnel was merely a thousand or so feet wide. Even so, the Tongyou Island that was close to 1000 miles wide managed to fit within. Only Martial Dipper Realm experts could do such a thing.
With the power of space wrapping itself around the island, the island eventually appeared in the skies above the You Continent. Even so, Ji Wenlong, Shang Bo, and Shang Xia didn’t dare to relax. Instead, they became even more careful.
If anything happened to the island when it was still in space, or when it was traveling through the spatial tunnel earlier, they wouldn’t cause much harm to the You Continent or the world below. Now that it was suspended above the You Continent, things were vastly different. The moment a mistake was made, the island would slam straight down into the You Continent. The consequences would be disastrous!
With the Tongyou Island hanging high above the You Continent, it was the best time for anyone plotting against the Tongyou Institution to make their move.
That was what Ji Wenlong and Shang Bo wanted Shang Xia to be ready for.
With his figure blurring, Shang Xia left the pavilion. He reappeared in the Tongyou Paradise the next moment, under the Nine Blossom Jade Formation Disc.
He raised his head to look at the core of the Tongyou Paradise before taking out a yellow gourd from his sleeves. He handed it to Chu Jia who was wearing a strange expression.
“Is this the Spirit Extermination Gourd Patriarch Kou sealed his sword in?” Chu Jia recognized the treasure. She also knew how powerful it was. A sense of unease filled her heart and she asked, “Why are you giving this to me?”
“If any accidents happen later, I won’t be able to remain hidden for much longer. However, we have to maintain the illusion of Patriarch Kou’s presence in the Tongyou Paradise. We cannot allow anyone to discover the fact that he’s not here.” Shang Xia chuckled.
Chu Jia understood what he meant. After all, Shang Xia’s presence in the Tongyou Paradise gave everyone the illusion that Kou Chongxue was cultivating in seclusion.
The moment he revealed his existence and they managed to maintain the illusion of Kou Chongxue remaining in seclusion in the Tongyou Paradise, they would be able to strike fear in the hearts of those plotting against them.
