Chapter 613: Ignoring

Because of the strong spatial ripples, the Martial Dipper Realm expert who hadn’t shown himself could only reach out with one hand to try to grab the Tongyou Island.

However, Shang Xia released his Four Constellation Samsara Nether Blade which contained his extermination origins. It struck the giant palm in the air and it froze, no longer advancing towards the Tongyou Island.

The fact that he did that shocked everyone present.

“What are you waiting for?! Hurry up and leave!” Shang Xia didn’t bother turning to stare at the giant palm in space after releasing his martial intent. Instead, he turned back and ran in the direction of the Tongyou Island.

With the time he bought for them, Chu Jia and the others managed to regain control over the island. The parts that were breaking down quickly received an infusion of energy through the formation nodes in the area and they no longer broke off. The grand formation resumed its operation and the protection barrier quickly strengthened to its peak state.

As Shang Xia made his way back, the Tongyou Island started to accelerate.

In the next instant, Shang Xia felt a disturbance in range of his divine perception. By the time he turned his head to take a look, he only managed to catch a dull yellow ray of light flashing through space.

A miserable soft cry entered his ears and the giant palm in the air that was stalled by his Four Constellation Samsara Nether Blade started to break down.

By the time he stepped foot onto the island, Shang Xia saw the region of space around the spatial tunnel they emerged from crumbling completely. A horrifying aura emerged but it was destroyed by the numerous cracks that formed in space.

At the same time, the spatial tunnel that led back to the Azure Origin World shattered.

Shang Xia returned to the core region and yelled, “Patriarch Kou made his move. He personally destroyed the spatial tunnel.”

“How is the situation out there for the foreign Martial Dipper Realm expert?” Yun Jing asked.

Shaking his head slightly, Shang Xia muttered, “He definitely suffered a loss in Patriarch Kou’s hands. However, it’s impossible for him to be killed even with the destruction of the spatial tunnel due to the huge distance separating them.”

As if on cue to prove Shang Xia right, a twisted spatial door appeared in the distance. A sorry figure was forced out of the void.

Even though the Tongyou Island had moved a thousand or so miles away from their original position, the experts on the island could clearly see what was happening 2000 miles away with the help of the grand formation.

The Martial Dipper Realm expert who emerged clearly felt their eyes on him and he turned to stare in the direction of the Tongyou Island to reveal a sinister smile.

Yun Jing asked, “Have we established contact with Patriarch Kou and Deputy Patriarch Ji again?”

“Not yet!” Chu Jia muttered in a deep voice.

Because the Tongyou Institution exited the spatial tunnel prematurely, they lost connection with Kou Chongxue and Ji Wenlong.

Both sides would be able to locate each other using their grand formations, but it would take some time.

Yun Jing didn’t rush Chu Jia again and she hissed, “Looks like we can only rely on ourselves.”

Yan Su’er didn’t say a word and a light flickered in her eyes.

Shang Xia also sighed softly, “It’s not easy for us to catch the aura of a Martial Dipper Realm expert. We will only stand a chance if we stop his first strike.”

Yan Su’er seemed to have thought of something and she tried her best to remain calm as she suggested, “Why don’t we use Empty Mountain again? We’ll be able to buy ourselves an hour of time…”

Yun Jing didn’t need to say anything when Chu Jia responded, “It might not be able to fool an expert at the Martial Dipper Realm. Even if we did manage to escape from his senses, Patriarch Kou and Deputy Patriarch Ji might miss us too.”

“Why don’t we…” Yan Su’er tried to suggest something, but Yun Jing seemed to have already guessed what she was going to say.

Without hesitation, Yun Jing declared resolutely, “Unless we fail to hold on, we cannot allow that to happen!”

Shang Xia was even more confused. However, he connected the dots and realized that Yan Su’er might have wanted to suggest getting Shang Bo out of seclusion and he immediately shot her a warning glance.

Before anyone else could speak, the feeling of danger arrived. Shang Xia felt as though someone had grabbed his heart and he quickly expanded his divine perception. Unfortunately, he failed to discover anything.

Whatever the case, he didn’t forget to warn the others. “It’s coming!”

After predicting so many things correctly, everyone on the Tongyou Island didn’t have the slightest bit of doubt that he would make a mistake. They poured their inner qi crazily into the formation node they were standing on, and the cultivators of the Ren Clan and those who were saved did the same. They might be in the Martial Intent Realm and under, but they gave their all nonetheless.

The protection barrier around the core region released resplendent rays of light and seemed to turn a lot stronger. Everyone immediately felt more reassured.

It was a shame the feeling only lasted for a second. A golden ray appeared above the Tongyou Island and it started to expand at a ridiculous rate. Everyone on the island couldn’t help but close their eyes to avoid the piercing light.

Blinded by the golden rays, a clear shattering sound could be heard and everyone could feel a hole being punctured in their protection barrier.

Clang!

Another crisp ring filled the island and cultivators who hadn’t reached the Martial Extermination Realm felt their brains buzzing as an incessant ringing filled their ears. There were even some who fainted or died after blood burst out from their ears.

Beside the Nine Blossom Jade Formation Disc, Shang Xia grunted once before spitting out a mouthful of blood.

As the ray of light approached Shang Xia, he raised his Abyssal Blade to block it at the very last second before tumbling through the air.

A Martial Dipper Realm Ancestor was a terrifying existence alright. Even if he was heavily injured, he still possessed tyrannical strength.

The ray of light might have been greatly weakened after it broke through the protection barrier, but it still gained the upper hand when it collided with Shang Xia’s Abyssal Blade.

Even though it failed to claim Shang Xia’s life, it managed to wipe away the confidence he gained after he stopped the giant palm in space earlier.

Shang Xia felt the Abyssal Blade trembling in his hand as his right shoulder went numb. He might have forcefully blocked the blow earlier, but he knew it was almost the limit of his abilities.

More importantly, Shang Xia raised his head only to see a figure materializing not too far away from the Tongyou Island. It was the Martial Dipper Realm expert of the Spirit Abundance World who had been injured by Kou Chongxue in the spatial tunnel earlier.

The expert of the Spirit Abundance World seemed to also notice Shang Xia’s gaze that very instant and he turned to stare at the youngster.

Their gazes met, but the outcome clearly wasn’t something the expert of the Spirit Abundance World expected. The corners of Shang Xia’s lips curled upwards and a look of mockery appeared on his face.

“I got you now…”

A yellowish gourd appeared in the void above the Tongyou Island the next second.

The moment the cork on the gourd popped open, a tiny jade green sword emerged. Under Shang Xia’s control, it locked onto the aura of the expert of the Spirit Abundance World.

As soon as it did, the expert of the Spirit Abundance World felt a trace of danger blooming in his heart. It was a feeling only those who had a near-death experience would understand. Shock and fear filled his mind.

The jade green sword that was barely 3 inches in length emitted a terrifying aura as a majestic sword light appeared in the space above the island. The protection barrier that restored the hole that had been punched through by the attack from the expert of the Spirit Abundance World started to shake violently.

The instant Shang Xia released the sword qi, Kou Chongxue raised his eyebrows and grunted once. He had been sitting on the platform beside the Void Abyss and his eyes slowly opened. He was amused as he chuckled, “Wow, the kid actually managed to control himself the whole time. He held onto my sword qi for so long before using it!”

Ji Wenlong, who had been searching for the Tongyou Island in the vast sea of stars by pouring his consciousness into the grand formation hurriedly asked, “Have you discovered the location of the island?”

“I found it, but there’s something troublesome we have to deal with right now.” Kou Chongxue nodded in response.

Ji Wenlong asked, “Are you referring to the expert of the Spirit Abundance World?”

“I have to chase him away. Hold my position for me.” Kou Chongxue got to his feet all of a sudden.

Before he could do anything, Ji Wenlong yelled, “You can’t!”

Kou Chongxue shot him a glance in response. “Why not? Right now, the island is merely tens of thousands of miles away from the Azure Origin World. You alone are more than capable of constructing another spatial tunnel.”

“Things are troublesome out there, but it’s not exactly calm here either…” Ji Wenlong grumbled.

With his expression sinking, Kou Chongxue snorted softly. In the end, he didn’t leave the platform he was on.

Seeing Kou Chongxue’s reaction, Ji Wenlong quickly continued, “If we work together, we can definitely pull our men back. We can give up the island as long as we retrieve the Nine Blossom Jade Formation Disc…”

Snorting again, Kou Chongxue seemed extremely dissatisfied with what they could do. However, he still returned to where he originally sat.

Right after he got back, his eyebrows shot up in surprise and he gasped in shock. The frown on his face turned upside down and he started to laugh. “Hey? Looks like we won’t have to worry about them anymore.”

“What’s going on?” Ji Wenlong was a little confused by his sudden change in behavior.

A Martial Dipper Realm expert was actually locked onto by a Martial Extermination Realm cultivator.

The expert of the Spirit Abundance World was shocked by the sudden appearance of the majestic aura from the tiny sword. No matter how incredulous he found it, he could tell that the killing intent that came from the sword was real.

The sword qi fused with the void dozens of miles around. Even though nothing seemed to happen when the sword qi swallowed the expert of the Spirit Abundance World, a loud ringing sound rang in the ears of those present.

When that happened, the space was filled with a burst of golden light.

The same golden shuttle that pierced through the Tongyou Island’s protection barrier reappeared.

Shang Xia raised his guard the second he saw what happened.

He realized that despite the strength of the sword qi sealed in his Spirit Extermination Gourd, Kou Chongxue wasn’t the one personally wielding it! It might be possible to injure an expert at the Martial Dipper Realm, but there wasn’t much hope of actually killing the enemy.

Shang Xia had seen the abilities of a Martial Dipper Realm expert up close and he knew how strong they were.

Disregarding everything else, just their fate dippers alone could be used to form a clone that possessed a portion of their combat abilities. Just that point alone would ensure that they couldn’t be killed easily!

It was also then when Shang Xia noticed a tyrannical divine will coming from the depths of space.

When they felt it, Chu Jia’s excited voice also rang in the minds of everyone present. “We made contact! Patriarch Kou noticed us!”

After she spoke, a chaotic and deranged aura also made a reappearance from the region of space that had been submerged in the sword qi that came from the tiny jade green sword.

Shang Xia’s prediction came true. The expert of the Spirit Abundance World was still alive!
