He thanked the souls he had devoured to nurture his Spirit Soul before he took a look around.

"I'm probably too weak to even carry a single corpse with me...I don't have a spatial ring either!"

Kyle was sure that a spatial ring, which could store inanimate objects and dead beings, was great. But, his initial assumption was that a 'Storage' ability would have been even better.

However, after giving it a second thought, he decided that he would never switch the <Nurture> ability with any kind of 'Storage' ability!

The mere thought of it seemed ridiculous to him.

There were just too many items that could store objects, and living beings! Why would he want a storage ability?

Furthermore, he had high hopes of his Nurture ability!

He might be unable to use it for now, but Kyle was able to sense that his ability wouldn't stay unused for long!

After all, nutrition could be converted to energy too!

Before he would be able to absorb [Soul force], which was the name Spirit Soul Cultivators gave to the energy they absorbed, Kyle would have to utilize other means to nurture his Spirit Soul!

A Spirit Soul absorbed all three energies, namely mana, spiritual force, and primordial energy, and then transmuted them into Soul force which made it compatible to be used by the Yadras race's body!

Owing to this unique feature, Spirit Soul cultivators were able to pursue all three paths of cultivation, if they wanted to.

One was also able to follow only one or two paths while neglecting the rest, but that would be the same as wasting precious potential!

This was definitely not what Kyle wanted.

Unfortunately, he had other things to pay attention to right now!

That was because the scent of fresh blood permeated the air!

The face-off between both the long-tusk boars and the sand wolf had caused enough commotion and the scent of blood would attract more predators soon. freewebnovel.c(o)m

As such, Kyle had to leave quickly!

There were only a few things he had to get done before he could leave.

After using the branch, he realized that he was in dire need of creating a powerful weapon and the long-tusks seemed to be well suited for this purpose!

Thus, he wanted to take a few with him to shape them into some great weapons.

Those weapons would be much easier to handle and help him cause more lethal damage to his prey than a simple, dull branch.

While he thought of this, Kyle's stomach began to rumble, reminding him that he needed food before weapons.

He had suppressed his hunger for the last few hours and focussed on the battle in front of him, but he was fully aware of the importance nutrition had!

His physique was extremely weak and he had yet to start experimenting with his <Nurture> ability!

Other than that, he had to quench his thirst too!

"The area around the stream would most likely be the habitat of many strong beasts, and I doubt there won't be other beasts nearby the stream too...should I just drink blood then?"

His biggest issue right now was that even the weakest unscathed beast was stronger than him!

In addition to that, the Spirit Soul he would awaken was going to have the poorest talent.

Nevertheless, creating the Egg of the beginning was still a long and arduous task.

Kyle was sure that he would have to devour the souls of dozens of beasts at the Fortification stage to achieve the same!

If he could find a single, dying beast at the Vitae stage, Kyle wouldn't be facing such issues!

The Vitae stage was the cultivation realm that one reached after one's vessel was created, filed to the brim, and further developed.

Hence, it would save him a lot of time and effort after he reached it.

The quality of the devoured soul of the beast at Vitae stage was far more valuable than a high quantity of weaker beasts.

Thus, Kyle couldn't help but hope that his luck had yet to run out!

Right now, he was unable to complain about his current situation, and even if the situation were to be bad, grumbling would do him little good!

In the end, Kyle had already devoured the souls of several Low ranked Fortification stage beasts and he was still alive!

This was not something he had expected to achieve within the first few hours on his first day on Shima!

Unfortunately, Kyle began to sense that his greed was overwhelming him.

He had already obtained so many things, like a chance to rewrite his destiny and shape his future by reincarnating in addition to two traits, which Kyle was able to procure through the reincarnation trials!

As such, he calmed down and pulled at the already loose fang of the sand wolf's maw.

Using the fang, he started to cut out several big chunks from one of the boar's bodies. freewebnov(e)l

Once a beast was dead, the entire life force that had strengthened its body gradually dissipated turning it into an ordinary corpse

Owing to the reduced toughness of the boar hide, Kyle faced less difficulty in procuring several chunks of meat, making him put in far less energy than required.

Unfortunately, he was not even wearing any clothes in which he could pocket something, right now.

This forced him to cut out a small piece of durable boar hide too!

Though the hide wasn't as tough as before, the fang wasn't sharp like a knife making it extremely difficult for Kyle, who took more than half an hour to achieve this simple feat!

Fortunately, other beasts had yet to approach him so he could concentrate on the task at hand!

Once he was done, Kyle was finally able to transfer the pieces of meat and fangs within the piece of hide.

His temporary sack was not comfortable but it freed his hands and gave him the chance to carry things with him while doing other activities.

'If I had enough time, I would have used the boar's tendons as a string to sew a small pouch or even a bow for later use..'

Yet, only a few seconds later, Kyle noticed how overzealous he had become.

As such, he had to take a deep breath to calm his jittery nerves.

He wanted to take at least one tusk with him before departing, but his gut feeling told him that it was already too late.

Yet, rather than listening to his gut feeling, Kyle used his entire weight to jump on the boar's tusks in an effort to break it, but nothing seemed to happen.

Gritting his teeth, he repeated the same procedure and jumped on the exact same spot of the tusk several times in succession before he finally heard a faint crack.

When he heard the cracking noise, Kyle inspected the tusk before he moved to a different spot to jump on.

This was important to weaken the joint, widen the cracks and thereby break the tusk!

His trick seemed to have worked because less than three minutes later, Kyle held two long but heavy tusks on his shoulder, while he neatly folded the piece of hide around the chunk of meat.

He embraced the hide tightly before rushing off upon hearing faint noises within the thicket behind him.

In less than three seconds, Kyle had disappeared in the nearby bushes as a small group of starving beasts found the carcasses that had been left behind.

Kyle didn't notice what happened afterward because he had more than enough things to pay attention to by himself!

After running for three minutes straight, Kyle noticed that he was unable to run further.

Clutching his chest, he breathed heavily, gasping for air! This served as a painful reminder of just how weak he was.

His stomach was rumbling loudly too and Kyle felt that his energy was depleting rapidly.

As such, he took a look at the chunks of meat he had stored within the piece of hide.

'I won't die if I were to eat raw meat. Food poisoning is not something we Yadras get that easily…'

Kyle couldn't believe that he was seriously considering eating raw meat, but he felt that his energy was being drained by the second!

Furthermore, he was so thirsty that his lips were dry to the point of being brittle and his throat was parched.

"F*ck this sh*t!" He mumbled as a glint of determination could be seen in his eyes.
