Blood and numerous corpses created a trail leading in the direction Jaden was going to show them.

Yet, at the sight of the blood and all the corpses, he subconsciously slowed down and became more vigilant.

He was only at the low Vitae stage and far from powerful. Everyone else was stronger than him. In fact, only Kyle and Arashi were still at the Vitae stage with him.

The others had already advanced to the Krysal stage, reaching a combat prowess that was even higher than Kyle's.

Though by combining his strength with Arashi, Kyle might be able to fight his partners, not that it was necessary.

At the end with Aurora and Arashi's help, Kyle was still the strongest but that didn't really matter to him.

"There is no need to be afraid. There are no beasts in the surrounding area. In fact, I can already see Beatrice. You did a great job leading us. Now we only have to leave without leaving behind any trails!" Kyle said, patting Jaden's back.

Jaden was confused, and he looked at Kyle with an expression that seemed to scream 'what the hell do you mean?'.

"See? How can you see that far? There are only trees and bushes…how?" Jaden asked, clearly showing that he was not up to Kyle's game yet.

He was also wondering why it was necessary to leave without leaving behind any trails.

It may be something Jaden had expected, but he was still curious. His curiosity was killing Jaden, but he kept quiet about it, deciding that it was something he could ask when they were 'safe'.

"I will explain that later. Let's run a bit." Kyle simply said before setting off. He manifested a gust of wind around Jaden to accelerate his speed before running through the forest they had entered quite a while ago.

There was no need to slow down much with his winds pushing Jaden ahead.

Nonetheless, they were a little bit slower than Kyle could have hoped for.

"Beatrice, don't hide from us and come out," Kyle spoke in a low voice. He could tell that Beatrice sensed him, but something was a little bit off.

She was not actually hiding from them but something seemed to hinder her from going over to Kyle.

And when they entered a small open area, where a beautiful lake reflecting the moonlight illuminated the surrounding, Kyle could immediately see what was going on.

'Berserk state?' He wondered, seeing that Beatrice was fighting some weird fish monsters. Her entire body was covered in the blood armor she could only manifest gauntlets of before they had left.

Kyle knew that she was not able to control her full blood armor yet either. It was just that she had manifested it without realizing it when losing her reasoning.

Only thanks to the blood pact with Kyle was she able to calm down a bit, regaining a trace of her reasonability. After all, the blood pact allowed her to notice that Kyle had returned from the Ancient treasury and that he was looking for her.

But even that was not enough for Beatrice to regain her reasoning entirely. She was not even sure what was going on. This evening, she had smelled something odd that caused her entire skin to itch, and all of a sudden it was already close to midnight, and the full moon had arisen.

Beatrice had been outside hunting, not minding the itchiness. She had simply presumed that she was itching because her gut feeling told her that Kyle would return soon.

However, the moment the moonlight shone on her, she lost her reasoning. Vampires were usually good at controlling themselves, even when the full moon allowed them to release more of their powers.

Unfortunately, Beatrice was not a Vampire, and someone of an Old race, and none of them had an idea about, what they even were.

Kyle saw that some Fishman, creatures that looked like small human-like built fishes, were trying to tear Beatrice apart. Their strength was not weak, and even the weakest of them was at the Lowest Krysal stage.

But instead of tearing apart Beatrice, it was her, who killed all of them, using her brute force, the blood armor to enhance her attacks and daggers that were enmantled with the blood of her opponents.

It was a cruel sight but Beatrice was literally a blood woman right now, killing her opponents as if she blew out some candles.

Selene and Yasmine looked at their friend with a frown. Meanwhile, Kyle had already appeared behind her, his hand reaching out to her.

"Calm down!" He commanded the Sprite Armor that fluttered in the wind making it seem as if he was a king commanding his subject.

However, Kyle began to smile shortly after he commanded Beatrice to calm down.

Her Blood armor that had covered her entire body, hiding it from everyone's sight turned semi-translucent.

Beatrice's beautiful face came to light, her crimson eyes fixated on Kyle's neck.

Seeing this reaction, Kyle could only shake his head. 'Doesn't she have enough conserves?'

"Fresh…" Beatrice mumbled as if she understood him. Her voice was oddly weak, and the moment Kyle noticed that he moved away a part of the Sprite armor and the clothes he wore underneath.

With the use of his wind affinity, Kyle pushed the Fishman away, while simultaneously pulling Beatrice's clothes.

He held her at her waist and revealed his neck to her.

"Here you go," Kyle said, his expression not changing a bit. He was still smiling, acting as if everything was perfectly fine.

Seeing Kyle for the first time in such a long time, Beatrice had so many things to say. However, right now, her mind was befuddled, and her thirst for blood was stronger than ever.

Even the remaining conserves of Kyle's blood hadn't been enough to quench her thirst. This was illogical and not something that ought to happen.

Her fangs grew without Beatrice intending to, and her eyes began to glow in crimson color. A moment later head reached out for his neck, and her hands coiled around him.

Selene covered her eyes the moment she saw the seductive way in which Beatrice was being held by Kyle. However, her fingers parted just a moment later, allowing her to see through the small gap she had created.

On the other hand, Yasmine sighed deeply, feeling jealousy running through her body. It was not as if she wanted to take a bite of Kyle, at least not in the same way as Beatrice.

However, it was still an advantage Beatrice had over all of them. She was bound to be together with Kyle forever, and her reasoning was quite simple; She needed his blood not to turn into a monstrous existence.

That was simple enough to count as a reason. Kyle would never push her away, that was for sure.

Yasmine sighed deeply again when Beatrice had finished drinking Kyle's fresh blood. The corners of her lips were still red from his blood, and she moved her head only a bit away from his.

Her eyes stared deep into Kyle's emerald eyes, her blood armor disappeared, and without intending it, Kyle's hand moved closer to the thin clothes she was wearing.

At that moment, Kyle wanted to let her go. But even before he was able to do something, Beatrice pulled his head closer to him, using her arms that were still coiled around him.

Tilting her head a bit, she reached forward, closed her eyes, and planted a kiss on his lips.

At that moment, hell had frozen for both Selene and Yasmine, who had looked at the situation in front of them.

'This bitch!! How dare she kiss him?!? Before I did that!!" Selene nearly screamed out, her feet moving subconsciously in their direction.

She wanted to intervene in their kiss, or rather, in Beatrice's try to prolong the kiss she had forced on Kyle.

Meanwhile, Kyle was just stupefied. He was not sure what exactly was going on, but the blood pact between him and Beatrice began to act up. Something was wrong with Beatrice, and he had no idea what it was.

The weird feeling he got from the blood pact weakened the longer he was close to her. Thus, he didn't do anything even after their kiss lasted a few seconds already.

It was not as if Kyle had actually something against it, after all, Beatrice was extremely beautiful!

Only when he sensed something from his side, did Kyle react. He pushed Beatrice away and used his wind affinity again before blasting a powerful wind toward his side.

A moment later, several fireballs exploded next to Kyle and Beatrice, killing the remaining Fishman, who would have attacked the two otherwise.

Kyle had separated from Beatrice, who was still looking at him, lust in her eyes. He, however, looked over to Yasmine, who had an ice-cold expression as she shrugged her shoulders.

"The beasts nearly attacked you guys." That was her excuse for the attack that was clearly intended to hit Kyle and Beatrice.

"Can…we continue?" Beatrice asked all of a sudden. Selene exclaimed when she heard this, while Yasmine began to frown deeply. Kyle was just about to say something as Selene appeared out of the shadow behind Beatrice. She used her hand to cover Beatrice's mouth before throwing her into the cold lake.

Kyle just blinked his eyes at the sight of this, before he saw that Selene had reached out with her hand, moving to his lips.

Selene's eyes were fixated on Kyle's lips but instead of forcing a kiss on his lips as well, she was holding a handkerchief with which she wiped his lips until they almost began to bleed.

"This dirty bit…I mean Beatrice might infect you. Who knows if it was only your blood on her….l-li—lips…." She said without adding anything else. She felt like cursing at Beatrice, but she told herself that her friend had lost control and that this was the reason for her to cheat in their game that ought to be fair…

Kyle frowned when he heard what kind of nonsense Selene was talking but he merely looked over to Beatrice, whose head had emerged from the cold lake.

"Soooo cold.." She said, her voice quivering. And as if it was on command, Yasmine manifested several huge flames around Beatrice, engulfing her with them the moment her beautiful friend had fully emerged from the water.

"Sooo hot…" Beatrice just said, feeling as if her entire body was turning to ashes. However, just a moment later, the flames extinguished, Yasmine's ice-cold eyes staring deeply at Beatrice, who could only look apologetic.

"Welcome Back?"

On the other hand, Jaden, who had looked at the entire situation in front of them with neutral eyes, could only frown deeply. He swallowed his saliva and felt like turning around right at this instant.

'Just where the hell did I step into?!'
