Taking a look at a scale that had the size of his hand, Kyle's eyes gleamed.

He had already expected that he would see an overly familiar black scale with golden outlines, but to think that it was truly the same, Kyle couldn't help but smile brightly.

"Yeah, it is the same as the black scale from the Sadorla forest, the same scale that separated us!" He said.

Picking up the black scale with golden vein-like patterns on them, he took a proper look at it.

In this scale, no sentience seemed to have been planted.

Somehow, this was against his expectations because he had hoped to be able to speak to the owner of the scale a little bit.

He wanted to know why it had sent him to the flying island where the Razkadan castle had been located.

In the end, there had to be a reason for him to have been separated from Selene.

It brought him many benefits, that was for sure but Kyle doubted that the sentience of the black scale teleported him to the flying island just to help him grow, and meet more comrades.

Thus, t was quite sad that the scale did not have a fraction of sentience intertwined inside it.

However, when Kyle saw Selene taking out the exact same black scale from her spatial ring, he looked at her for a moment.

"You picked up the scale after we got separated?"

Selene just nodded as an answer without actually saying anything about it.

After the goldish-black scale used up every trace of energy in the surrounding and within itself in order to stop the Tenux storm from spreading, and to teleport Kyle away, Selene didn't know what to do.

She had picked up the scale, in the hope that it would help them to reunite.

This was not the case, at the end of the day, but the scale might still be useful.

With that in mind, she handed Kyle the scale without hesitation.

Taking a glance at both scales, Kyle put them next to each other without thinking much about what he was actually doing right now.

He somehow hoped that the sentience within the energy drained scale would convert towards the other scale or that the energy within the scale that was brimming with power was being transferred toward the empty scale.

However, nothing seemed to happen in the first few seconds, until Kyle inserted his Soul force inside both scales.

Kyle wanted to try out a few things because he could tell that there was something special about the black scales.

But considering that not even inserting Soul force initiated any kind of change, Kyle decided to nurture every single path of both scales a little bit.

While the empty scale had only a few paths to develop, the other one had way over 100 hues of development.

This was quite a lot, but nurturing each of them a tiny bit didn't require that much energy.

With his Nurture ability activated for the whole time, Kyle began nourishing the same paths in both scales.

Afterward, as nothing happened in his first attempts to figure out something new, Kyle continued just to see something astonishing after more than 2 hours passed.

While nourishing a particular hue, something about the scale was changing. It was as if the energy within it was being used up, in order to manifest something.

Several seconds of the surrounding energy being absorbed passed just for a small projection to manifest in front of Kyle.

It was a map…a map had manifested right in front of him, and not only Kyle was able to see it.

Both Selene and Yasmine were also staring at the projection of a map that had manifested in front of them.

"That's the Shalivra valley…though an old version," Yasmine mumbled in confusion.

The details drawn on the map about the Shalivra valley were extremely high. It was quite astonishing if one were to be honest.

After all, in order to create such a detailed map, one had to travel through the entire Shalivra valley, more than once, or one required a perfect memory that could store each and every detail one noticed.

Taking a more in-depth look at the map, the minute details about the Anadra kingdom were also present.

"This map seems to have been regularly updated…" She just added, only for Kyle to search for the Sadorla forest.

There were no signs of the war between the three parties, which meant that the map was not live-updated.

However, that was not something he expected to find within the Ancestor's treasury, to begin with.

In fact, even the fact that there was a map astonished him quite a bit.

"There is a cross!" Selene suddenly said, while pointing at a specific point on the other side of the Shalivra valley.

It was quite a bit away from the Lahin kingdom but it was not on the complete opposite side, where a big black cross marked the map.

"A treasure map?" Kyle mumbled slightly dumbfounded.

There was no further information about what kind of treasure one could find, and neither was Kyle able to hear the voice of the mysterious woman once again.

As such, his plan had failed.

But that was not important right now because it looked like they found a treasure map.

"Should we go treasure hunting once we are done here?" Selene could only ask, not a tiny bit less dumbfounded as Kyle.

They didn't really expect to find a treasure map in the Ancestor's treasury.

That was why the three of them felt quite weird, only for Kyle to store both scales in his spatial ring.

"We can think about what we should do with the map once we are outside. For now, let us focus on the treasures of the pagoda's highest floor!"

Kyle was curious about the treasure map, but it was quite useless to focus on it right now.

Instead, Kyle believed that it was better for them to avert their attention to the numerous books and martial art techniques they could find on the highest floor.

Yasmine and Selene agreed and began to take a look around the shelves on the highest floor.

They were still interested in the treasure map, but without actually seeing the map, it was oddly difficult to remember the exact positioning of the cross.

'Are my memories blurred?' Both women wondered, not sure why their memories about the location of the cross on the map were so inaccurate.

They could only tell the rough direction within the Shalivra Valley.

However, considering that the Sadorla forest alone was already as large as Kyle's former home planet, it was quite difficult to excavate an entire part of the Shalivra Valley, if they were to be forced to dig deeper at the location of the crossed section.

It was possible, but certainly not for Yasmine, Selene, or Kyle.

They were way too weak and would take eons before finding the treasure without the exact coordinates.

Kyle also noticed that his memories had been altered a little bit, but that did not really bother him.

His focus had already averted to a specific manual, which Arashi tried to pull out of a small shelf.

The little Spirit Soul was rummaging through the corner of the room, only to make various noises out when Kyle approached him.

"I should take a look at this?... Well, what do you want to show me then?"
