He could sense the energies around him and was also able to perceive the soul force which his Spirit Soul had already converted!
It was an invigorating sensation and made him feel exhilarated.
Within just a few seconds of being able to sense it, Kyle thought that soul force was highly addictive.
A small part of him was dejected that he hadn't been able to cultivate sooner or how his past life had been a waste of time.
'Is that why everyone is cultivating so obsessively? Because of this addictive sensation?'
Kyle got up from the tree branch, trying to avoid the small bundle of clotted blood and dead cultivation veins that lay in front of him.
While walking over the branch, he could feel strength in his legs that hadn't been there before.
It was almost as if he was becoming stronger with each passing second.
He was yet to start cultivating and it was only Kyle's physique's innate acceptance of the surrounding energy that caused him to feel invigorated.
As his body had always been repulsive to all three types of energy in his past life, Kyle couldn't help but smile foolishly to be able to finally sense and use it.
His age might have surpassed 100 years in his past life, but none of his past life experiences had made him feel the joy he was feeling at the moment!
Today, he had taken his first step as a true cultivator!
He had finally fulfilled his wish and gained the ability to cultivate by absorbing surrounding energy!
Kyle was able to gather all three energies at once and now the three energies would be transformed into soul force by his Spirit Soul.
Thinking about his Spirit Soul, Kyle couldn't help but summon the Emerald Fox.
At that moment, a small, green rune that looked like a fox manifested in his palm as the Emerald Fox cub emerged from it.
Had Kyle not known that the Emerald Fox cub was a Spirit Soul, he wouldn't have been able to distinguish it from a newborn Emerald fox either!
However, his connection to the Spirit Soul was evident.
He had only heard about it in fairy tales, and Kyle thought that it was much stronger than he had imagined.
'I can sense that the Emerald fox is currently transforming mana into soul force! It's not possible for me to take a good look at the process..what a shame!'
The conversion process of the three cultivating energies into soul force required considerable time, and Kyle couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment.
But, that was only for a moment because he had forgotten that the Emerald Fox was not only an Infant Spirit Soul that had just hatched, but also that it was a Lesser Spirit Soul!!
Other than that, Kyle reminded himself that he had the Nurture ability that allowed him to nurture and strengthen his Spirit Soul further!
There might be more than that to his Nurture ability but Kyle had yet to figure out his ability's true capabilities and limitations!
As such, when the Emerald fox started to transform the surrounding energies into soul force, Kyle sensed something astonishing.
He didn't have to initiate the conversion process!
While this was delightful, he was curious to know why this was the case.
Furthermore, Kyle had yet to figure out how to annex the raw soul force expelled by the Emerald Fox after the transmutation process had been concluded.
The whole process took more than an hour, and instead of sitting idle, Kyle started experimenting with his newly hatched Spirit Soul.
First of all, he figured out that his Spirit Soul seemed to be unable to actively absorb the surrounding energies while residing inside his body.
This meant that it had to be summoned outside to allow it to absorb energy, which it could convert.
Converting energy into soul force was still possible inside his body, and Kyle was glad to sense this because it might help him in annexing the expelled soul force!
The surrounding energy that was being instinctively absorbed by his body was directly led to the center of his chest, where the Emerald Fox seemed to have established its base.
It was the same spot at which the Egg of the beginning had been located and Kyle assumed that this would be the center of everything related to his soul!
When his Spirit Soul returned inside his body, the energy that had been subconsciously absorbed would be devoured and transformed into soul force.
Kyle was not even sure if he was doing everything correctly or if he was making glaring errors in the cultivation process.
Nevertheless, he had to do something about the unannexed soul force that was slowly, but steadily expelled by the Emerald fox!
Trying to grasp the soul force that was already within his body, Kyle used his entire focus to move it with his sheer willpower, trying to annex it in order to cultivate with the use of it.
'Perceiving and controlling!' These were the two primary and basic steps he had to learn as a non Cultivator.
How could someone who had never sensed, let alone moved energy through his body, know what kind of process he had to initiate or follow?
Time passed slowly and it took him an entire day while trying to sense, direct and control the energy coursing through his body before he finally opened his emerald-colored eyes that glimmered with vigor.
"This is amazing!" He exclaimed as he stretched his body.
His body had never been as vigorous, and everything he felt at the moment was owing to the soul force swirling within his body.
Kyle had finally learned to absorb the soul force which his Spirit Soul had transmuted!
This strengthened his body and mind which allowed Kyle to understand the true might of a cultivator.
'Is that the reason why all Cultivators of the Yadras race felt that they were superior to the untalented citizens, similar to what I had been in my past life??'
The pace at which he could think and process things had increased by a minuscule degree, and even the most negligible parts of his body had been enhanced! It was as if a rusty machine had been oiled and serviced after an eternity.
Those were the perks of cultivating in the path of strength, Pryr, and the path of Wisdom, Spiral!
It might have been only a minuscule strengthening but Kyle couldn't be happier of his achievement that he was determined to keep increasing with every passing day.
The Emerald Fox was a beast-type Spirit Soul which meant that it was sentient.
As such, it was able to act, think and move around without Kyle!
One might think that this was an ordinary trait of living beings, but the hidden meaning behind this was grand!
After the Emerald Fox expelled the soul force generated from the energy it had absorbed before, it left Kyle's body at will to absorb even more energy.
It was an arduous cycle and required some attention, but it was better than nothing, for now!
Through the raw soul force inside his body, Kyle could learn how to annex it while his Spirit Soul would return with more energy that would convert into soul force again!
This cycle was repeated several times until Kyle felt that he could no longer strengthen his body with more soul force for the time being.
Not only did he get a painful headache but his body needed time to adjust itself to the numerous changes that had occurred during the last few days! He knew that rushing things would only harm him as well as his Spirit Soul.
Other than that, Kyle was eager to test out his Nurture ability on the Emerald fox!
His strength had increased by a small margin, but Kyle knew that he was still a weakling and in the origin stage!
Once his body was fully nurtured with soul force, it may change but Kyle knew that he had a long way to go before fulfilling his dreams.
