Chapter 781: The Bralfam Part 1

Eisen looked around the room with a broad smile plastered on his face. The sale of the wines went even better than he thought initially. It seemed as though the people here were surprisingly curious about what these wines were. Maybe it was because they simply didn't drink a lot of different wines here, at least that was the first idea that came up in the old man's mind.

At some point, a relatively large group gathered around the stall, and Eisen gave them some small samples. One of them being the Robingrowth wine, which quickly resulted in the skin of one of the group members turning purple. Since Eisen reassured them that everything was fine by taking a sip of it as well, laughter quickly broke out and the whole group bought some of this wine just to have some fun. Of course, this laughter followed by a group of bright purple people walking managed to attract others' attention pretty easily. Not everyone was as keen on dyeing themselves another color for a few hours, so they instead opted for some of the other wines.

Surprisingly, especially the mulled apple wine was pretty popular. Since it was mulled wine and had to be kept warm, Eisen had a large pot that he was keeping it in for now, so the smell was spreading pretty well, but the fact that it was deep black and opaque was something that he assumed would turn people off from trying this. However, after the first person gave it a try, others followed soon after.

It only took a few hours until they were nearly sold out. Eisen was actually about to walk around a bit and invite people to have some, but before he was able to do so, he glanced down the railings into the giants' pub down below, since it was seemingly attracting quite some attention right now as well. When he looked, he was quickly met with a wooden face.

"What's that?" Millicent asked a little confused. It was clear that it wasn't a normal giant, but Eisen was sure that nobody's first thought would be that it was a giant wooden golem.

"Our signal to close up shop," the old man pointed out, starting to place the rest of the wine he had into his storage space, quickly cleaning the stall that he had set up a few moments earlier.

Millicent looked at Eisen a bit nervously, and the barkeep that had allowed him to sell everything here was getting nervous, seeing that the man that bribed him with some platinum coins was trying to hurry away at the sight of that wooden. But soon, a slight buzzing sound filled the air, as a dense cloud of something was shooting up from below. Eisen rubbed the bridge of his nose with a slight sigh, as he watched the storm of bees enter the pub.

Immediately, everyone with any sort of battle instinct jumped up from their seats, readying their weapons, as the bees all shot right at Eisen, completely covering him from head to toe.

"E-Eisen!" Millicent exclaimed, stretching her hand forward in an attempt to help him out, but in the end deciding that she wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.

"Right, right, I missed you too, but it's only been a little more than a day. Does that really warrant this sort of entrance?" the old man asked with a slight laugh, as the bees slowly seemed to disappear, crawling underneath the oversized clothes of the young girl that Eisen was now carrying in his arms. The girl simply looked up at him and rapidly nodded her head. It didn't take long until two other children appeared, as if simply flying out of the space below, holding onto one another. They were older than the first, but still quite young.

"Eisen!" Caria exclaimed excitedly, jumping up at the old man's shoulder and holding herself up on him as if he was made to be climbed. The boy that was next to her also seemed happy to be here now, "How was the trip, you three?"

"Good, just a bit boring," Sal pointed out bluntly, as he waved his hand around to pull the threads he used to get himself and Caria up here back toward him. Before long, the hand of the wooden giant appeared at the railings, holding up a draconic man with scales that seemed as though they were made of glass.

He jumped up into the pub and approached Eisen with a nervous expression, "I apologize, grandfather. They said they could feel you around here, and I wasn't able to stop them before they acted."

"Don't worry about it, it just became a little noisy," the old man said, quickly looking at the crowd that had formed around them, "Sorry about that, you all. It's just my family here to pick me up."

Slowly, it seemed the curious people started to move back to their tables, even if they were still keeping their eyes on them the whole time. Kiron slowly looked around, glancing at Millicent. He could quickly tell that she wasn't a threat, "It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope my grandfather didn't cause you any trouble while he was here."

"Hahaha, trouble? What sort of trouble would I cause here?" Eisen asked with a loud laugh, and Kiron quickly glanced around the room, spotting the number of people with a purple hue to their skin, even though that most likely wasn't their normal skin color. He looked back at Eisen and didn't really know how to reply, but Millicent still seemed confused.

"Grandfather? But... you're a..." Millicent pointed out, looking Kiron up and down, "I'm a half-dragon, indeed."

"Your child... with a dragon..?"

"No actually, my child with a human," Eisen replied bluntly as he slowly let down Caria and Melissa onto the ground, properly greeting Sal with a rub through his hair. He would hug him as well, but Sal would probably be a bit uncomfortable with that in front of so many people.

Millicent wasn't able to properly follow along. The only thing she knew was that Eisen wasn't normal, by any means, "Who are you..?"

Eisen smiled at Millicent as he approached the railing, climbing onto the large wooden hand that was still held there by Askr, "I'll explain a bit more in a second, but to sum it up... I'm Eisen."

"Your name, but that's just..."

"No, Millicent," the old man replied, saying the rest in a voice loud enough for others to hear as well, "I'm Eisen."

---

Askr walked into the large building carved into one of the ravine-walls, and was guided through the halls by one of the guards. Before long, they climbed up a set of stairs that brought them high above the city, to a platform overseeing the whole city. It was a balcony built between the two walls of the ravine, and the one sitting on it was the Bralfam, the chieftain of the Stone Giant clan.

After placing the platform with Eisen and the others onto the ground, Eisen quickly increased his size to his maximum once more. He was wearing his suit, instead of his armor. Wearing his full armor simply didn't fit this sort of conversation perfectly all the time, but it was still much better than just showing up here in the clothes he wore during his work.

The old man stood in front of the Bralfam, who simply looked him up and down, "So you're the man claiming to be Eisen?" he asked with a doubtful expression. Eisen simply smiled down at him, even though he was a little bothered that he just kept sitting. Although, this situation was clearly meant to be a bit more casual than normal. After all, despite overlooking the city, this place wasn't anything like a throne room, or anything else of particular importance; it was just a balcony that the Bralfam was casually sitting on as he was reading.

"I'm not only claiming to be him, I am him," Eisen replied bluntly, and the Bralfam raised a brow curiously. He pushed the chair across from him away from the table, and motioned toward it, "Have a seat."

Quickly, Eisen obliged, tucking away his demonic wings since the back of the chair was rather high. The Bralfam looked at Eisen for a few moments, before closing his eyes, "Well, it matters not. Wether you truly are who you claim to be or not, you are still a king of another country, are you not? So tell me, why are you here?"
