The flame in the torches flickered abnormally. They did not hear the humanoid roar, the bridge did not jump up and down, and axes did not fly out at them.

Reon pulled down her gun. Kamiya and Hitori walked back to Reon who stood a few meters away from them. Kamiya rested his wand by his thigh and Hitori was confused about whether to put his katana back or his wand or carry both of them.

They both walked past the ice wall, "where is the last one?" Reon asked. Hitori noticed how hard she was breathing.

"Maybe behind you," he mocked her.

"Hah, not funny, Hitori-san," she frowned and shook her head.

"Definitely not funny," Hitori dropped his head and decided to put his katana into the scabbard and hold onto his wand.

"Is it going to spawn or not? We are low on time," Kamiya said. His words pulled Hitori back to reality, to the big picture.

He was so absorbed in fighting the monsters from this dungeon that he totally forgot why they were clearing this dungeon, he forgot about the event that comes after conquering this dungeon.

Hitori clenched his wand, 'I would not let that scrap picker mess with Kamiya ever again.' Hitori calmly lifted his head to take a glance at Kamiya, 'He alone is doing so much for his sister…'

Hitori's eyes examined Kamiya from head to toe while he chatted with Reon. He looked at Kamiya's glasses that sat perfectly on his eyes.

Hitori raised his head to look at Kamiya's black hair. But when Hitori raised his head, the whole bridge shook.

"R- Reon-san!" He shouted, "behind you!" Hitori quickly lifted his wand.

"'Oh it is not going to work, Hitori-san, please." Reon waved her hand in front of her, "the minotaur is spawned behind you, not me." she pointed at the never-ending bridge's path.

"Tch." Hitori lifted his wand up. Kamiya realized Hitori did not kid about the minotaur.

Kamiya jumped back and took a look at his side. There it was. A fifteen feet tall minotaur with sharp, pointed horns, and an orange color, beautifully designed war hammer.

It lifted the hammer that was pointed at the rear end and blunt at the front side.

"Reon-san, duck, right now!" even if Hitori managed to blow the minotaur's face, its hammer will blow away Reon's head.

"O- okay, now you are scaring me… both of you, you are overacting,"

"Take her." Hitori whispered to Kamiya, "Get her." Kamiya glanced, gulped, and jumped at Reon.

"W- w- what?!" her voice muffled when Kamiya grabbed her and rolled to the ground.

Kamiya stared right at the minotaur. He moved his wand and changed his target, "ice beam,"

The ice beam spread on the minotaur's arm and created a hole in its forearm.

But that did not stop the minotaur. It still raised its hammer, "Ice spikes!"

Blood dripped from the minotaur's arms. Three visible holes were created in its elbow, its forearm was barely hanging from the elbow.

Roar!

"Icicle spear." Hitori swung the wand down.

The icicle spear shattered into pieces when the minotaur swung its hammer. The spear was aimed for its arm but it blocked it.

A red pool of blood had formed near the minotaur's feet. It snorted at Hitori.

"Oh, crap…" Hitori jerked and turned around.

"Roar!" The ice wall on Hitori's right shattered into hundreds of ice pieces. The minotaur pulled its hammer back and stepped forward.

Hitori rushed back, "hurry!" Kamiya raised his hand to call him behind the ice wall.

"That wall would not do shit." Hitori bit his lip. He jumped and rolled on the ground to reach the wall more quicker.

Kamiya pulled him behind the wall, he lifted his wand, "Levitate!"

"Oh no, you do not." Hitori quickly raised and pulled Kamiya's hand down, "levitation is not the answer to everything. We are yet to face the boss, you can not-"

"I know." Kamiya released his wand, "let us move for now." Hitori glanced up at the minotaur.

"J- just get her." He pointed at Reon who sat beside Kamiya with blank expressions, "just what is wrong with you today?"

"Since we entered this floor," Kamiya corrected as he picked Reon up from the ground.

The minotaur's hammer went behind its head. Hitori stayed near the wall for a while before getting up with the wall. Hitori glanced to the left, there still were defense walls, he could see the durability of the walls, not the walls.

And on the right were crystal frozen ice walls that were guaranteed to shatter on impact.

Kamiya dropped Reon, "please stand and fight!" she nodded and got up, Kamiya stood straight and pointed his wand at the minotaur.

"Water bullets!" He aimed for its head, and Reon did the same. But her hands were trembling.

The minotaur's health declined by only a few points but Hitori took that disturbance to retreat while attacking with ice spikes (that acted the same as the ice bullets).

Everyone started taking small steps back till an ax was thrown at them. Hitori turned the wall to the left.

There were ice walls on the right side but there were no defense walls on the left side.

"Do not step back any further!" Kamiya alerted them, "the portion behind has not been cleared." True. Because Hitori did not find his walls stretching out any further.

Hitori swung the wall to his left and blocked the ax, Hitori watched as it fell down the dark valley with ice pieces.

Roar!

He lost his focus! The minotaur raised its hammer. Hitori pulled the wall from left to the front in a flash and blocked– he did not.

The wall shattered just as Hitori had expected. He pulled his katana and dispersed to the side.

Kamiya pushed Reon to the side and he fell to the other side of the bridge. Reon hit against the ice wall and rebounded, right at that moment, the minotaur smashed the ice wall behind her.

Reon stumbled, she pushed herself off quickly and lifted her gun while she ran to the other side. Reon was about to turn around when suddenly, the deep valley caught her attention.

She froze, "ah!" she let out a small shriek and stopped where she stood. Reon closed her eyes and spread her hands to balance her body weight.

"I- I am not scared. I am fine, I do not fear this, I am not scared." Reon started muttering something to herself. None of this was clear to either of them.

Reon stood right at the edge of the bridge, in front of her was nothing and below her was a deep valley that guaranteed death if fallen.

Her fear took over her finally. Her whole body trembled in fear, her legs wobbled and her hands shook. Her grip loosed. Reon started to take deep breaths.

"What are you doing…?" Kamiya looked at Reon on his right.

"I am fine. This is nothing. I am not scared." Reon muttered under her breath.

On the other hand, Hitori pulled out a thin ice shard from his stomach. He lost twenty-one health points. Thank god it was a thin shard.

Blood poured out, and Hitori gulped down his last healing potion. The minotaur roared.

Hitori threw the ice shard and the flask at the minotaur's face and rolled to the right side, inside the bridge.

"What is wrong with her?" Hitori asked.

Kamiya glanced between both, "she- she is scared of heights!" Kamiya replied back.

"Well, you know what to do," Hitori swung his katana in front of him, "Get. Her."

His katana and its hammer banged against each other. The metallic sound echoed through the bridge.

The bridge shook again due to the ripples created by the impact. Hitori rivaled the minotaur for a few seconds before he pulled his katana and aimed for the minotaur's legs.

"Leaf saber. Ice saber." The remaining ice formed back and covered his katana.

Hitori got a clean cut through the minotaur's leg.

It screamed and turned its hammer around. It raised the claw-like side of the hammer and pulled it to its back from the side.

Hitori did not get up totally, he lifted his toes a little and sliced through the minotaur's already pierced left arm.

It let out another roar. Its hammer started to fall down.

Hitori jumped this time, used the hammer to jump even further, then used fireblast to accelerate his jump.

Hitori took his katana behind his neck. The ice sparked, and Hitori reached above the minotaur.

"Argh!" He grunted. His katana made contact with the minotaur's neck but did not pass through.

Again. He had trouble cutting through his target with the use of [leaf saber] skill.

"Argh!" He grunted again, this time with much pressure and force, Hitori's katana passed through the minotaur's head.

A few pieces of ice flew in the air from Hitori's katana. The minotaur's red blood splashed on the stone bridge and some fell down the valley.

Hitori landed. The ice from his katana disappeared and so did the minotaur's blood from his katana.
