Kamiya coughed a few more times. Reon helped him- pulled him off the ground forcefully.
It was clear that Kamiya will not fight anymore. It would have been hard for Hitori if Reon had not woken up but she had.
"Would it be too much if I ask you to hold this wall, Kamiya?" Hitori turned around and the ice wall moved along with him.
Kamiya did not reply. He was still trying to drink the potion completely and not choke on it. He raised his hand and shook it.
"Thanks." on Kamiya's gesture, Hitori bent down to hand the wall down to Kamiya.
Kamiya rose from the ground and used both of his hands to push against the way. Slowly, he lifted the wall above his head.
"You alright?" Hitori seemed concerned but thankfully, Kamiya's strength stat was enough to let him hold the wall.
"Alright, Hitori-san, let us get back to work," Reon grunted. Her teeth clashed with each other in anger.
Hitori glanced at her and realized why she was so furious, "revenge…" he muttered.
Hitori nodded his head and scanned their surroundings, trying to come up with a plan perfect for their classes.
One tower was destroyed. Three remained. One was next beside the destroyed tower and two were on the other side of the room.
"Reon-san, I will take that tower," Hitori pointed at the left corner tower, "when I attack, you will attack that tower," Hitori pointed at the tower beside the destroyed tower.
"Got it…" she gritted her teeth tightly. Hitori seemed worried about her actions.
After all, anger is only one word away from Danger. And he had played enough games, won enough battles, lost more than enough battles to know that phrase is not just a saying.
The towers charged another series of bolts and calmed down for three seconds.
Kamiya worryingly looked up at the wall. The corners of the wall were half-cracked. The durability had decreased too.
"Ice Beam!" Hitori threw his hands at the tower.
He inflicted damage on the tower for two seconds. Reon, as ordered, joined him and fired at the tower next to Hitori's tower.
She did not manage to inflict much damage. Within three seconds, she only fired two bullets which were not even enchanted with mana.
Ryan could see the hitpoints of the tower, it had reached the yellow block. But the next second, not only the tower Hitori had aimed at but the one beside it, both attacked Hitori.
Hitori pulled his left hand and formed an ice shield to cover him, "Reon-san!" Hitori shouted.
But what else could Reon do? She does not have any magic to enhance her skills at the time of a crisis. She just has a gun in her hands and bullets in her gun.
So all she could do was a fire at the towers continuously, then reload her gun, then fire again. She ended up in that non-stop cycle.
Six seconds had passed since Hitori first attacked the tower. It was the seventh second when Hitori used his left hand.
"Ice spikes!" multiple pointed long sticks charged at the tower.
Eight seconds.
Reon shot another bullet. The bullet disappeared into the dark corner and the number eleven appeared.
Crash! spark
Hitori's spikes crashed with the tower and pierced the energy core directly. That devastated the tower with a bright blue short circuit in the mechanism.
"Kamiya!" Hitori called for the shelter.
Kamiya move quickly and brought the ice wall above Hitori's head but could not cover Reon.
Hitori watched Reon in surprise. She had taken a step forward and continued firing at the tower.
The three seconds were over, a blue light started emitting out of the tower.
"Oh crap, Reon-san!" Hitori raised his voice at the end.
The electric bolt blew all of Reon's bullets, Hitori rushed beside her and pointed his hand.
"Ice shield!" a rectangular crystal clear ice shield forward in front of Hitori.
He took a long jump forward, rolled on the ground, and rose up in front of Reon.
The bolt fell on the shield in front of Reon but she did not stop firing at the tower.
"Reon-san, move, right now!" the three seconds passed, and Kamiya and Hitori shouted at the same time.
Kamiya would move but Reon would move too. Finally, at the fourth second, another bolt came from the tower.
Hitori raised the shield high and covered Reon's head, he curled his head under the shield.
But Reon was persistent. She ducked and fired at the tower after reloading her gun.
Hitori looked around in confusion. He felt the bolt's impact on the shield but it stopped midway.
Crash, bang!
Another explosion and Reon took down the third tower.
Both Hitori and Kamiya stared at her in amazement. Damn, was she stubborn and persistent?
Although it took her twice as much as the time it would have cost Hitori, she took down the tower.
"That was… amazing, Reon–" she moved before Hitori could complete.
Reon ran to the other side of the floor without any care.
None of them tried to stop her. They both watched as she ran to the other corner and aimed at the last tower.
"Oh no," they both shook their heads.
Too late. The tower threw a bolt at her, she dodged it but this time, the tower did not wait three seconds before it threw another bolt at her.
"Crap." Hitori took off.
Kamiya turned around, he stared at Reon and could not hold himself back anymore.
Kamiya jerked his arms up and threw the wall, "Get the wall!"
"Huh?" Kamiya was close to Reon, true. And Hitori was close to the wall.
He discarded his ice spear spell and raised his hands to grab the wall instead.
Kamiya ran towards her. His hand reached the side of his waist and pulled out his wand from the leather cover.
Suddenly, Hitori took a turn, "levitate!" Kamiya lifted his wand and turned around with the momentum.
Hitori watched as the wall went up without touching his hands. Then he looked at Kamiya.
In another fraction of a second, Kamiya pulled the whole wall from behind.
As if he threw a stone, Kamiya swung his hand and bent forward due to the follow-through.
Kamiya threw the wall with a hard grunt.
The tower let out another bolt but this time, the bolt crashed into an ice wall.
Reon's bullet hit the wall too.
The wall banged against the dark corner of the ceiling.
And with another short circuit explosion, Kamiya took down the last tower.
