Under the dark muddy water, Kamiya watched as Reon's body sank deeper and deeper with every passing second.

Kamiya's heart started racing once again. He took a few steps back and grabbed his robe at the same time.

Although it would not matter if his robe gets wet because he would not feel it if he tries to swim with the wet robe on, the resistance against the water will increase and he will have to struggle moving forward.

He first took off the right side then the left and threw his robe on the ground. With a jumpstart, Kamiya ran towards the pit and jumped inside.

It was an awkward jump so it cost him a few health points but that was not the main concern for him.

Kamiya pulled his wand and held it between his teeth. It was hard to see in the dark water but it was easy to spot a five and a half feet long body.

Kamiya kicked off a few claws and navigated towards Reon. Although he could not see clearly he got Reon's faint view.

She was unconscious once again. Her body moved deeper into the pit, almost about to touch the bottom.

Kamiya rushed, he stretched his arm to reach for Reon's tummy. He then firmly grabbed her tummy and started to head to the surface.

He had to pass through a few claws that floated in his way. Kamiya kicked a few, pushed a few, and managed to make it to the surface.

But a new problem arose, how to get Reon on the other side of the pit?

Kamiya grabbed her tummy and tried to push her but it was beyond his strength, "a little heavy, are not we?" he grunted.

Kamiya grabbed his wand out of his mouth with one hand and pointed the way down, "Bakuhatsu!" water filled his mouth but he managed to mutter the spell.

Boom!

Psychic energy reached the bottom of the pit, the recoil pushed both of them out of the water.

Kamiya's chant was not clear but sufficient for the spell to work, and the water's resistance held them down.

At first, Kamiya thought the blast was not enough but they both came out from the water.

But soon, Kamiya saw the water ripples spreading around, he could feel the vibrations rising in the water.

With a boost, they sprung a few feet high in the air before they dropped down to the ground.

Kamiya and Reon rolled to the ground, Kamiya quickly rose up from the ground and coughed a few times.

He shook his wand, "t- this feels so real." he muttered. He ignored the pain and moved to Reon.

Reon laid on the ground with no life in her, her health had reached the red part and declined further.

Kamiya lifted his hand with the wand, "Kami no Megumi: Iyashi." he twirled his wand in his hand and cast the healing spell on Reon.

When her health reached the yellow block, Kamiya fell to the ground. But he still kept up his blue light of god's blessing and continued to heal Reon till her health reached the green block.

His hand came down to the ground, he sat on his knees and looked down at the ground, "this exhaustion… Why does it feel so real?" Kamiya demanded.

He opened his stats screen to check his remaining mana. Out of a total of fifteen thousand mana he was left with only four thousand mana and his stamina had touched the bottom.

Cough, cough.

On the dark floor, Kamiya heard a female's cough. He was assured that Reon had woken up and was safe now so he decided to take a little rest.

Kamiya did not remember how much time had passed but he could see his vision clearing up.

"Kamiya, are you okay?" he felt a slight jolt against his back, "hey, Kamiya, Kamiya, look at me!" She pulled him off the ground.

Kamiya's eyes met with a pair of dark blue eyes. Reon longed over him. Her purple hair was scattered all over, her T-shirt was torn from parts, and her face was a mess.

"T- thank you," Kamiya grabbed her forearm to rise from the ground and sit without her help.

She nodded her head continuously, "thanks, Kamiya," Kamiya looked at her with water dripping down his hair, and from his eyes.

He looked away after staring at her for a few seconds, "thanks." he repeated and nodded his head.

His clothes stuck to his body and made him feel uncomfortable but the same was with Reon. Water dripped from different parts of their bodies, but there was no spell to dry them.

Reon looked away too but then she stuttered and asked, "by the way, Kamiya," she hesitated but brought her eyes back to Kamiya, "where is that bastard?"

Kamiya turned his eyes to Reon, "yeah… bastard." He stole a glance and nodded in agreement, "where is he?"

Green trees, plants, and rock walls surrounded Hitori as he stared at the dungeon's entrance with a twitching eye.

A face sculpted out of cement, its features were marked dark and bold by the creator.

It had thick hair that reached its ear, strange red color vines fell down from the head that was covered with more moss and red vines.

It was a masculine face with strong-looking jaws. There were teeth up and down the entrance, the person's mouth was wide open and Hitori could see the long tongue tunnel.

With the thin eyes, its face looked kind of cunning but the wide-opened mouth made the person look funny, at least to Hitori.

Hitori tried to ignore the hideous face and jumped down the long tunnel.

Kamiya helped Reon get off the ground, "let us advance," Kamiya told her.

"Are you sure?" Kamiya looked around him.

Reon had drunk a potion to restore her health and gave Kamiya a potion to max his health.

"We can not wait for Hitori all day long, we have to move…" Kamiya said and turned to Reon, "either head back or move forward,"

Reon looked mindlessly at Kamiya before she nodded in agreement, "and this dungeon… it will be an awesome defense for our territory,"

They both walked ahead and entered the second floor. A wooden door rested in front of them.

"Do you still believe that, Kamiya?" Before he could open the door, Reon asked her.

"Believe what?" He pulled his wand out.

"That… Hitori-san will, tch, Hitori will come back?" Kamiya did not reply. He went quiet. He had a kind of lingering doubt in his heart.

Kamiya moved forward and grabbed the doorknob, "does it matter?"

"Y- yeah? N- no…" she stuttered and fell into deep thought.

It was true that Hitori acted as a powerful asset because of his experience, and skills.

But when she thought about it, it did not matter whether Hitori stays or leaves. What would happen at most? They would have to fight with each other with their property at stake.

To her, it seemed like Kamiya was an intelligent guy himself. Although he is not as good as Hitori at combat, he knows how to use his brain, he might be considered one of those strategists.

"And if he decides to betray us," that was a strong word, but Kamiya continued, "then we both will form a duo to take revenge." Kamiya casually lifted his shoulder and clicked open the second floor's first room.
