Neither Hitori nor Reon realized what they had walked into. It was an open mouth, they barely saved their head from hitting the stoned person's teeth.

As soon as they stepped into its mouth, they slid on his tongue. They fell on their butt on the long tongue and slid down into its throat exactly how they slid on the slide in the park with their parents.

They both fell into the deep and dark throat of whoever the stoned person was. Reon let out a scream but soon calmed down when her face hit against a hard but slight soft object.

Reon lifted her hands off Hitori's back and then pushed her head away. Hitori was sitting on the dusty ground, bet his cloak was ruined. Their free slide had stopped.

"Get up… Reon-san," Hitori muttered. He could feel her weight on his whole back, it was not much but it was enough for someone as slim as Hitori to feel squashed under the pressure.

"S-s- sorry, Hitori-san," she quickly got up and patted her clothes clean. Hitori did the same, they both looked around them while patting their clothes.

"And we are in…?"

"I saw and heard a message about entering a dungeon…" Hitori tried to remember what exactly he heard because Reon started shouting and his eyes moved from the text message, "it belongs to some… Emperor, I do not know," Hitori shrugged, "let us just hope it does not belong to the Emperor's Scrap Picker,"

"Why? Ah~! Yeah, yeah, got it." Hitori had texted her everything she needed to know about Kuzu the scrap picker, yesterday when she had logged out.

In the dark, Hitori's flame was dancing in his hands. Reon took advantage and walked further ahead of Hitori to lead the duo.

"T- thanks for– aah!!" her sweet voice turned into a shrill scream when suddenly, Hitori saw her vanish right in front of his eyes.

"R- Reon-san?" he was shocked to find her nowhere.

"Here!" she shouted, "ouch… here, down here!" he heard her voice coming from below…

Hitori did not move, he used his flame to take a look at his feet. A twenty feet wide pit stood right at his toes. And there Reon was, sitting ten to fifteen feet deep in the pit.

"Uh…" Hitori looked around, "w- what to do now?" He saw that there was no way to pull a five feet six inches woman out from a fifteen feet deep pit.

"Hitori…san, I think, you should move on,"

"I- I can not do it without you, I need support. We are in a dungeon that is ten levels higher than mine."

"You do not need to conquer the dungeon alone," she told him, "I will find my way out, you just go ahead. This is just a cliche trap, it must have a way to get out…" Reon looked on her side and landed a hard kick.

Hitori carefully looked around her. Her feet were covered in a pile of dark dead leaves, they must have been used in order to hide the pitfall from the visitors. A nice but cliche trap. Can not complain cause people fall even into the cliche traps.

"If you say so," Hitori leaned back, "just hurry up." he requested.

"Yep. Clear half of the dungeon for me!" she mocking shouted and laughed.

Hitori ignored her. His next challenge was to walk past the pit. There was no way he could jump twenty feet long and there was no space left to walk around it.

Hitori looked around, he saw that the cliff of the pit had small space left on the sides, enough for anyone to walk on it.

Just as the cliffs they show in the movies, Hitori had to tiptoe on the side of a broken cliff, about to fall.

Hitori took a deep breath, walked up to the cliff, and touched the rock wall. Hitori slowly placed his right foot on the cliff's end first, then slid to his right.

Dark grey walls surrounded Hitori, he did not know if the walls were cold or not but he could feel the cold walls around him. The roof above his head was not higher than ten feet, it was a little low for Hitori compared to the roof of his house.

When he had walked a quarter of the thin, edge of the cliff, his heart started racing. He could feel the tension forming around him. He felt the temperature dropping down, the thin edge becoming thinner and thinner.

Everything started to seem impossible. The tension rose, he felt like giving up, Hitori had lost hope when suddenly a voice broke in.

"You can do it, Hitori…san, keep it up!" Reon cheered for him, but it was only disturbing him even more. Her voice, her constant cheering broke Hitori's concentration.

"Come on!" she shouted. Hitori's balance disturbed, he quickly pushed back against the wall and moved to the right, the cliff where he was standing broke and fell.

"Oh-" She took a step back to dodge the falling piece of rock. She looked down at the rock, then lifted her eyes at Hitori, "s- sorry, I guess?" she bit her lower lip.

Hitori placed the right hand on his chest and let out a sigh of relief, "please… I have got this," he opened his eyes and looked down, "please." he repeated.

Reon felt an unmeasurable amount of guilt. If he had fallen with the broken cliff, it would have been Reon to blame to get both of them stuck in the pit.

She put her head down and said nothing. Hitori calmly took one step, then another, then slid a little. This way, he walked through the cliff and finally crossed the pit.

"Ahh." He jumped from the corner of the cliff and landed on the plain ground. Hitori lifted his hand, "Fire flare," a flare of orange flame went up in the sky and clashed with the roof.

Hitori saw a bullet hitting the roof. Reon got his signal, she decided to reciprocate it.

Hitori smiled, turned around, and advanced through the dungeon, leaving Reon behind, "be safe." he muttered under his breath.

Hitori spotted a dark green door only a few meters away from the pit. He was surprised to know that the entrance to the next floor had been found so easily.

Hitori grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door slightly open. As soon as the door was slightly open, Hitori heard squeaking noises from the other side.

His right eye twitched, "I…" he muttered, "...know whose voice this is." he groaned in a low voice.

Hitori pulled both of his hands by his side.
