He was not willing to, at first, but now he found himself sitting behind the sofa, looking at the triangle formation Tengoku's men had formed in the front yard.

Hitori was against the plan. Opening the shield and letting the bullets strike the house was dangerous and insane. But if Kyoryu was saying it with such confidence, Hitori was forced to believe Kyoryu had it planned.

He wondered if Reon was aware of the stunt they were pulling. Was that worrying her? If she was here, she would have stood against that insane plan. But she was up with Eya, participating in this crazy plan.

Then he heard the gun cock. Hitori rose his head above the sofa and had just taken a glimpse when Kakashi pulled him down.

"Do not show them your head, idiot. They will blow it before you even see the bullet coming."

Hitori remembered one time when he was in a battle where he was fighting a guild alone. He had overpowered spells and weapons, so he never had to hide. Later that fight, he partnered up with his friend Daichi.

If he had to rank his most fierce battle from the last decade, he would argue over this solo versus guild battle. Although he was overpowered, the guild had men– many men and useless monsters to sacrifice– just like Tengoku.

This time, he peeked his head from the side of the sofa. He saw the men lined up with their guns aimed at the house, and Tengoku was missing– nothing new there.

Then he wondered how exactly were they going to attack the men, and how long was a table going to hold up against high-caliber bullets.

"What is the plan?" he asked. "Don't tell me we are going to sit here and—"

"Of course not," Kakashi groaned, in an annoyed tone.

"Then what?" Hitori asked, staring at Kakashi, then taking a peek at Akira.

Finally, Kyo turned around and started, "So here is what is going to happen."

Hitori turned a little out of the sofa's cover to look at Kyo as he explained the plan. Akira was staring at Kyo too, but Kakashi was listening without changing his position.

"When we are ready, Eya will lift the shield– what I mean by that is, she will contract the shield and provide defense only for us."

"Only for us? What do you mean?" Akira interrupted. "She… I don't get this…"

Kyo glanced at him. "You will understand when the time comes, just stick to the plan."

"Continue then." Hitori moved his right knee forward and pushed his left back. He was out of the sofa's protection now.

"She will leave a slot for us to fire our best spells. And by best spells I mean, the mass-destruction spells."

Hitori frowned. "Why mass destruction? Find Tengoku and kill him– just him."

"It is not that easy, son. Even if we take Tengoku down, his men will not stop. So we need to take his men down, then kill him."

Hitori nodded. "And what spells are you talking about?"

"That is for later. Listen to the plan first."

Hitori lifted his hand in a gesture to continue.

"This will be our only chance to wipe a majority of his men. So we need a high-level spell. But keep one thing in your mind, you can not exhaust yourself. So cast a spell only if you can you are capable of it." He paused. "Are you listening, Kakashi?"

Hitori glanced over and saw Kakashi waving his hand over the coffee table.

"Here are the spells we are going to use. I will go with the spell I have used over years and am still comfortable using at this age: Finger of Death."

Hitori moved back. "I do not even want to know what that spell does."

"It is a spell of necromancers. I have used it multiple times during the war, but it gets ugly. I tried to forget how to use it, but it is as if the spell is encrypted in my mana. Every time I have to clear a mass of enemies, this spell is always on my lips."

Hitori did not bother about how many men it would kill or if Kyo will be alright after using the spell, but he bothered about one thing. "How ugly does it gets?"

Kyo raised his eyes at Hitori, stared for a moment, then moved to the spell Kakashi was going to use. Hitori was used to people ignoring him since the battle started, so he let it go.

"Kakashi, you will use Cloudkill. You are exhausted, so it will suit you," Kyo said.

Kakashi did not reply, not even a wave of a hand or a hum, he stayed still like a dead man.

"Akira, just burn everything you can."

Akira nodded without thinking– just like Tengoku's men followed his orders without thinking for once.

"Then Hitori." He turned to Hitori and said, "you still have some mana to spare. How about you use Storm of Vengeance?"

"What does it do?"

"Although this can only be used by a religious man, you will cast it just fine. This is a ten-minute spell. It changes the effect every minute."

"Alright, now I need to know what it is."

"A churning storm cloud forms centered on a point you can see and spread to a radius of 360 feet, but I want you to cast a cloud with a radius of only fifty feet. Would save a lot of mana."

"So does the person under the stormy clouds get struck by lightning?"

Kyo nodded. "The next minute, a not-too-acidic rain will fall from the sky. Then you will have the chance to strike one lightning bolt on anyone– Tengoku, that is."

"Of my choice? This spell seems difficult to use– why me?"

"It is not difficult at all. Of course, it has a lot of effects– but you do not cause them– you just summon the clouds."

"The rest happens on its own. Okay, what is next?"

"Hailstones. A little less damage, but useful. Then from the fifth minute onwards, gusts and freezing rain will assail the enemies under the rain. Then from the third minute, strong wind of thirty miles per hour will disperse fog and mist to blind the men."

"Would not it blind us too?" Akira said, he was curious.

Kyo nodded. "It will. But this time, we will open fire at them."
