The guard changed paths and turned to the girl on his right. "Oh, shit. Did he kill her?"

Hitori jumped around and took off running. He felt like running on clouds as if the air was carrying him. He found it so easy to run.

So he took off. The hallway got narrowed down to a single door at the end. He fired an explosions spell from a three-meter distance. The lock burst open and he jumped outside the dormitory.

He concentrated all of his mana and formed the image of the front gate. "Come on, come on, do it!" It did not.

He continued running till he reached the portal. It teleported him to the front gate where danger awaited him. The news had reached Atama, although he told them to let go, his man increased the security near the front gate.

Atama knew Hitori must have a reason for beating the shit out of the bully, but he could not take his side as the headmaster, so he had to play along. He was standing on the tower with two wizards around him.

His men said such behavior will not be tolerated and that he should be punished for hurting a student. Tenn guards at the gate, four wizards on the towers with Atama and Atama's man in each tower.

So now the sixteen wizards were looking for a teenage wizard who just beat the shit out of his junior. Atama decided if he does not show up after another five minutes, he will declare that Hiori has escaped.

Unfortunately for Hitori, the castle had no back gates, so the only way to get in and out of the castle was the front gate. The arena was in one corner, outside the castle, so it was a standalone building.

"Do you not think we should close the portals?"

"Nah," Atama said, although he would have if it was some other criminal, "let him come right into our hands."

His men agreed. Atama gulped and looked at the setting sun. He had to let Hitori pass, because if he gets trapped with the wizards, oh it will pull him from progressing with his plan. And no one would like that delay.

Well, Hitori rolled out of the portal that led to the front gate. The wizards were already alert, they pointed their wands when he rolled out. "Wizards!" shouted Atama's man, "Take him out!"

Hitori raised his eyes and saw the formation. Then he saw colorful beams coming at him. He had no intentions of going back, so he rolled to the side and took cover behind a shop that was not tall enough to save him for long.

The beams struck the little shop and wrecked its roof. Hitori knew it might hit him anytime. He closed his eyes and curled into a ball. He imagined the road outside the castle, thinking it should work now.

Atama wondered what Hitori was doing. He wanted to make sure Hitori leaves, but how? The fifteen wizards were getting aggressive with him. Should he put all of them to sleep? But what explanation will he give them then?

"Oh, Hitori, do something on your own." He turned around to look at the other side of the castle. He watched the long, brown roads, then he closed his eyes.

"Stop the firing!" the wizard shouted, "The ground wizards, charge at him."

Atama opened his eyes wide. "I never said that was allowed…" He was about to turn and shout at the guards to stop when he caught a glimpse of someone.

He turned back to the roads and saw Hitori running downhill. He covered his mouth and staggered back. "Impossible!" he gasped, "How the hell did he do it?!"

Unknown to him, he hit his thigh against the corner of the tower. He knew he need to do something to distract them from Hitori. Maybe fire a spell at the shop and blow it.

He raised his arm, looked away from Hitori, and turned. His foot scrapped against the tower's border and he broke his thumb's nail. He was wearing flip-flops due to the summer heat.

He shrieked and lost his balance while trying to grab his thumb. Hitori heard the shriek, he recognized the voice but did not stop to check on him.

Atama hit his thigh on the border again and this time, he found himself swinging back. The tower's hood slid and the evening sky came into his view before he rolled and landed on two guards.

Atama broke his back, he was sure of that, and due to him, two of his men were hurt, too. Thankfully, his head was safe. He rose and saw the wizards in the towers panicking and making chaos.

But ignoring them, he went for his wand and turned to blow the shop when he heard: "Someone get a healer! Hey, abort the mission, abort! We have an emergency, Atama-sense is hurt! And two of our guards too."

He looked at the wizards climbing out of the wizard tower, the two guards leaving their post near the front gate just to check on him. He sighed and rested his wand on the ground. His job was done– one way or another.

Hitori continued, but he was tired because teleporting took a lot of his mana, and he was about to hit his stamina's limit, too. So he ran without stopping till he was meters away from the castle.

Although he wanted to go directly to the Vr-cade, he knew better than anyone what Kakashi might do if he goes directly to the Vr-cade.

The visit to his house was necessary since it did not expose that he was not staying in the house and somewhere else. And no one wanted that.

His next stop was his house– even if it was for an hour– till he is good enough to get back to the Vr-cade, expecting trouble on the way.

He walked the rest of the way instead of taking the horse wagon– he wanted to save money.
