He formed the image of the cafeteria in his mind. He thought this new first-year would not be able to teleport directly to the courtyard, so Hitori chose the cafeteria's entry gate.

He grabbed the nerd's hand and when he was waiting for the nerd's reply, he was already standing in the courtyard without even supplying his mana to the nerd. That left Hitori speechless and stunned.

He has great potential, was all that he could think of. It was the nerd behind it all along. If Hitori would have tried to teleport, the nerd would have canceled Hitori's spell with his mana and taken him to the courtyard anyway.

From near the tree in the middle, Mono waved to Hitori. "Where have you been? I thought you were not coming!"

Hitori, with a wide mouth, glanced at Mono, then at the other students, and finally at the nerd whose hand he was still holding.

"How did you do that…?" Hitori asked.

The nerd dropped his head and the smile disappeared. "Did what?"

The whispers and gossip of the guys around fell on his ears. "What the heck is he doing with that nerd?"

"Ew, I would die rather than hang with someone so gloomy," a girl said.

"What are you saying, they both are gloomy!" They laughed.

The nerd shook his hand out of Hitori's grip and gave him a last glance before going to the end of the group. Hitori wanted to stop him and ask his name, but he could not.

Mono put a hand on Hitori's shoulder and shook him. "Are we going or not?"

Hitori snapped out of the daze. He remembered he was going to tour with Mono's group, and he nodded.

"Alright. Get your group ready, I will have a chat with mine," Mono said and went to the students who waiting for him.

Hitori took a breath and shook his head as he walked to the students laughing behind him. "We are pairing up with those guys for this tour."

Hitori was about to continue when he saw a girl who had raised her hand. He gestured for her to continue. "I do not want to hang out with—"

"I do not care if anyone of you has a problem with that." He looked away from the girl. "If you do anything to those guys, then you must know I am in a bad mood today."

"Break up? Or an argument with your nerdy wife?" someone said.

Hitori ignored him, but to make sure the nerd was alright, he gave him a glance. The nerd was looking down at the group and playing with the pebbles. He did not care.

Hitori decided to say, "Yeah, a sort of an argument with someone. Now let us get moving." Hitori turned to Mono. "Are you ready?"

Mono raised his thumb and Hitori nodded. Mono and his group left the courtyard first and waited for Hitori's group, when Hitori's group arrived, they finally begin their tour.

Mono explained on the way about today's agenda. He was loud enough for Hitori and his group to hear him. Even the nerd at the end could hear him.

"We will give you a tour around the school building today. You will see your classrooms today. You will be amazed by the Wizard's Lab, and I bet you will be thrilled to see the school's band."

They went to the classrooms. The people from Kamiya's group were pleased to see their classrooms, they were amazed when they saw the wizard's lab, and they definitely were thrilled when they saw the band room.

They climbed the stairs to the next destination when suddenly, someone shouted from the back of the line-up. Hitori sprung his head to the back and started searching for the nerd.

Because the voice seemed familiar and he heard some banging. And as he had suspected, he could not see the nerd anywhere.

"Little bastards!" Hitori grunted. He pushed a girl to make way for him. He then shoved another boy out of the way. "Move aside!" he shouted.

Mono and his group paused, they turned and tried to take a look at the commotion. Mono told them to stay where they were and he went to take a look at the situation of Hitori's group.

Hitori saw the bulky bully he had met yesterday and he had mounted the nerd. Hitori did not know what was happening, but he could figure out a little by their arguments.

"What the fuck did you say?"

"I said—"

The bully punched the nerd across the face. "You better shut up or I will make sure you never talk again."

Hitori stopped near the staircase. So it was the nerd and the bully who fell down the stairs because of something silly or stupid.

Hitori felt anger rushing through his veins. "That bastard…" he grunted and reached for his wand.

The nerd turned his head and looked at Hitori, the bully followed his gaze. Hitori rose his wand and fired a spell.

The bully jumped away from the nerd and dodged the spell.

Mono came to a stop when he heard that sound. "Hitori…" He rushed down the stairs.

Hitori was already at the bottom of the stairs, at the landing, and was about to cast another spell at the bully who was ready to fight.

Mono shook his head and rushed down the stairs. "Wait! No, no, no!" he shouted.

But Hitori raised his wand and sordid the bully. They exchanged blows of spells as Mono tried.

"Hey! Get away! Hitori, no!"

Hitori would have killed him, but he wanted the bully to feel the pain their victim always felt. He raised his wand and fired another spell.

Mono jumped off the last stair and threw his hands over Hitori as he took over him. He fell to the ground, then rolled to hit the wall.

The nerd got off the ground, the other students were already terrified of Hitori. THe bully went to the corner, then found his way to the stairs.

Mono tried to pin Hitori on the landing, but he lacked strength, so he held his arms and tried to stop him.

"Listen, listen, you need to calm down. Please, what good will injuring him bring you? His parents will sue you and you will not get out for years. Just think of the worst: what if Onogi attacks when you are gone?!"

Hitori stopped struggling. Reon flashed in front of his eyes, followed by Eya, and Akemi sitting on the bed.

"Kamiya's death would go in vain," Mono whispered, "so just stop. I request you."

Hitori's arms now hung from Mono's forearms. His feet was on the floor, but his arms were still locked. He muttered something.

"Eh?"

"Let me go…"

"Oh, yeah." Mono released his grip. He curled on the landing and wailed in pain. "Damn, my arms! Ah!"

Hitori adjusted his coat, kept his wand at the back, then gave the nerd a last glance. He was alright, just a punch mark under his eye, he will be fine.

Hitori started walking down the stairs, increased his pace, and disappeared on the way.
