On the way out, the naked people shouted and informed the neighbors and the people in the front yard to leave the house. A murder has happened inside, they should call the guarding wizards and empty the neighborhood.

Only a few neighbors were present for the funeral, the rest were off to another city for summer vacation. So the block was empty if we leave the scared members who ran out naked and the people at the funeral.

One of them sent a signal. He raised his wand and fired a flare that went in the sky and turned to– WE NEED HELP! SEND THE GUARDS!

Another person went to the main gate and closed it. He unlocked the padlock, then locked the gate. He made sure it was locked by pulling the padlock once.

"Stay away. No one goes near. We heard a killing curse, no one leaves the house. And everybody, go back to your houses and lock the doors!"

The ten neighbors left for their houses and did as they were told. The rest of the ten guild members went to someone's house to get clothes while the female relatives sat against the house's wall.

Kaki was crying her eyes out. First her daughter, then her son, and now her husband. After Akemi's body with marks all over arrived at the hospital, she felt she had just lost her daughter.

When Jigoku asked her to run away, she got scared of that idea and her husband. And when her husband beat the shit out of both of her kids, she went mad. She lost it and became a devastated mother.

But when Jigoku's death was announced, she lost every little hope. He never visited her, but at least she slept at night knowing he was alive and was with his elder sister.

Now she could not sleep, she could not speak, and she could not live. She lost everything she was ever living for.

Although she spent the rest of the months with her toxic husband who took out the guild's frustration on her, how could she live if he died? How could she live with the fact that from her family of four, only she lives?

Atama and Senso were watching this from the rooftop. They exchanged glances. "We stay put. We will wait till they come out," Senso said. Atama agreed.

Hitori grabbed Father's arm with the intention of breaking it. Since he could not break Father's arm with his grip, Hitori pinned his arm under his knee.

He got on his knees after pulling Father down the stairs, then with all of his strength and speed, Hitori pinned Father on the ground.

Father was shocked, petrified with fear, or whatever it was that prevented him from protesting against Hitori. He kept staring as Hitori climbed on his chest and raised his fist.

Hitori felt the dead man beside him staring at him before his head slid down and the man went sliding down the stairs. Hitori shifted his focus on Father.

He looked into Father's brown eyes, he saw Kamiya in him again, then raised his fist. "This, for insulting Akemi-san," Hitori said. "Freeze-Dry!"

He punched Father in the face, he spattered blood on the side. He released ice that climbed Father's face and covered it in an instant.

He raised his hand again. "Kamiya, this is for you."

Hitori opened his fist and smacked his face, then clenched. His face muscles contracted from the sides.

Hitori tightened his grip, lifted his hand along with Father's head, and chanted: "Bakuhatsu." He pushed his face into the landing.

The ice cracked and pierced the wall on the side. One spike even entered Hitori's hand, but he could not notice it in the midst of pain.

Air ripples erupted from his face. Blood spattered from all sides on impact and the wood sprang up as his head went into the landing.

Eya covered her eyes and looked the other way as it happened. Kakashi picked Eya's wand from the floor, then picked her.

Hitori removed his hand. He saw the mess he had created. Father's nose was blown into pieces. His eyes were pushed into the sockets, he made Father swallow some of his teeth, and he had burst his lips.

Hitori was not grossed by it at all. He grabbed Father's chest and pulled him off the floor. Hitori's grip loosened and Father's body leaned to the floor.

But Hitori grabbed his collar and swung him on the stair. On the way, before his body fell on the staircase, he swung his hand and landed a punch on Hitori's face.

He fell and cracked his forehead against the stair's side.

The punch forced Hitori to lose balance. He hit his head against the staircase's railing and collapsed to the last stair.

Eya got off the ground, Kakashi turned to call Hitori when he saw a wand in Father's hand, he had picked the wand on the way. He left Eya and opened his mouth, but stopped.

Hitori pushed himself off the ground. Father raised the wand and turned around, then lowered his wand.

Hitori jumped forward and picked up the gun from the stair. He aimed at Father at the same time he pulled the trigger.

A bullet went past Father's obliques and hit the stair. It created another hole in the staircase.

Hitori lifted the gun in frustration. "Oh, hell with this!" And threw it at Father's head.

"Koro—" Father's curse was interrupted when the gun smacked him on the forehead and magnified the pain.

Hitori's foot slipped on the ice that had turned to water as he climbed the stairs. First, he snatched the wand off Father's hand and put it in the side of his pant. Then he grabbed his neck and pushed him into the stair.

Kakashi gulped. "Hey, we need to leave. You will kill him if you go any further."

Hitori did not reply. He was wearing an angry frown as he raised his right hand and turned it into a fist.

If Father was not missing his lips and his face was not a mess of blood and ice, Hitori would have seen his grin clearly, but he could not.

He set his fist on fire. Kakashi's face dropped and so did Eya's. She tugged Kakashi's jacket and said, "Stop him!"

Kakashi could not. He gulped and said, "Even I was scared to hit someone when I was around his age."

Hitori stared into Father's damaged eyes. He still saw the absence of fear, but the anger was absent, too.

"And this…" he said, "for cursing me."

All Father last remembered before going into a coma was a blazing flame of fire going into his eyes.
