The red blade glowed. Tengoku raised his eyes, raised his arm, and took cover behind a shield that erupted from his forearm out of nowhere.
Hitori's katana clashed against Tengoku's barrier, it was not even a clash, the blade slid through the barrier as if he was cutting butter.
Tengoku's eyes popped in shock. He could not keep up with the blade's speed, he had never seen such a blade before, a blade that could cut through his barrier.
Hidari jumped and raised his gun.
Hitori's shoulder gave him a hard time when he tried to swing his wand at Tengoku.
Tengoku knew he had to, but he froze and hence lost his left-hand fingers. Blood sprayed on the white snow, disturbing its beauty.
Hidari was fired from his position. Hitori swung his wand and created a barrier that blocked the bullets.
Then suddenly, he disappeared from his place. He stretched his wand and touched Tengoku's neck from behind.
He made a mistake. He stopped, cause Tengoku did not even after his fingers were served.
He turned his arm and landed a thick blow in Hitori's jaw– cracking them open– they dangled loosely from the end.
"Never stop in a duel, brat, you would have learned a lot…" he grabbed Hitori's arm, then cracked it, "if you had the chance to live, that is."
Hitori dropped the katana, it clung from his wrist, but that was bare of any use. He pulled his wand from behind and said at the same time:
"Kor—"
His jaw came loose. He could not complete the curse. And Tengoku acted fast after that, he grabbed Hitori's right hand and kneed him in the elbow.
Hitori shouted and dropped the wand. "You are dead." Tengoku looked at Hidari. "Fill his legs with bullets," he said.
Senso stood straight when he heard a gunshot and a scream. "Jiyara!" he shouted.
"The boys separated! They have separated!"
"Tell me their positions!"
"One is near the partition, another is past the partition– is going on the other side. I swear these fucking scientists do not bother clearing the forest! Teleport!"
"Tell me who is where?"
"Kamiya Jigoku is past the partition. Saibai Hitori is still near the partition. What are you planning?'
"Well, I am planning to take Hitori with me. I would need someone to fight dinos on the other side."
"If they do not eat Kamiya, that is. I mean, just go!"
Senso teleported. The wall of the partition was now visible. The fence on the other side and the walls on his side.
"Guide me," he said.
"I would, but…" Jiyara gulped, "we have got a situation here."
"OK, what?" Senso asked, looking around for Hitori. He drew his katana, it was blazing with fire.
"K-Kamiya's… uh… Kamiya's mana is… is fading… no… it has faded. I-I can not tell, no, wait, the dot disappeared! I-I can not see him on the map!"
"Maybe your radar acting up again—?"
"N-no!" Senso heard Jiyara's chair screech. "No, no!" he shouted. "The radar can catch the mana of a person with the adventurer's card for up to three miles!"
"Guide me to Hitori."
"You should look for this—"
"Hitori!" Senso shouted.
Tengoku raised his head, Hidari stopped before he could pull the trigger and fill Hitori's thighs with bullets. They both turned their heads.
Hitori would have smiled if his jaw was not broken and blood was not coming from the tentacle's wounds.
Senso hit his leg against the detached tentacle that tried to suck his leg into it. Senso chopped the tentacle and set it on fire as he continued on his way.
"Hitori! Hitori!" he shouted.
Tengok and Hidari exchanged glances. "Tell the fucking wizard to open the dungeon's mouth," he said, looking at Hidari.
Hidari lowered his gun and reached the ground. "Open the dungeon's mouth! Open the dungeon's mouth!"
Hitori raised his right hand, his forearm was hanging from his elbow. He could not control his forearm and when he moved his arm, it hurt like hell.
"Fireball," he muttered.
Nothing happened. He felt the mana reach his elbow and stop there. He frowned, then closed his eyes.
"What happened?" Tengoku asked, wrapping a cloth around his fingers.
"I, I do not know, sir, he is not opening!" Hidari said.
'Let the cultivated mana flow through me…' Hitori thought.

"I would fight no battle if I am not alive. Yes!"

It was a powerful feeling, the same feeling you would get after having sex, it was a dopamine hit.
Hitori jerked his arm, his forearm jumped upwards– killing him from inside– he said, "Flamethrower!"
Tengok jumped back and so did Hidari when a blazing blast of flame swallowed a withered tree.
Senso raised his head. He heard the chant, it was Hitori, he was alive. The flamethrower was not a spell used against his defense, it was a spell used to gain attention and ask for help.
Senso extinguished the fire on his katana and ran in the direction fire was spreading, jumping from one tree to another.
Kamiya realized he had to hurry. Kuzu is not dumb. "Shinigami no Noroi!" he shouted.
Kuzu spun in the water and jerked his arm and back to throw Kamiya off him. Kamiya fell into the mud again. But he said it, he said it before Kuzu could punch him.
Kuzu was not planning on punching, he pushed away from Kamiya. He looked at Onogi and said, "Join the wires!"
Onogi threw the first wire, aimed at the copper, and threw the second wire from his hand.
Electricity sparked from the wires when they connected.
"Shi-Ne!" Kamiya ejected a brown beam from the wand. When he chanted the spell, the wand fell from his mouth and a scream left his mouth.
Electricity sparked from near Onogi's feet, it charged through the water left in the puddle. Kamiya tried to bite on the wire but it was impossible, the copper wire had tangled around his gums.
The electricity surged at such an incredible speed that it took Kamiya by surprise. His limbs jerked in the air, flowing all over the ground. He was like an alive fish being shallow fried.
Smoke erupted just the next second. His hair was burning and so was his flesh. Kamiya fell into the pond, he dipped his head into the water. The electricity surged through the water, to his head, and killed him in an instant.
His head was the part that was dipped in the water, the electricity caught on that, it reached his brain– just a jolt, and his body stopped twitching all over.
Onogi had to break the connection after Kamiya's death, but when he stepped forward, he heard another series of screams and grunts.
Kuzu was on the ground, his fist was tearing the cloth around his chest. His legs swept the mud and water below him.
His hand reached his neck from his chest. He squeezed his neck, too. If he was wearing a piece of cloth around his neck, he would have torn it.
