Volume 11, Chapter 13: Angel? Demon?

Both in our world from before and in the world now, Fallen Angels don’t have a good reputation. This isn’t because they have an ugly appearance or some other objective reason but because of rumors spread by their enemies, so their reputation definitely will not improve.

However, I also don’t like Fallen Angels either. As for why……the first blood I had when I came into this world was snatched away by a Fallen Angel.

That’s right, the Fallen Angel that worked for Black Ice. Although I don’t remember her name, I clearly remember that she killed me.

But calling out to Angels or Fallen Angels shouldn’t summon them. Generally they should be copies or illusions. Even so their abilities should be much stronger than the average human.

Well, that power would be absolute from the perspective of the students at school.

“So that’s the reason……were you able to figure out why?”

“We weren’t able to figure out the reason, so we didn’t know what to do. But since the light magic in her body keeps getting stronger and stronger, I think she should stop practicing and go to school to learn. It might improve her mood or something.”

“You’re really sending us a time bomb. What happens if she summons a Fallen Angel? Can she control it?”

“That’s……”

Taylor laughed.

“That depends on who she summons. It wouldn’t be a laughing matter if she summons an illusion with a consciousness slipped into it.”

“Hey now, you’re just giving us a ticking bomb. What if she suddenly summons a Fallen Angel? Can she control it?”

“That really shouldn’t be a problem.”

His face relaxed a little.

“As long as Sally isn’t aware of people in the area trying to attack her, the angel will not attack. That’s what we concluded from our experiments……”

“Experiment……”

You’ve been performing a lot of inhumane experiments again? Well, that’s the Church’s typical style.

It also explains why they put Sally into the school. Normally it’s to relieve boredom, but it actually is to let her hide in the college. Although the ability to summon Fallen Angels is very powerful, it’s best to hide something like that in the Imperial College’s church. First of all, normal people don’t go to the school’s church, they’d go to their local parish. Secondly, it’s already known in the school that there people from the Church that go to the school’s church. Anyone who disturbed them would die.

Nobody wants to face off with such a strong organization after all.

Well, I’ve only just learned what was going on. Nothing has been solved yet. Since it’s like this, I can only attack from the front.

“Ok, I understand the what’s going on. The situation is a bit unique right now. There are some class activities that require class members, but there aren’t too many people in our class so I was hoping that Sally could participate. What’s more, it seems there isn’t any solution with the Church. Maybe going straight in would solve it?”

“That’s……”

Taylor looked at George, who shrugged.

“Fine then……”

Taylor turned to me.

“As this is inconveniencing the teacher, please wait for a moment. I will bring the keys to the church. But please be careful. If you meet a Fallen Angel don’t force the situation…… but since you can use such strong light magic it should be easy for you to stop it, right?”

You so cleanly pushed the problem on to me all so I could settle your problem for free.

Hey, who said that I was getting wages from the school? There’s nothing I can do, I can only keep working.

Soon we received the keys from Taylor. Since we didn’t have any reason to stay, we gave a simple goodbye and flew in the airship back to the college.

Of course that was before George started going on about the benefits of joining the Church. I think I’ve gotten the whole thing memorized. Even if I didn’t join, I think I could be a missionary.

Of course, I’m not going to do that.

——————————LOADING MAP: COLLEGE————————————

~

Soon, we had returned to the College. Things were going smoother than I expected. I thought that there might be a hair-raising battle or mysterious theft quest, but if we quickly get to our goal then there’s no need to worry about anything else.

Once I got off the plane, I immediately went to the Church.

Now that I’ve found a solution, it’s time to get to work.

“Big brother!”

Oyado, who had been in charge of watching over the church, saw me coming and instantly jumped over.

“I followed what you said. I’ve watched the church, nobody has entered and nobody has left.”

“Look, this place is really strange.”

I smiled.

“If nobody is going in or out, then how are the getting the necessities to live?”

“Well……that’s true.”

Oyado nodded.

“However, they should be alone inside this church.”

I looked and only saw Sally’s name, nobody else.

Maybe the other person hides really well, or maybe their name hasn’t been classified?

Either way, I have to go in and look.

I went up to the door, took out the key **the key hole.

We entered the church as soon as the door opened. As soon as I entered, I smelled something strange.

“Mmm~ Oyado, don’t you think that this smell is familiar? But it really doesn’t fit this place.”

“Un, it’s the smell of the Abyss.”

Without a doubt, this is the same kind of sulfur and peculiar scent that the Abyss had.

“It really isn’t easy to make the inside of a church smell like this. Isn’t that right, Sally?”

I looked up to the church’s podium. A girl with long black hair in a nun’s habit was lying on it, holding a black book in her hand.

……

“So it turned out to be teacher Lin ~ Excuse me for not greeting you~”

Suddenly, she turned to look at us and her body floated floated up.

Suddenly a pair of pitch black wings spread out from. They were jet-black and had a strange luster.

Yes, just like a Fallen Angel.

What was even more terrifying was, in the next instant, a pair of Devil’s and Angel’s wings, each of them carrying their own luster. The feeling that each of them gave off wasn’t fake either.

Oh my god……What am I looking at……

“Well, teacher, you and your sister are the first to come see me in person. The reason you’ve come to see me……well, can you show me your real body? I’m talking about the Undead Holy Angel~”

“The inside of this church is actually your space?”

I smiled bitterly. With a wave the church doors closed and my wings spread out.

“Well……I believe there is plenty of time left in the day, so we can talk for a bit. Your wings, where did they come from?”

“Of course, teacher, I’m also interested in the dragon’s wings.”

I was shocked. Quickly, I retracted my wings.

“Don’t be so nervous~ It’s like I said.”

Sally looked at me with her purple eyes.

“There’s a lot of time left in the day.”
