Volume 10, Chapter 36: Helping Each Other

I feel that Oyado learned during this time that the fastest way to do this is for to have me be truthful. In less than half a minute, we planned out the conversation and walked into the hotel.

“Eh?”

Just as we entered, I saw someone familiar sitting on a couch in the hotel’s living room. It was the guy that Yerbil had hit for talking too much.

Sitting there and reading a book, he was supposed to be on guard.

“Aren’t you the young student from the Imperial College that I met today? What is it? Do you need to meet Lady Yerbil?”

“Yep. It was Falan who sent us. She said that a ghost had brought important information from the Abyss.”

We took out the crystal that had caught the ghost.

“Ghost!?”

When he heard what I said, he put on a serious expression, got off the couch and walked over to us.

He took the crystal and looked at us.

“What......what was the information?”

“It was information about Fir.”

“Fir! Then it’s no wonder that Ms. Falan would......Well, I’ll pass it on at once.”

After he finished, he quickly took the crystal upstairs. Less than a minute later there was a rush of footsteps back down.

“What did the ghost say?”

Yerbil anxiously asked before they had even come to a stop.

After they had stopped I spoke.

“Falan said that the ghost had come from the Abyss, and that there seemed to be some sort of change in the Abyss. She found me and so that I could ask the ghost what it knew.”

“Wait a minute, you?”

Yerbil interrupted me and stared.

“You......can whisper to the dead?”

“Pretty much......”

“That’s surprising......there’s no way the average person can relate to your group.”

That statement is clearly reversed. How can people in our group relate to the average person?

Of course, I knew that it was nonsense, so I kept quiet.

“Well, tell us what the ghost said about Fir.”

So I repeated to Yerbil what I had said to Falan. As she listened her face became paler and she sighed helplessly.

“Incredible......Fir actually turned into an Undead Holy Angel? I didn’t think that after 666 years that this sort of miraculous thing would happen again......”

“Lady Yerbil, this is an extraordinarily serious issue. We should go back to the Church and report it immediately!”

One of the Saints next to her said.

“That’s right. If someone can become an Undead Holy Angel and travel from the Human World to the Abyss, then the door of some passage must have opened. He may take the opportunity to return to the Human World with his forces and then......”

“No!”

Yerbil interrupted him.

“Fir would never do that sort of thing......of course, if it is still Fir. I remember that the holy scriptures said that the man who became an Undead Holy Angel had his soul change completely.......and I don’t know what Fir is doing now.”

Well, it’s the worst situation that you can imagine. I don’t know who is controlling my body after all. In other words, the soul has completely changed just like you said.

Ah, this is really bad. Maybe I can spar with myself, hehehe......

It’s not the time to laugh!

While I want to flip over the table right now, I also want to remain calm. I’m a civilized person after all.

“Cough cough. That’s basically why we need to report it, so......”

“Big sister Yerbil, what are you going to do? If you are going to the Abyss then please take us with you!”

“Yeah. That guy Fir, we are definitely going to beat him up and bring him back!”

Oyado and Aliyah quickly said.

That’s right. this story is part of our plan. We’re not members of the Church, so this is the only way we can force our way into their team.

“That’s......You know, the Abyss isn’t a safe place.”

“Yes......”

Oyado said in a quiet voice, then she continued on.

“Then we can only ask Pryn and Princess Snow to find a way to reopen the passage in the Empire.”

“What!”

Yerbil, who had been calm, raised her voice several decibels.

“Are you insane?! Don’t you know what will happen if you open that passage?! And those two......no, depending on your relationship they might open it for you.......Fuck! Well, don’t act too rashly, I’ll explain what you want to the Pope, and......did you want to come to?”

She clearly looked at me when saying that.

“If you could......”

“I knew you people wouldn’t be able to relax......Falan is skilled too. She was actually able to find someone who could whisper to the dead. There’s only one of them in hundreds of thousands of people......All right, you guys go and rest, we will contact headquarters. And Felicia, since you are the one with the ability to whisper, you should consider joining the Church. It can be dangerous if your ability is known to others. You can say no, of course, but I don’t know what they will do if you refuse.”

“That’s......I’ll confer with my family.”

“......That’s right, you only have your sister......Rest assured that joining the church won’t be bad for you and your sister will be able to live a better life. Think about it. Excuse me.”

Then she beckoned to several Saints and went back upstairs.

“By the way Oyado, Lanya is in the Witt Empire now and has something for you but wasn’t able to find you, so you should go over there.”

Halfway up, Yerbil turned around.

“Also......Sorry. If the way I was talking was a bit excessive, but, that was after everything that happened. Well, goodnight everyone.”

Then she finally went upstairs.

When we finally heard the sound of the upstairs door closing we looked at each other and sighed.

“Big sister, was my acting good?”

Oyado looked at me and asked.

“Yep yep. When you said you wanted to go to the Ice Empire and open the passage there Yerbil’s face went completely white.......Well, while I feel sorry for her, we don’t have any other way. Right?”

“I hope she doesn’t mind. Anyways, she will find out your identity when the time comes so she will be able to understand why we needed to say that.”

Aliyah said from the side.

“I hope so. Well, I can only wait for news, and I need to give an explanation to Lilith. Well, everything that’s happened recently has almost given her a nervous breakdown, right?”

“No one can keep up with you after all, big sister.”

“I actually think it’s quite ordinary.”

I said laughing.

“Well, we should go see Lanya before we go home since they said she was looking for you. Maybe it’s some good equipment.”

“Well, that’s true. But......where is big sister Lanya now?”

“Isn’t that very simple?”

I took out the headset, turned it to the reserved channel and gave it to Oyado.

“I don’t know Lanya now, so go on.”

“Un.”

Oyado said, taking the headset.

“Hello......”

Just as soon as it had connected, before Oyado could finish greeting, Lanya shouted out.

“Hey! It’s Fir! Fir’s the only one who knows about this channel!”

“No......I’m Oyado......”

Oyado was so scared by her behavior that her voice came out as a whisper.

“Ohh, it’s actually Oyado. Hahaha, I thought that it would be Fir, hahaha.”

She sounds as spirited as she was a moment ago......she sure has a lot of energy.

“By the way, I have something for you, so could you swing by my shop? I’m at 122 East Commercial st. We’re open 23 hours so hurry on over.”

“O......ok.”

“I’ll wait for you~~”

With that, she hung up.

“Well, let’s go.”

I laughed.

“We should warn her that it isn’t good to stay up so late.”
