Chapter 666 Savages
Sakura closed her eyes and pretty much panicked, but then she felt something warm dripped on her face.
"Haru?"
Her eyes widened when she saw the thing that had happened in front of her.
"You alright?" Haru asked.
"Y - Your arm!" Sakura saw that Haru's arm was bleeding.
"It's alright, it's just a small wound."
Haru didn't expect when Savage stabbed right into the bus, its pitcher grazed into his arm. He could avoid it, but he didn't do it since he wanted to test the toughness of his body.
But he really regretted it since his left arm was wounded because of it. Even though his body had transformed into the body of Arthur Curry, it could have been wounded by something sharp.
'Or I haven't gotten used to this body…'
Haru thought about that possibility, but he noticed Sakura's expression which showed a worried expression toward him. He felt a bit regretful, but at the same time, he knew that he had raised a Flag on this girl.
If he dodged that attack before then Sakura's feeling wouldn't be as strong as now.
"If you're alright then can you help the other's passenger outside?" Haru asked.
"What are you going to do? You're wounded!" Sakura said while crying since she knew that that wound was because of her.
"I have called the reinforcement, and they'll come soon, but Savage won't wait for them." Haru patted Sakura's head and said, "I need to slay it." He didn't need to speak anymore and went out to face Savage.
"OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
Savage roared loudly when it saw Haru who had just come out from the bus.
Sakura was very worried about Haru and tried to stop him, but it was futile. She could only wait for him while also doing what he had told her.
Claire who had received an alarm from Haru knew that he was in a dangerous situation.
"Have we pinpointed Kasugano Haruka's current location?"
"We have," Chris answered. "We've requested assistance from any Slayers close by."
"He'll just need to hold it off until the reinforcements arrive," Liddy said.
Claire didn't show a worried expression since she knew that Haru would be able to handle this situation.
"Hundred On!"
Haru was holding his dagger with his right arm.
"OOOOOOOO!!!!
Savage opened its pincer to cut down Haru, but suddenly its pincher was slashed in half.
*Slash!*
Haru had cut down one of its arms, but then suddenly he saw that Savage's pincer started to regenerate.
"Regenerator, huh?"
The Regenerator or Self-Repair Function Savage is a species of savage, which appears to be similar to normal ones, but this species is able to regenerate their limbs without limit unless their cores are destroyed.
But in front of him, Savage was just a big insect and it was very easy to stomp it.
Haru jumped right into the top of Savage's head and stomped it hard. He gathered his Sense Energy into the sole of his shoes, creating huge pressure on Savage.
*BAAAAM!!*
Savage was being stomped on the ground by Haru.
Haru struck down his dagger into the head of Savage.
Savage knew that it was in a pretty bad situation and needed to do something about it. It raised both of its pincers since the one which was cut by Haru had regenerated.
But Haru didn't give it a chance since his dagger also struck down Savage's core.
*Crack!*
The light on Savage's body turned dim and it lifelessly fell to the ground.
Haru avoided the yellow blood which sputtered from Savage's body while also starting to feel worried when he thought that he had been stabbed by Savage before. He was wondering what would happen if the virus from Savage entered his body. He was also wondering whether he would turn into Variants because of his wound.
The passengers of the bus sighed in relief when they saw he had slain Savage easily.
"HARU!!!!!"
Sakura ran toward him then jumped.
Haru unconsciously caught her in his arms, but he flinched when this girl hugged his wounded arm.
"You idiot! What are you going to do if you die! If you die then how can you marry me!" Sakura shouted in grievance while hugging him tightly.
"Sakura, my arm is wounded, you know…" Haru said while trying to hold the pain.
*!!!!*
Sakura only remembered it and saw blood dripped from his arm. "W - What should we do about this?" She wasn't sure and worried that he would die from bleeding.
Haru shredded his shirt and said, "Tie it down on my wound."
"Yes!" Sakura took the fabric and tied it to Haru.
"If you can, please hurry since another one is coming," Haru said.
"OOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Another Savage suddenly came from behind a cliff showing hostility toward them. It looked at them then didn't' hesitate to open its mouth to shoot out a beam through its mouth.
Sakura unconsciously moved in front of him and said, "I'll do the defense! Haru, you'll defeat this Savage!"
'This silly girl…'
Haru was speechless and patted her head. "You don't need to worry." He hugged her with his wounded arm and said, "I'm your bodyguard and it's my job to protect you."
Sakura who was suddenly hugged saw a beam which was moving toward them, but it was stopped by a barrier. "Barrier?" She looked at Haru, threw the beam away, then aimed his dagger.
It was only for a moment, but Sakura saw a blinding light that moved very fast then cut down Savage in half without mercy.
"Strong…"
Sakura was shocked. She knew that Haru was strong, but she didn't expect to be this strong.
"It's done." Haru looked around and felt that someone had come in their direction.
"Is it done?" Sakura asked and suddenly felt relaxed with him. She felt that as long as he was with her she would feel pretty safe from anything.
"Oh, he is pretty strong! Nee-chan! Nakri!"
Sakura heard those voices then turned. She saw three small figures with black and yellow Variable Suit which were holding various weapons.
"Kids?"
Sakura didn't understand how those three kids suddenly appeared here, but from their weapons, she could tell that they were coming with bad intentions.
