Chapter 329 328: Battling Five Not Three

The skyline, once dominated by imposing factories and warehouses, now bore scars of a destructive clash between supernatural forces. Gaping holes marred the skeletal remains of industrial complexes, where towering chimneys now stood as twisted sentinels, their structural integrity compromised by the unforgiving onslaught.

The ground, once solid and unyielding beneath the weight of machinery, bore the testimony of the relentless forces at play. Pools of molten metal glowed eerily, a testament to the intense heat that had consumed the factories. Abandoned conveyor belts, now twisted and contorted, lay strewn across the scorched earth like skeletal remains of a forgotten era.

The clash between flame and shadow had left its mark on every surface, with the remnants of magical battles etched into the very fabric of the environment. Charred bones of industrial equipment protruded from the rubble, resembling the remains of ancient beasts that had once dominated this industrial landscape.

Amidst the wreckage, remnants of the various battles between the two opposing forces, Corey, his teammates, and Zephyr and his allies now lay scattered. The once-predictable alleyways and catwalks were now transformed into chaotic mazes of destruction. Broken pipes spewed remnants of volatile substances, merging with the ashen residue of arcane energies.

Silhouetted against the twilight sky, the skeletal frame of a colossal crane leaned precariously, its support beams shattered like matchsticks. The eerie glow of lingering flames danced upon the jagged edges of shattered windows, casting distorted shadows that seemed to whisper tales of the supernatural clash that had transpired.

Inside a building that was a recipient of the battle between Fatty Black Bonez, Triple X, Melissa, and Kane, a loud voice filled with pain and anger echoed.

"Argh Fuck!"

Kane cursed with gritted teeth as he held onto the dark blade of a scythe that protruded from his chest.

Cough!

"Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck!"

Kane coughed out a mouthful of blood, and he cursed repeatedly with his eyes flashing with a light of madness.

The shadow beneath him rippled, and Kane turned his head. He gritted his teeth as he saw the most shameless and cowardly individual he had ever faced.

"Are you proud of yourself coward? You only know how to attack from the shadows like the coward you are. Sneaky bastards like you truly disgust me."

Ptui

"A fucking weak coward. May you die like the dog and coward that you are."

Kane spat at Triple X while speaking with an extremely vicious and disgusted tone.

Kane did not care if his words made his killer angry or filled with rage since he himself was filled with rage.

Out of the three individuals he battled, only Triple X truly vexed him and annoyed him. Triple X always hid in the shadows and launched timely, dangerous sneak attacks at him.

If possible, he wanted to kill Triple X first out of the three.

A sneaky bastard was the most annoying type of opponent to face.

The manner in which Triple X fought was not the only thing that vexed him. Triple X's scythe also pissed him off.

Kane did not know what sort of abominable power was in the scythe.

The instant the scythe pierced him, Kane felt the scythe absorb all his energies with so much ferocity that it actually caused him to feel extreme fear.

It felt like the scythe was devouring every single thing about him, and he knew that in a minute or two at most. He'd be a dead man.

Even if he survived, he would not live long since he could sense that his lifespan was reduced by a large amount for every second that passed.

'How did the heir of the House of Divine get so many abnormalities to join him? This is bad news for the House of Hellfire.'

'I hope they don't underestimate these guys just because of their tiers.'

Kane thought as he gazed at the Triple X, who had an emotionless expression.

Thud

Thud

The sounds of heavy footsteps resounded in Kane's ears, and he looked at the source. His eyes widened when he saw a nine-

foot giant wearing full body armor and a helmet.

"What the?"

Kane blinked in shock as he wondered where in the world the nine-foot giant came from.

Although he could sense that the giant was a tier 3, he felt a large amount of danger from the giant.

"Behead him."

Triple X's emotionless voice flowed into Kane's ears, and to Kane's disbelief, he saw the giant walk to the greatsword near him.

As Kane watched the nine-foot armored giant, everything finally clicked in his mind.

He finally knew where the greatsword had come from.

He knew who had thrown the greatsword with such strength that it threw him away.

"So it's all this giant's fault."

Kane murmured, then he chuckled.

"So I wasn't battling three people but five." A loud laugh escaped Kane's lips, and he grinned at Triple X.

"I'll welcome you all in hell with the flames of hell."

Swoosh!

The sound of metal slicing through the air flowed into Kane's ears for a split second, then his vision spun before it went dark.

Triple X stared at the headless corpse of Kane with emotionless eyes for a few seconds, and then he looked at his back.

"Is the bastard finally dead?"

Fatty Black Bonez's voice echoed in the destroyed building as he walked toward Triple X.

Triple X nodded, and Fatty Black Bonez released a soft sigh of relief.

"Thank the bone god. That bastard was actually stronger than we expected."

Fatty Black Bonez said as he walked toward Kane's head, and with a sound of dissatisfaction, he kicked it.

"It's not that he was strong. He didn't underestimate us like all the other tier 4s we've faced."

A female voice flowed into the ears of Triple X and Fatty Black Bonez, and they turned to the source.

"You were not burnt alive."

Fatty Black Bonez said with a soft chuckle, and Melissa raised her brows.

"Did you want me to be burnt alive?"

Melissa questioned, and Fatty Black Bonez waved his hands.

"Not at all."

Melissa smiled, and just as she smiled, she sensed a presence, and she turned to her back.

Fatty Black Bonez and Triple X also looked in the same direction, and Fatty Black Bonez's eyes shined.

"You're not dead Smile Reaper."
