Chapter 293 292: Butler & Gardener

"What is your name kid?"

Corey questioned with a slight twitch of his eye.

His healing injuries were quiet ticklish.

The young boy did not reply, but instead, his gaze was wholeheartedly fixed on the healing hole of Corey.

"How is your injury healing?"

"You're just a tier 2, so you should not have the required constitution to heal an injury of that level."

"You also did not take a rare plant or healing medicine, and there's no healer around here."

"So how is your injury healing on its own?"

When Corey heard the boy's words, he raised his brows slightly in amusement due to boy's behavior.

Corey did not possess contempt or disdain at the boy for his ignorance, since all that the boy said was true.

There was no such thing as a healing potion, pill, elixir, or paste in planet New Earth.

Whenever an individual sustained an injury or injuries, the natural way of healing his or her injuries was through the constitution of the individual.

The constitution of an individual could naturally heal the injuries of the individual.

But, obviously, not all injuries could be healed even if the individual possessed a high constitution.

Injuries caused by mystic energy could not be naturally cured by the constitution of beings below tier 4 due to their incompatibility with mystic energy.

Unless the being possessed a unique physique.

For example, a Paragon's Physique.

Whether, Demi-Paragon Physique or True Paragon Physique.

The other known methods which could be used to heal injuries were: healing magic by healers, medicinal essence from a medicinal herb, and natural treasures that could heal.

Never has there been any other known method of healing one's injuries, and it was also another reason why healers, especially powerful healers were so favored, revered and sought after.

Even by top tier organizations outside of the universe.

Corey did not know this, but obtaining a skill crystal that contained the skill, Regeneration', was extremely rare.

In fact, it was almost unheard of.

The only reason Corey was able to get the skill crystal was because he killed a Quasi-Supreme Naga which had the bloodline of a Supreme, though it was extremely diluted.

Due to him being extremely weak and low leveled, Corey was able to get the Low Regeneration skill crystal from the corpse of the Quasi-Supreme Naga.

'I know the energy bullet contained mystic energy.'

The young boy thought with wide eyes as he gazed at the hole in Corey's chest with curiosity and confusion.

'And from the size of his injury, his constitution, no matter how high, should not be able to heal itself.'

'Unless he wished for regenerative abilities.'

The young boy frowned.

'But didn't he wish for spatial abilities?'

'I mean, he did teleport around the room a lot.'

The frown on the young boy's face deepened.

A second later, his eyes widened when he saw something he had mysteriously overlooked.

'His heart is still in one piece!'

The boy almost screamed and his eye balls almost popped out as he gazed at the dark grey heart of the enigmatic young man before him.

His mind was in disarray as he could not comprehend any of the things he had seen regarding Corey.

A cough resounded in his ears, bringing him back to reality.

He looked at Corey who had a light smile.

"I asked you a question… Your name."

Corey said, and the young boy was dazed for a second, then he replied:

"Kiefer. My name is Kiefer."

The smile on Corey's face widened slightly as he nodded.

"Well, Kiefer. I hope you know I didn't kill your father just to save you out of the goodness of my heart?"

Corey said with slightly narrowed eyes.

"First of all, he's not my father. Never call that man my father… please."

Kiefer said with an indifferent tone, then he looked at the head of his… the leader of the Dread Vipers.

Corey raised a brow with his smile widening to a considerable degree.

'He harbors no feelings for his father. That's good. He passed the test.'

"Second, I'm not a fool. We're in the Underworld. I've lived in the Underworld ever since I could remember. Nobody does anything out of the goodness of their hearts in the Underworld."

Kiefer said, and Corey was pleased.

He nodded his head.

"I know about your special physique which gives you the ability to locate rare herbs and also possess knowledge about the herbs you see."

Corey said and he saw a change in Kiefer's expression.

Corey noticed fear and apprehension.

"Why did you suddenly become afraid? Were you not so confident before?"

Corey was curious.

Kiefer had never expressed a tinge of fear from the time Corey had noticed him.

The only expression Kiefer had was always one of exhaustion.

But after he spoke about his unique physique, Kiefer suddenly became fearful.

Why wouldn't Corey be curious?

"How did you know I gain knowledge about the herbs I see? I've never told anyone about that ability, it has always been a secret of mine."

Kiefer said, and Corey had an expression of realization.

"Well, I guess it's no longer a secret of yours."

Corey shrugged with a grin, and Kiefer suddenly became fearful.

What else did Corey know about him?

Knowing that Corey could possibly possess unknown information about him or know some or all of his secrets scared the young Kiefer.

Ever since Kiefer encountered Corey, it has been surprises upon surprises upon surprises.

What other surprise would Corey show Kiefer?

Kiefer was slightly curious and also apprehensive.

"Anyway, I saved you because you'll be my butler and gardener in the future."

"..."

"Huh?"

Kiefer's mind went blank when he heard Corey's words.

He wasn't going to be a slave that would be abused and tortured?

"Don't get me wrong. You're not going to be a free man. You're going to be my butler until I say otherwise."

"So, don't think you're going to be a free man."

Kiefer's mind could not comprehend what Corey was saying.

He wasn't going to be a slave?

He wasn't going to be a free man?

He was going to be his butler and… gardener?

The powerful and mysterious man wanted him, a fourteen year old to be his butler and gardener?

He had no knowledge of buttling!

Gardening? Maybe?

But buttling?

Absolutely none!

"Do I have a choice?"

Kiefer asked despite knowing Corey's expected answer.

"It wasn't a question."

Corey said with an indifferent tone and Kiefer released a tired sigh.

"At least it should be better than my previous life."

A grin crept up the face of Corey and he looked at the hole in his chest.

'It'll probably take twenty, thirty minutes for the hole to close.'

Corey thought, then he glanced at Kiefer.

"What is your desire Kiefer?"
