205 204: Increase In Strength
(Two Weeks Later)
As the time went by in the Underworld, every resident had varying emotions regarding their future.
Despite Corey not being too bothered about the actions of the clown, he still knew the importance of having information, and once again, he decided to ask his number one source of information- Divine.
But to his surprise and confusion, whenever he called Divine, he always got a reply telling him the user was busy. He asked the remaining group members about Divine's whereabouts, but none knew.
"Don't worry about the captain man. If there was one thing about the captain, it's that he's the luckiest man on the planet. That bastard never dies no matter what situation he's placed into. Something will always happen and his life would be saved. He's like the child of the goddess of luck man. Wish I had some of his luck."
Corey who was at first concerned about whatever or whoever could make Divine unavailable, decided not to bother himself anymore after seeing the unconcerned behaviors of his group members, and hearing Fatty Black Bonez words.
Due to the fact that Divine was unavailable, Corey decided to find tiny bits of information regarding the situation of the Underworld, and from his short walks and talks with other Underworld residents in bars, clubs and so on, Corey was able to understand the way some people felt towards their new leader, the clown.
At the beginning, everybody thought there would be rapid changes in the Underworld, but despite a few deaths here and there, the lives of the Underworld residents had no significant changes except one thing, which was:
The lack of battles in the Amphitheater
And as a result of this, a mixture of emotions appeared in the hearts of many.
In the hearts of the weak and poor, there was relief.
In the hearts of the poor but moderate in strength, there was anxiety and a tinge of anger.
In the hearts of the strong but poor, there was frustration.
In the hearts of the strong and rich, there was nonchalance.
And in the heart of Corey… there was a desire to get stronger and appreciation towards the Paragon Ancestor.
Just like the Paragon Ancestor predicted or should he say, knew. He would have had a major issue if he never received the elemental breathing technique from the Paragon Ancestor.
And the reason for that was due to him becoming a new race entirely.
The racial limit of Paragons was so high, that the racial limit of a normal human or even a high human could not even compare.
And the issue with this, is that whenever Corey kills a tier 1 normal human and he absorbs the soul stone of the tier 1 human, his stats would not increase.
The only thing he would gain from the soul stone of a tier 1 human with his current stats, was the free attribute points.
Although, he could decide to attack tier 2 humans, that would garner unwanted attention towards him, and at the moment, he had no desire to have such attention on him.
Due to all of this, the importance and value of the elemental breathing technique could not put into words for somebody like him who's racial limit was at the peak, and who also desired to achieve stat maximization.
Also, after watching the battle between Triple X and Automaton, Corey also had the desire to improve his strength as quick as possible.
Apart from acquiring information, improving Neon by a minute amount and producing more Neon, Corey also bought more elemental crystals.
Due to him reducing the restriction on the amount of exposure and publicity the Terror Queen could put on Neon, Corey earned more from the selling of Neon, and without hesitation, he splurged the money on elemental stones.
And although, him deciding to do that made him to not be able to purchase lots of other things, the result showed in the present time.

In a hotel room which had a thick fog that covered every nook and cranny of it, Corey sat on a bed in a cross-legged position with his eyes closed. He inhaled, then exhaled for a few seconds before he stopped and opened his eyes.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he looked at his hand and clenched it. He then looked in front of him, and his eyes moved to the numerous empty elemental crystals on the ground.
He stretched out his right hand, and the instant he did, a whirling black pool appeared around the empty elemental stones. A suction force appeared around the empty elemental stones, and in the next second, the elemental stones moved into the whirling black pool and both the whirling black pool and elemental stones, disappeared.
Corey gazed around once again, then he stood and stretched his body.

Sounds of bones popping and cracking resounded in the room from Corey's every stretch, and some seconds later, he released a satisfied sigh.

Corey mumbled, then he willed for his status screen to appear in front of him.
