219 Indifference

The next afternoon, Mrs. Chen called again.

Chuchu’s ears perked up when she heard Mrs. Chen’s voice.

Mrs. Chen’s family arrived at their home in Taipei in the early hours of the morning. Although the housekeeper and Butler helped to carry the luggage, they were still very tired, so they didn’t call Qu Zhi back.

However, Mrs. Chen still didn’t leave the gallery.

!!

She felt that she had left in a hurry. She hadn’t tidied up the gallery and hadn’t informed her friends who often went to the gallery. She knew her friends would still visit her gallery, so she couldn’t bear to close her precious gallery just like that.

“President Qu, I’d like to give you this gallery. Is that okay? It won’t be too troublesome, and it shouldn’t take too much of your time. Do you think it’s okay?” Mrs. Chen and Qu Zhi discussed this.

Qu Zhi noticed that Mrs. Chen’s tone was still very gentle, and it seemed there was no big problem on her side, so she agreed readily.

Qu Zhi didn’t expect to receive gifts from Mrs. Chen from Taiwan for a long time.

There were some local specialties, cosmetics, and so on. Since they were back, they could send some things that couldn’t be bought on the mainland to Qu Zhi.

Qu Zhi knew she was feeling apologetic, but she didn’t expose her and often gave her some tea leaves in return.

The two of them were in two different places, but their relationship was even better than when they were together.

Sometimes, Chen En would also call back to look for Chuchu. Chen En said he did not think the new school was as good as the primary school in Jiang city, but it was not as bad. He had not made any new friends yet, so he missed Chuchu a lot.

Chuchu also missed Chen En a lot!

When her mother had sent the flower tea to her, she had also stuffed some of her favorite snacks into it. They were all for Chen En. She only hoped summer break would start soon so that she could fly to Taiwan to visit Chen En. This was what her mother had promised her.

Sometimes, Chuchu and Chen En would talk about Sister Yang Jing. The two of them had watched this program and had a lot of topics to talk about.

“But Sister Yang Jing looks so cold.” Chen En felt it was a little unbelievable. Chuchu’s “Boss” was actually such an introvert?

Chuchu also felt strange. Although Sister Yang Jing wasn’t an extrovert, she wasn’t that cold either. Was it because she was too nervous about going on the show?

The other female guests were more or less acting cute and playful. The first female guest always liked to pinch her throat when she spoke, and she liked to be sarcastic when she evaluated others. Chen En did not like it, but it was understandable. After all, everyone wanted to stand out in front of the person they liked. This was not a big mistake.

The other two female guests were also very passionate about their favorite male guests. They were on the phone late at night and taking a walk. Even children could tell that they were in love.

Yang Jing was the only one who remained silent from the beginning to the end. She would do whatever the male guest invited her to do. She didn’t take a step closer, nor did she take a step back.

The rest of the time, Yang Jing would hold her design drafts and drawing. She didn’t seem to take the initiative at all, but she was also very polite. It was very comfortable for others to get along with her. She didn’t fight for it, and compared to the other female guests, she was like a clear stream.

Even Yang Jing herself did not expect there would still be two male guests who liked her so much even though she was already in this state. One of them was number 3, and the other was number 1. The first male guest was also the one that everyone liked. He was handsome and had an extraordinary aura.

“What should I do, what should I do?” this was the question that Yang Jing asked the most after the filming ended.

She didn’t intend to become the focus of attention but didn’t expect her deliberate indifference to make her even more popular.

The other designers also tried to help her. “If you really can’t do it, just be honest and say you have no plans to date.”

Yang Jing tilted her head weakly. “Then why did I come to this variety show? It doesn’t make sense.”

After thinking about it, it seemed that pretending to be cold was the best way to kill the enthusiasm of others.
