Chapter 30.3: — A Small Decoration - Not From Your Family
On Saturday night, the first episode of [Living with Dad] was officially broadcast.
Except for Lin Momo who had no means to watch it, no matter if it was Old Master Lin, Chen Yu and the two assistants, or Lin Cheng himself, they all opened their screens on time.
After a brief theme song, the different life experiences of the five celebrity families were officially introduced to the audience.
The program adopted a sequential splicing method. The first half of the program showed the First Day, when the five family teams entered their ‘new home’.
The order was still the same as that of the previews: Bai Yulin’s team was the first to be shown, followed by actor Gao Yuankai, then CEO father Zheng Chengye, and the main lead father Duan Bei was the finale and was shown last.
Lin Cheng’s team still came in fourth in the line up.
When the first three teams were being broadcast, the topics discussed by the audience in the comments barrage were mostly similar to those seen in the livestream channel.
As soon as Bai Yulin and his daughter appeared on the screen, the audience’s comments flooded the screen instantly. Most of the content was:

[My daughter is so cute! ]
[The interaction between father and daughter is so loving!]
[The week’s wait is indeed worth it!] …
When Gao Yuankai’s team was on, the series of operations that Gao Yuankai performed— repairing light bulbs, fixing door locks, repairing the rice cooker, washing clothes, cooking—were deliberately edited together, which made the audience exclaim: [Awesome!!].
During Zheng Chengye’s team’s turn, the program group used the editing method of ‘expressing desire before suppressing’. In the beginning, there were many scenes of the naughty child acting rogue—such as clinging to his mobile phone and tablet and refusing to let go—which aroused the dissatisfaction of many viewers. There were no malicious edits, nor was there any deliberate bullying. Even the length of Lin Cheng’s segment was similar to that of the other teams.
“Did Brother Chen Yu really go and invest in the show?” Wang Xi muttered.
“How is that possible?” Zhou Qi glanced at Wang Xi, then looked at the screen again and murmured, “Let’s look into it later.”
The next segment would feature the scenes where Lin Momo was most criticized in the preview.
Things were normal now, but it may just be the calm before the storm…

The first is the ‘pilot’ where they introduced the teams (where Lin Momo’s interview should have aired but they couldn’t because of the way she answered the loaded question.) The next one was an 18-minute ‘preview’ which aired last weekend (where the Lin team barely got enough screen time and the program group edited the shot so that the original messed-up state of the house didn’t show, and they made Lin Momo seem annoying because she kept going after people for sales). Bastards (?︿??).? Anyway, the one shown in this chapter is the actual ‘first’ episode showcasing the first day of the first week of recording.
