Chapter 139 part2

Chen Yekai said to Yu Hao, “Roam around a little nearby and take a few shots of the factory from afar? Then go back and edit the photos for Director Huang.”

“No roaming! No roaming!” Huang Zheng immediately said, “You can’t take pictures outside, please understand.”

“It’s okay.” Zhou Sheng said at once.

The employees opened the warehouse and showed them the health products that were produced. They were all packed in old cardboard boxes and bound with plastic tape. It was a mess inside the warehouse, and the lighting was dim. Yu Hao took a few pictures. Huang Zheng closed the door again. Zhou Sheng pondered for a bit and said to Yu Hao, “Give Lao Bai a call, I’ll talk to him later.”

Yu Hao nodded and looked at Huang Zheng. He casually handed his camera to Chen Yekai. Huang Zheng knew that they needed some space to discuss, so he tactfully stood outside the warehouse. Yu Hao pretended to make a call and went to the back of the warehouse.

“Director Bai.” Yu Hao’s voice travelled over, “Our inspection is almost done...un, it’s pretty good...”

Zhou Sheng, Chen Yekai, and Huang Zheng chatted idly for a bit. Huang Zheng said, “Why don’t we go back first?”

“Wait a bit longer ba.” Chen Yekai smiled, “Just a few minutes, while everyone’s still here. Today’s the last day of work for the organisation.”

“Oh...” Huang Zheng said, “Your holidays started really early.”

“By the end of the year, the finance department will be in no mood to work.” Chen Yekai said, “We can’t match up to you guys.”

Yu Hao’s voice quieted down. Zhou Sheng went over and said to Yu Hao, “I’ll talk? Ai, un...”

Zhou Sheng’s voice softened, naturally transitioning to an air of discussing important matters. Then he put away his phone and returned it to Yu Hao. The two of them immediately turned around and ran toward the dormitory area along the back of the warehouse.

“There are too many loopholes.” Yu Hao said, “Why’s that guy so stupid? He didn’t realise anything?”

Zhou Sheng said, “Only money can break through all martial arts in the world; a 90 million contract, once people get greedy, they’re very easy to deceive. If one wants to remain sober, then they can’t be greedy...it’s normal. Do you think the electric grid is working properly?”

Yu Hao answered, “It’s not very probable, let’s come again at night?”

Zhou Sheng motioned for Yu Hao to crouch down, which Yu Hao did. Zhou Sheng did a short run-up and stepped onto Yu Hao’s back, then leapt onto the second floor of the warehouse. He extended his hand down and pulled Yu Hao up. The two of them stood side by side on the outer edge of the second floor of the warehouse. Yu Hao looked up. It was a little difficult to get to the third floor, so he and Zhou Sheng stuck to the wall as they shifted over slowly while surveying the nearby terrain.

“What are you thinking about?” Zhou Sheng saw that Yu Hao was a little distracted.

Yu Hao, “About my piece...”

Yu Hao’s occupational hazard was acting up again. Ever since he arrived in Nanlu, he had been automatically laying out his story in his mind, and had even included all kinds of figures — including their sales distribution model. Introduce Lang Hui’s pyramid scheme model first, then tag on a picture of the industrial park’s entrance, and add on an explanation underneath about ‘a large volume of inferior healthcare products are being incessantly produced here, and marked with a price tag of 4,500 yuan before selling it all around the country through a levelling-up sales model...’

“There are several security booths outside the park.” Yu Hao said, “What if a group of security guards rushes out later?”

Zhou Sheng answered, “It’s the New Year, there aren’t a lot of people on duty.”

They started surveying the workers’ dormitories opposite. Outside the corridor, several clothes were being aired out, and a few people were on patrol.

“Dogs are the most troublesome.” Zhou Sheng said, “Did you bring bread?”

Yu Hao answered, “These kinds are police dogs taken from somewhere, they don’t eat bread.”

Zhou Sheng frowned, “This will be hard to deal with.”

Chen Yekai called Zhou Sheng and asked, “Where did you guys go?”

“We’re coming, we’re coming!” Zhou Sheng said, “We’re looking for the bathroom.” Then he quickly jumped down with Yu Hao and made their way back to the front of the warehouse. Huang Zheng looked anxious; he had mostly sobered up from the alcohol he drank at lunch and had a vague sense that something was amiss, but he didn’t ask any questions. The other supervisor came over too and stood at the side to scrutinise them. Although a hint of a smile could be seen in his eyes, vigilance could be seen on his face.

Huang Zheng pondered, “Then, let’s go back now?”

Zhou Sheng said, “We’re more or less done with our discussion, but I need to find a bathroom first. I drank too much at noon.”

Huang Zheng said, “I need to use the bathroom too, I’ll take you there.”

There was a toilet on the first floor of the office building. Huang Zheng took Zhou Sheng in while the supervisor stayed outside. The four of them stood in a row, with Huang Zheng standing in the middle. When he was busy undoing his belt, Zhou Sheng suddenly grabbed Huang Zheng’s head from behind and rammed it against the wall.

Yu Hao, “!!!”

Huang Zheng was caught off guard and immediately peed his pants. Before anyone else could react, Chen Yekai grabbed his forehead, pulled his head back, and slammed the back of his head into the wall again!

With two ‘bang‘s sounding out, Yu Hao reacted in an instant. He grabbed some toilet paper and deftly stuffed it into Huang Zheng’s mouth to prevent him from making any noise. Huang Zheng’s head was spinning from being slammed into the wall, and he started struggling on the ground. Zhou Sheng said, “Quick! Tie him up!”

It was three against one. They pressed Huang Zheng against the ground, took off his clothes, and tied a dead knot. Huang Zheng couldn’t fight them off at all. A few minutes later, he was firmly tied up.

Zhou Sheng dragged Huang Zheng into one of the toilet cubicles, then got up and pointed at the two sides of the toilet entrance. Chen Yekai understood and hid with Zhou Sheng, then said to the outside, “Manager Lin, do you have any toilet paper?”

“Ai!” The supervisor had just walked in when Zhou Sheng and Chen Yekai acted at the same time — Chen Yekai used his arm, while Zhou Sheng swept his leg out, and the supervisor immediately fell onto the ground. Yu Hao jumped onto his back and whispered, “If you know what’s good for you, don’t make any noise. No one can hear you even if you start shouting here.”

The bathroom was quite a distance away from the warehouse, duty room, and security booth at the entrance. Zhou Sheng removed the keys from that person’s waist. Chen Yekai undid his belt and tied him up, then threw him into a cubicle.

“Don’t take any other belonging aside from the keys.” Chen Yekai said, “Otherwise it’d be easy to sue us for theft.”

“It can’t be concealed for long.” Zhou Sheng threw the keys up and walked out of the bathroom, “We have half an hour at most.”

Yu Hao still felt a little frightened, “That was too scary, could you guys not resolve things with violence next time?”

“It’s blunt and straightforward.” Zhou Sheng, “Isn’t that good?”

Chen Yekai said, “Is there electricity in the grid?”

“Go to the control room and cut off the park’s power supply.” Yu Hao said, “Once the electricity is cut off, the security guards will notice straight away. I’ll turn off the electricity, and then the two of you prepare to get into the dormitory at any time to save him. Escaping is still a problem too...”

Zhou Sheng said, “Drive his car away, take only Gege away, don’t mind the rest.”

“No!” Chen Yekai said, “Suing us for theft would be too easy then. Huang Ting’s already on his way, he’ll be here soon!”

“Okay, let’s split up ba.” Zhou Sheng kept the keys and they took action separately.

Yu Hao entered the factory building, where the lighting was dim. Outside the packaging assembly line there were a lot of capsule shells scattered all over the ground. A few snakeskin sacks were filled with white powder. Yu Hao took a few shots of the factory building as he walked and said to Chen Yekai, “We’ll need to cross through the factory to get to the control room.”

“I’ll take two pictures, it won’t take long.”

A workshop inside was still in operation. Yu Hao and Chen Yekai immediately crouched down and hid themselves behind some cardboard boxes. Yu Hao zoomed in with his Hasselblad; a worker was holding a snakeskin bag as he poured the powder into a stuffing funnel. Yu Hao immediately pressed the shutter and took several shots in succession.

The worker threw the snakeskin bag away, coughed a few times and pulled down the lever. Then he turned around to go wash his hands. Yu Hao and Chen Yekai took the chance to duck and slip behind him, then pushed the door open and went up to the second floor.

“Hopefully there’s nobody else.” Yu Hao whispered.

Chen Yekai whispered back, “There’s no one, the rest must be slacking.”

It was extremely quiet in the central control room, and the door was left unlocked. Yu Hao went in like a gust of wind, and glanced at the check-in clipboard on the wall.

Chen Yekai asked, “Which ones do we press?”

There was a dense mass of buttons. Yu Hao and Chen Yekai looked at each other.

Chen Yekai ,”I don’t study Computer Numerical Control (CNC)...”

Yu Hao, “I’m your student...”

The two of them, “......”

An idea suddenly occurred to Yu Hao. He took a picture of the control room and sent it to the WeChat group chat he shared with Lin Ze, Situ Ye, and Jin Weicheng.

Yu Hao:【I want to cut off the electricity throughout the entire factory, how do I do that? Do you guys know how?】

Jin Weicheng:【Third from the left, pull the box open, and look for the red line first, then yank it out. Throw the line away so that the maintenance personnel can’t find it.】

Yu Hao did as he was told. Jin Weicheng sent the picture back to him with a red arrow added.

【Use a ballpoint pen to pry the switch out. Crush the plastic switch and sweep it under the cabinet, then poke the ballpoint pen in, break it, and stuff it in.】

Chen Yekai found a ballpoint pen to pry with, and the switch flew out in an instant. Yu Hao picked it up, crushed it, then swept it under the cabinet with his feet. Chen Yekai broke the ballpoint pen.

Jin Weicheng:【Look for a master switch on the wall. Pull it down, then run.】

Situ Ye:【Jiayou! Lady boss is with you!】

Lin Ze:【Jiayou!】

Chen Yekai shut down all the boxes. Yu Hao dialed a number to contact Zhou Sheng.

Yu Hao, “We’re going to turn off the electricity now.”

Zhou Sheng, “Turn it off ba.”

Yu Hao pulled the master control switch and instantly heard a low resonance that sounded like the power failure of a device. With a ‘buzz,‘ all the lights went out, and the control room went dark.

A call came. Yu Hao picked it up while he quickly ran down the stairs with Chen Yekai.

“Which part of Nanlu are you guys at?” Cen Shan asked anxiously.

“Sis-in-law!” Yu Hao said, “We’re busy! I’ll call you back again later!”

In the park, shouts travelled over from a distance.

Zhou Sheng flung out a rope tied to a brick to use as a hook and climbed up the wall with just a few steps. He flipped over the electric grid, jumped, landed, then ran towards the wall surrounding the dormitory area. He took the keys out and leaned down to unlock the door. After opening the small iron door, he slipped in. After running a few steps, he heard music and suddenly stopped, then hid at the bottom of the dormitory.

Workers stood upstairs as they looked out. Conversation could be heard above Zhou Sheng, “Why is there a power failure?”
