Chapter 1902: Fairy Tale Wedding [7]

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

One billion. The wedding between the Xie and Li families had cost around a billion just on renting the venue.

People assumed it was a joke until it was proven otherwise. When they learned about it, everyone was taken aback.

Everything that was spent with the one billion dollars was detailed on the National Museum’s official website.

The renovation’s before and after photos were even posted on the official website. Many portions of the museum had lost their appeal before the refurbishment.

The colors were exceedingly bright and appealing after the remodeling. When the public witnessed the spectacular modifications to the museum, they could only gasp.

A towering pine tree has thrived for almost 1,000 years beneath the great red wall. The greatest decorations for the space were the red wall and the green tree.

[Relaxed Sweet Osmanthus: A huge thanks to the Li and Xie families for making the museum beautiful ]

[Spring of Fengsheng: They sure did something poor people like us can never think of. This is my first time seeing someone renting such an expensive place for a wedding. I don’t know why, but I’m starting to like the Li and Xie families. I’ll have to find a chance to visit the National Museum once the wedding is over.]

[Serious Laziness: Some of the sections of the museum were still under maintenance when I visited last time. It’s a little bummer that I didn’t get to see the museum in its prime. I hope I’ll have the chance to visit every section next time I go.]

Not long after the museum director had issued the statement, the groomsmen and bridesmaids had arrived at the museum entrance.

Most of the time, the main entrance was shut tight. However, for the wedding, the two red big doors slowly opened up.

At the square outside the entrance stood a large group of fully armed soldiers.

Li Jingcang was already notified that the horst cart could not enter the museum. He gently nudged Ye Tianxin to wake her up and said, “Tianxin, we are here.”

Ye Tianxin woke up in her husband’s arms and looked at the main entrance through her half-transparent veil.

“The horse cart can’t go in?” she asked.

“Yes, we can’t.”

“Then, what should we do?”

“Don’t worry, I’ve got a wedding sedan chair ready.”

Over Ye Tianxian’s head, Li Qingcang softly wrapped the non-transparent veil with a dragon and phoenix embroidery.

He was the very first to exit the wagon. Flashes from cameras flooded his surroundings the instant he stepped out.

“Oh my God! He’s so handsome!”

Even if the cameraman from the National Broadcast Channel was a man, he couldn’t help but swoon when he saw Li Qingcang through his lens.

And everyone agreed that the groom was rather handsome.

He looked like royalty in the traditional robe he was wearing. Anyone would kneel in front of him because of the fluidity with which he walked. Everyone could see he was delighted behind his practically expressionless visage.

After getting out of the horse cart, Li Qingcang extended his hand to Ye Tianxin who was still in it.

A slender arm reached out to grab the man’s hand before a beautiful lady walked out of the cart.

The non-transparent veil had covered Ye Tianxin’s gorgeous face.

The cameraman wanted to take a shot of the bride’s face, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not find a good angle.

He even thought that by lengthening his arm, he would be able to reach the crimson veil and remove it. He was anxious to capture Ye Tianxin’s face from the ideal vantage point.

He merely ventured to consider it, though. If he lifted the veil instead of Li Qingcang, he would undoubtedly be beaten to death.

The photographers did not stop shooting pictures. They seemed as though they didn’t want to miss a single detail of the lavish wedding.

As he drew Ye Tianxin into his arms and gazed at her adoringly, Li Qingcang resembled the lead in a medieval romantic drama.
