The store manager looked apologetically at both of them and said in a soft voice. “I’m so sorry. That gown was specially tailored for a customer. For the sake of our shop’s reputation, I cannot let you try it on.”
Li Zhiwei felt very disenchanted. She could not marry the man she loved, and now she couldn’t even wear the gown she wanted. Why was her life so miserable and tragic?
“Let’s go. I am not in the mood to try anything.” Li Zhiwei walked down the stairs, looking dejected. She saw two unwelcome guests on their way up.
