Chapter 1628 1628. Fighting the Demonized Zombie Dragon
At Messephyria, the battle was still ongoing. It didn't appear to end any time soon.
After Master vanished, Jack zoomed toward Broidrireg. But he saw the ancient dragon was still able to compete despite going against two high-level eternal-grade opponents. Broidrireg just needed to keep the stalemate until the divine earth titan ran out of duration, which was less than half an hour by now. Once that happened, Broidrireg could focus on Suzaki.
So, Jack changed direction and headed to the gap in the wall. The defenders fiercely defended the gap to prevent the enemies from entering, but there were a lot of enemies. They wouldn't last forever.
On his way, something crashed into the ground not far away. It was Therras. The Elevate Beast and Demonize Pet had ended. Therras had turned back to its normal form. In that condition, it was not Uddroth's opponent. To make it worse, Uddroth was still in its demon form.
Jack turned into a lightning bolt and headed to Therras.
"Be a man and make up your mind, will you?!" Peniel scolded. All these zappings around were making her dizzy.
Jack cast Double Clone again on his way. His previous clones had ended their duration. Dragon Jack had even died fighting Uddroth before it finished its duration. He now had his two clones follow behind while he continued toward Uddroth.
He unleashed Lightning God Barrage and Swords of the Brave as Uddroth dove toward Therras.
Uddroth saw the incoming attacks. His gigantic wing covered the side where Jack was coming from and shielded him from the lightning balls and lightning swords.
While Uddroth was busy defending the lightning attacks, Jack came to Therras side. Therras' HP had fallen below half. There were also many cracks along its armor.
Jack used Beast Howl to recover Therras' HP. He then reapplied all the previous buffs that were now available again after Reset. Elevate Beast, Demonize Pet, Gigantify Pet, and Beast Tantrum. Therras again turned into a giant demonic beast with eternal-grade power.
Jack then used Combination Assault. The two turned into a giant meteor, which was covered by lightning since Jack was still in lightning form. This lightning meteor flew at a faster speed than normal. Uddroth failed to react when the lightning meteor smashed into his body. He lost a large chunk of HP and was thrown back spinning.
Uddroth spread his giant wings to stop his tumbling. At the same time, he fired his Divine Fire Breath. Jack easily moved out of the way, but Therras who had a larger frame was hit by the breath. Therras' defense which had soared from all the buffs reduced much of the damage but it still got pushed back into the ground.
Therras retaliated by firing its earth core bomb. Uddroth's hand conjured a dense fireball and he threw it like a baseball at the incoming yellow ball. The two balls collided and resulted in a massive explosion containing the fire and earth elements.
Meanwhile, Jack activated Soul Asura and Dances of the Braves. He approached Uddroth and cast Black Hole. The generated black hole was covered in lightning since Jack was still in lightning form. The black hole sucked Uddroth and caused him difficulty in moving. Jack used his sword art then.
Flame burst out of Uddroth's body. His demonized body was coated with flames. This flame suit reduced the damage dealt by all the lightning swords battering his body.
The last time Uddroth fought Suzaki, he refrained from using his fire skills. This time, he had no such reservation. He cast a spell with one hand while his other hand formed a fiery whip that clashed with Jack's lightning swords. When the spell was completed, several wells of fire appeared on the ground below. Out of these wells burst out giant flame serpents. These flame serpents shot continuous flame breath at all the enemies nearby.
Jack was forced back by the intense heat. Without Jack's interruption, Uddroth's massive strength tore himself out of the black hole's influence. Therras came then. It ignored the intense heat generated by Uddroth's flame suit. Therras' massive body crashed with Uddroth and the two exchanged melee blows without seemingly trying to defend themselves.
Under the demonized effect, Therras gained a couple of extra skills. Its claws were coated with dark fire, it added dark and fire element damage to each strike. Its body was also filled with horns that dealt physical damage when enemies engaged in a melee exchange.
Despite all of Therras' buffs, Uddroth was still winning the close-ranged battle. Therras received more hits and lost more HP than it meted out. Peniel used her recovery skills to keep Therras alive.
Jack rushed in to deliver some attacks whenever he could. Otherwise, he sent ranged attacks. His two clones continued to stay at a safe distance and sent ranged attacks. The three-minute duration of his Lightning God Incarnation quickly passed by. When he sensed the energy gathered, he focused that energy on his fist. At the same time, he cast Superior Acceleration. He targeted the spell on himself, his two clones, and Therras.
With the increased speed, Jack delivered its finishing attack at Uddroth while the dragon was still busy clashing with Therras. The powerful attack was able to force the titanic Uddroth crashing into the ground below.
Jack returned to his normal form once the finishing attack was completed. With the enhanced speed, he quickly cast another spell, Time Lock. He then transformed into the supreme dragon form and flew up.
His two clones had been preparing an offense when they received superior acceleration. One prepared the rune technique while the other prepared the mega spell. The rune technique was completed first, probably because Jack was more accustomed to it.
Jack with the rune technique teleported to Uddroth right after Dragon Jack flew up. He slammed his Infernal Cleansing Flame into Uddroth who couldn't move due to the Time Lock. Once the rune technique hit, he flew away using Gold Dragon Wings.
Next, his mega spell, Storm Wrath, was cast. A giant sphere of lightning and wind encapsulated Uddroth's body. Outside, Jack also fired his Soul Breath.
By the time the Time Lock ended, Uddroth's body was already being ravaged by all these assaults. As a zombie, it didn't show any sign of a surprise. He simply got up and tried to tear himself out of Storm Wrath's sphere.
The pressure inside the mega spell was extremely heavy, but it was still not enough to stop Uddroth. Jack activated Strength of Hope and Lightning God Suit. He and Therras attacked Uddroth when he was at the periphery of the sphere. They tried to push him back into the sphere. But with his divine flame breath, Uddroth knocked the two away. He then pulled himself out of the Storm Wrath's area.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop this demonized zombie dragon.
