Chapter 360 - Unavoidable Accident
By nine in the morning, Dean and Bryana were getting ready to go home. The man was back in his basic pants and white shirt, while his wife was back in a blue dress which made her look sexy and charming even though her make-up wasn't too thick.
They walked down the corridor until they reached the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor.
"After this, don't go to the office," Bryana said in a spoiled voice, leaning her head on Dean's shoulder.
Dean sighed, turned to Bryana, and kissed her forehead. ."Yes, I will work from home because my wife is getting spoiled. Or maybe this is a sign that our child will turn into a spoiled girl too."
"Hopefully. There's nothing wrong with hoping."
The elevator door opened. Dean and Bryana rushed out and walked down the corridor toward the door that led to the baseman. They walked leisurely, occasionally becoming the center of attention of several apartment residents who happened to be outside.
Arriving at the baseman, Dean and Bryana immediately got into a car that they didn't realize was not functioning properly. The man drove his car towards the baseman to exit the apartment area.
"Did Raymond call us again?" asked Bryana who was sitting casually looking out at the street scene. This time the streets were not too crowded because it was already nine o'clock, everyone must have started their activities.
"He called a few times and I texted him about what happened last night," Dean replied, focusing on driving.
"Tell me what do you mean?" Bryana asked.
"Tell him that there will be a new family member among us," Dean replied with a smile. he reached out his hand to feel Bryana's belly but his eyes remained focused on the road. "I can't wait to see if it will be like me or like you."
"Me too. If it was like me, I'd give her the name Abigail," Bryana said with a smile, rubbing Dean's hand which was still touching her belly.
Dean smiled. "Abigail, what does that mean?"
"It means 'my dad is happy' because you were looking forward to her arrival, I'm sure you were happy when she was born," Bryana replied.
"A beautiful and appropriate name. but if he's a boy again, I'll name him Xavier," Dean said as he grabbed Bryana's right hand and kissed it while focusing on driving.
"What does it mean?" Bryan asked.
"Bright light because he was born at a time when all our enemies have stopped disturbing our comfort when our dark past has been replaced by a brighter good time," replied Dean then turned to Bryana. "I feel extremely happy and the dark shadow is completely gone, it doesn't make me sad anymore. You seem to give light to me."
Bryana smiled with a happy hue on her face. She nodded her head then brought her face close to Dean's and kissed his cheek.
"Don't bait me. We're driving," Dean said with a smile.
"Yes ... I just kissed your cheek. You don't think I provoke your endless lust," said Bryana with a glance of horror.
Dean nodded and pouted his mouth. He returned his focus to driving until he came to a rather steep descent. The man stepped on the brake pedal but the car kept going without decreasing speed.
"Oh my... The brakes of this car are failing!" he said panicked.
"What, dumb?" Bryana frantically looked at Dean. "How could that be. .yesterday we used this car still fine. Why are you suddenly absent?"
"I don't know. We can't stop!" Dean started to panic. He tried to stay focused but the car was getting out of control especially when several vehicles in front of him almost got hit.
"Oh my God, how is this?" Bryana started to get scared.
Dean remained focused until he finally saw a tree in front of a shop building. he swerved and rammed the car into a tree but could not reduce his speed any further until the collision was so strong, his head hit the steering wheel hard and the car body was crushed, making his legs slightly pinched.
Bryana also hit her head bleeding but her condition was not as bad as Dean's because Dean deliberately swerved to the right so that the part of the driver's seat directly collided with a tree.
People started arriving. They immediately took out the unconscious Bryana and took her to the hospital, while Dean was still struggling to evacuate because his leg was stuck. It made him weaker and lost a lot of blood until a few minutes later he was also successfully removed from the car and taken to the same hospital where Bryana was treated.
From a distance, Kareen was alone in the Jeep. She witnessed the accident and looked upset. "Why doesn't that car just explode and kill them? I have to go to the hospital and make sure they die... They have to die!"
With all the grudge in her heart, Kareen followed Dean who was taken to the hospital. I don't know what else she's going to do... She's such a crazy woman, a psychopath... Has no more sanity!

Raymond was relaxing on the living room sofa while accompanying Monica who was feeding Madeline chicken soup.
"They haven't come home yet even though it's already nine o'clock..don't they remember we're here?" Raymond chuckled.
"Maybe they'll be home soon," Monica said casually. "They're having fun, it's only natural to forget about us. Just like you when you're having fun with me, you just forget Madeline."
Raymond exhaled roughly and was about to find other entertainment because he was bored. He got off the couch and walked out of the house.

His smartphone rings. Raymond, who had just arrived in the living room, immediately reached into his jeans pocket to take out the smartphone and saw that there was an incoming call from a public telephone number.
"Hello," said Raymond when he was connected to the caller.
"Is this with Mrs. Bryana's side of the family?" Someone asked over the phone. Her voice sounded like a woman's voice.
"Yes, I'm her brother. What's wrong?" Raymond asked, frowning. His gaze fell on Dinda and Lily who were trying to calm Aidyn who was crying.
"She had an accident with her husband. Now in Santa Maria hospital."
"Accident...." Immediately Raymond's legs went weak, his breath felt tight even as if his legs couldn't support his body anymore. He leaned against the wall and stared at Aidyn who continued to cry. "Are they seriously injured? They're safe, right?" he asked frantically.
"They are being treated by a doctor..."
"I'll be there soon.".
The phone line was cut off. Raymond sighed, looking up at the ceiling with frustration running through his heart again. "Oh God ... .what else is this... why did this happen to them..?"
"Honey... What happened?" Monica asked while looking at Raymond who looked so sad that his eyes were already filled with tears.
"Jill and Dean had an accident," said Raymond very sadly. He couldn't imagine if his sister or brother-in-law didn't survive. Last night just got the happy news.
Monica was silent with a worried feeling, her chest felt tight and sore, especially at that time Aidyn was crying incessantly as if he had a feeling that her parents were in trouble. She immediately calmed Raymond down and asked him to hurry to the hospital....
