Chapter 267 - Jealous And Anxious

At home, Alex is playing with Haikal in the living room along with Elsa who chooses to play with her smartphone. He sat on the red carpet with his son, while his wife sat on the red sofa. the man seemed to be enjoying quality time with his little family before starting work, he hadn't even got a new job.

"When are you planning to find a new job?" Elsa asked breaking the silence.

"So what? Are your savings running low?" Alex even asked again.

"I still have a lot of money but I'm worried that if I don't have a contract anymore, I won't get any more money. My money will slowly run out if you don't work, help our family's economy," Elsa explained angrily, looking at Haikal who was sitting holding a milk bottle. "And our child also needs money for his living expenses. The milk alone is very expensive."

Alex sighed, looking at the adorable Haikal with chubby cheeks and thick brown hair. He lifted his son into his lap, then kissed his head.

"I still have savings. You just use it for our expenses. Just save your money, because soon I'll be looking for a job," he exclaimed.

"Do you have no plans to take on Calvin's legacy again?" Elsa asked.

"No, even I want to sell my assets in London, then give the proceeds from the sale to him, share with Haikal as well. I should give property to my son, not take it!" Alex insists, looking annoyed at Elsa who is again poisoning his brain to seize Calvin's treasure.

"Well then, it's up to you. The most important thing is, don't forget that you have to prioritize me and Haikal over Calvin and Bryana. they're just a part of your past," Elsa exclaims curtly as Alex shows more and more concern for Calvin and Bryana, making her feel as though it's useless to sacrifice herself to sell herself to Carlos to get him back.

Alex chose to remain silent, then stood up and walked towards the room carrying Haikal.

Ting ... Tong...

The bell rang. Elsa who was still annoyed with Alex's attitude immediately got up from the sofa and walked towards the main door in the living room and opened it.

"Carlos," said Elsa when she saw the guest who came was a man who touched her mercilessly.

"Hey. Is Alex here?" asked Carlos with a mischievous look at the part of Elsa's chest that looked tantalizing to her. What a perverted brain!

"What are you looking for?" asked Elsa curtly.

"I'm his friend, it's only natural that I want to see him," Carlos replied casually then entered the living room until Elsa had to step aside, letting him in.

Elsa approached Carlos and glared at him. "Don't tell me what happened that night!"

"Don't worry. I'm not the type of guy who breaks promises," said Carlos.

Elsa sighed, then glanced towards the living room. "Wait a moment. I'll call him," she shouted then walked towards the living room intending to go to the room.

"Yes, honey," said Carlos.

Elsa, who had only taken a few steps, turned her head to glare at Carlos. "Don't call me like that. What happened between us was because of an agreement. Don't continue because I don't want to do it again!"

"Hey, I'm just kidding. quickly call your husband," Carlos shouted with a mocking smile.

Elsa continued to walk away from the living room until she crossed the stairs to the top floor where her room was. She walked silently uneasy because Carlos looked so dangerous and scary to her. 'Don't let him like me and get me into his game,' she thought.

At the hospital, Dany had finished the operation and was transferred to a VVIP facility. He was still lying weakly on the hospital bed with a bluish-white bed sheet. there was a bandage wrapped around the man's head and it looked like his hair was slightly shaved maybe to make the operation on his head easier.

Dean stood by the bed, staring sadly at the Bodyguard who was injured to protect his wife. "He is the best bodyguard after Louis," he said.

"When he has recovered, you have to give him a promotion, increase his salary, complete facilities for him. And now we have to bear the cost of living for his family," cried Bryana, who was sitting on a chair near the hospital bed.

"Of course. I'll do that," Dean said.

"I have to go back home because I left Aidyn a long time ago. I'm afraid the supply of breast milk for her is running out," said Bryana as she got up from the chair.

"I'll take you," said Dean.

"Then what about Dany. looks like I can go home with Fin escorted. Dany must be taken care of because his condition is not stable yet." Bryana began to rely on Fin who was trusted to take care of her.

"Let the nurse take care of him," said Dean then grabbed Bryana's hand and led her to walk out of the room. "We'll meet the nurse before going home."

"In that case, okay." Bryana can only surrender even though she always feels sorry for Dany.

Arriving outside the room, Dean and Bryana met Fin, who had just arrived with a plastic bag.

"Sir, this is the food you wanted," said Fin, looking at Dean.

"Ah yes. It seems the food is for you only because my wife and I have to go home soon," said Dean casually. "You go home first to prepare yourself. Because you will stay at my house."

Bryana reached into her branded black bag until she grabbed a business card. She gave the flat thing to Fin. "Our address is on it. You can come this afternoon."

Fin received the business card and smiled at Bryana. "Okay, I'll get ready and come to your house soon."

Dean glanced at Fin who just smiled at Bryana. "We have to go now. You said you were worried about Aidyn," he cried, holding Bryana's hand again.

"We go home first, Fin," Bryana said as she walked away because Dean had already pulled her.

Fin just nodded and let the husband and wife go. Slowly he looked at them with a sharp gaze, even almost slamming the plastic Canton containing the food he bought on Dean's orders.

___

"I feel weird," Dean muttered as he walked down the hospital corridor.

"Why?" Bryana asked as he followed Dean's footsteps.

"Fin doesn't look like he's a security guard or someone who's in trouble," Dean answered with a straight look, remembering how Fin smiled when he received a business card from Bryana. "He even smiled at you."

"It was just a friendly smile. Are you jealous?" Bryana asked, glancing at Dean.

"Of course," Dean replied curtly.

Bryana smiled crookedly then put her arm around Dean's left arm. "He's just a new person, a new Bodyguard. And why are you blindly jealous when before many men were smiling at me in front of you but you were acting normal."

"This time it's different looks like... Interested in you," Dean said angrily.

"If he likes me, then I won't care. Because the only one who can make my heart flutter, is you," Bryana said with a smile, then kissed Dean on the cheek. "Don't think too much about it. I'm yours!"

Dean just nodded even though there was a strange feeling in his heart, he even regretted having made Fin a bodyguard. 'I feel like I have to keep an eye on him. I will not let him near my wife,' he thought, glancing at Bryana.
