Chapter 213 - Dean's Regrets

In the morning, Bryana woke up and glanced to the side where Dean always slept, but the place was still empty. She sighed, looked up at the ceiling, and imagined what and where her husband was. "When will you be back, honey?"

Knock... Knock... Knock!

Bryana glanced at the knocking door, then shouted, "Come in!"

Check

The door opened and it was Monica who came in with a tray filled with a glass of milk and Bryana's favorite toast.

"Breakfast for you before your morning walk," said Monica with a cheerful smile. the woman looked so charming in a red knee-length dress with open sleeves, letting her long hair flow beautifully and polishing her face with light make-up. compared to Bryana, who still looked wrinkled in black lingerie and a blue transparent robe and hadn't even washed her face.

"I can't walk, Monica. My legs are starting to cramp," Bryana said wearily.

"Really? Or are you lazy?" Monica looked at Bryana with a probing gaze.

"No, I do have cramps in my calves a lot." Bryana dodged while shifting her position until she arrived at the edge of the bed.

Monica placed a tray of pregnant women's milk and toast on the table near the bed. She sat beside Bryana and looked at her with a smile as if she was happy until what she looked at felt strange.

"Why do you keep smiling, did you just get a call from Raymon?" Bryana asked.

"That's for sure, but this time he called me with good news," Monica replied, raising an eyebrow.

"What good news, is dad awake?" Bryana immediately asked enthusiastically.

Monica nodded quickly. "Dad came to his senses and promised to meet Dean, apologize and bring him back with you!"

"Oh really?" Bryana looked disbelieving with the happy hue on her face, but immediately the happy hue faded when she realized she didn't know where Dean was. "But he has to find Dean first. It's going to take a long time and . . . Will he come soon too?"

"Dad is recovering. Maybe a week or two before he is allowed to go on long trips," Monica explained sarcastically.

Bryana sighed, then lay back down with her legs dangling on the edge of the bed. "That means I'll have to wait some more and maybe I'll be exactly eight months pregnant."

"It's okay, the most important thing is that there is a great opportunity for you to get back together with Dean. All you need to do now is take care of your health!" Monica exclaimed as she stared at Bryana's belly, then touched it slightly. "I thought your child would be born as a baby boy."

"Then he will inherit Dean's handsomeness," said Bryana, dreaming of Dean's handsome face who usually gave warm hugs and French Kisses every morning. "I'm glad Calvin doesn't look so much like Alex."

"Calvin looks like dad," Monica muttered as she got out of bed and walked over to the dressing table. She smiled crookedly looking at the mirror that still had a sentence written on it using lipstick. "Dean's message is very sweet this is proof that he loves you more than Clarissa and he will come back."

Bryana sat up and took milk from the table and said, "In fact, he hasn't come back yet. He had the heart to let me sleep alone, even though he knew it would be very difficult for me."

"I don't think he'll sleep well without you either. He feels very lonely because he's far from his kids and his mother, while you can still be close to them to entertain yourself," Monica said while combing her slightly wet hair.

Bryana sighed, then immediately drank Monica's homemade milk. She felt had to get up even though sometimes she felt lazy to live when her longing for Dean was passionate.

---

Dean blinked his eyes as the sun shone through the white and pink room window vents, he woke up. He squirmed but suddenly pain hit his whole body even his stomach hurt so bad almost like when he was in pain after being beaten by thugs. The man was back on his back and felt his whole body was also shivering, finally, he pulled the blanket back to cover his whole body.

Ceklek...

Niko entered the room with leisurely steps towards Dean who was still curled up on the bed wearing a blanket. "Dean. Won't you come with me?"

"Where?" whispered Dean.

"Taking Mike to have his injured hand-checked," Niko replied as he sat on the edge of the bed. He frowned as he looked at Dean who looked pale and disheveled and asked, "are you sick?"

"I don't know, my whole body aches," Dean replied languidly.

"I suspect, there's something seriously wrong with your stomach. You got kicked by your opponent several times last night, right?"

"Yeah, it hurts a lot now. I can't even move much." dean winced in pain as he sat up and leaned his shoulder against the pillow. He looked down and opened his t-shirt to reveal his six-pack stomach but was blue.

"Gosh, it looks like the inside wound from the thug's attack was injured again from your opponent's kick last night. You need to be checked, I'm afraid it will become an infection if left alone!" Niko looked sadly watching Dean's stomach.

Chuck...uhuhkk

Dean coughed and felt a sharp pain in his stomach. "Looks like it needs to be checked. It hurts so bad."

"You better get ready quickly, I'm waiting for you in front," Niko shouted then got out of bed and walked out of the room.

Arriving at the hospital, Dean immediately received treatment from the doctor. He lay holding his stomach which was in constant pain even to cough and laugh it still hurts.

"This is due to inside injuries that are wounded again. There are problems in the stomach and intestines. To speed up his recovery and he doesn't return to many activities, I suggest he be treated for a few days in the hospital," said the doctor, who is a man aged around 40 years wearing black-rimmed cylindrical glasses. He explained to Niko who had been watching the examination process, while Mike was in another room to examine his injured hand.

Niko turned to look at Dean and asked, "How are you, Dean. Do you want to be treated here or I will take you home?"

Dean was silent imagining how he had left Bryana without caring about her crying and chasing after her. He also felt that he did not deserve to come back sick, it would only burden his wife who was heavily pregnant.

"If it's only for a few days, it seems that I should be treated here. Because if I go back home, I will only trouble my wife. I've done her a lot of wrongs, it's not worth it if I bother her and I'll be back when healed," Dean said thoughtfully.

"Sure?" Niko looked pity at Dean.

Dean nodded.

"Or shall I call your wife to come here?"

Dean immediately shook his head. "No, leave me here alone or with you. I don't want to worry her, and maybe this is the result of me leaving her without caring about her at all."

"Okay then, but you have to keep your promise to go home after recovering," said Niko with an intimidating look.

Dean just nodded and felt even more tormented because of the longing and guilt for leaving Bryana just because he was thinking about Clarissa's past.. 'Clarissa is at peace in heaven, I shouldn't have kept thinking about her to ignore Bryana's feelings which are hought regretfully.
