Chapter 211 - Fall And Get Up Again

London

Raymond walked slowly toward Stefan's bed. He just looked so sluggish in a black tuxedo with a black tie that was not so neatly attached. The man had just come home from work and went straight to his father at the hospital.

Lying limp in a quiet room there was only the sound of the heart rate monitor echoing, that was how Stefan was. Not showing any change at all, even still the same, not improving or getting worse.

Raymond sighed, sat in the chair right on the right side of his father's bed while looking at him sadly, then took his hand.

"Dad ... Help me solve all these things. James really messed things up without being able to get things back to normal because he was killed by Gustave." Raymond bent his face, swallowed his saliva, and slowly his eyes turned red from not being able to contain his sadness.

"I'm so lonely. Dad is here, Monica went to accompany Jill who was abandoned by Dean because he was disappointed in us." Raymond continued to speak even without any meaningful response from his father. "I realize what we have been doing all this time is wrong. We shouldn't keep a fact from Dean, because no matter how close we keep the smell, it will smell it too. And worst of all, that fact came out of the mouth of James who betrayed us to get money from Gustave."

Raymond lowered his head while pressing his father's palm to his right cheek. "Poor Jill. She was pregnant but instead was abandoned by Dean who couldn't accept this fact. I have to realize because I have to apologize to Dean, make him go back to Jill, make him keep Jill back. After all, Gustave is planning something bad. I'm sure of that."

He didn't feel the tears starting to fall. "Oh, come on. Dad has to wake up. together, we will return the situation to how it was before, then we will be happy to be with our family, as usual, especially Jill's baby will be born soon Don't you want to see your grandchild? It might look like Calvin, or . . . it'd be pretty like Jill or even like mom."

Raymond continued to cry, talking without getting a response. The dashing man seemed fragile in fatigue, longing for the comfort and togetherness of a family. He was almost frustrated that his father didn't respond at all.

"Dad...come on wake up, don't let daddy's only daughter hate dad because of this problem. We have to make her happy by bringing her husband back to her, we also have to fight the treasure-crazy and terrible Gustave!" Raymond insisted as he continued to grab Stevan's hand.

Slowly, Stevan's eyes moved as if trying to open. Even his fingers moved until Raymond noticed.

"Dad... Dad, you wake up!" Raymond smiled so happy when he saw Steven opened his eyes but was very sad.

"Raymond..." Stefan whispered then took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.

"Don't talk too much, I'll call the doctor," Raymond shouted then got up from the chair. He walked out of the room with hasty steps and even ran to find a doctor while wiping his tears.

Stevan silently glanced at the atmosphere around him while remembering what had happened until he remembered that he had fallen from the bathroom before he could go to Indonesia to meet Bryana.

"Bryana must be disappointed in me again. I've failed to come to her seven-month pregnancy event, I always disappoint her," Stevan muttered still not realizing that his daughter was more disappointed than he thought.

At nine o'clock in the evening, Dean finally made it to the top of the final and had to face his opponent, who was a man with the same stature as him, with gray hair and a dragon tattoo on his right arm.

"Dean Jackson... Dean Jackson!"

The crowd chanted his name to cheer Dean up. Of course, it was because of the provocation from Niko and Mike who just introduced Dean as their potential champion.

dean walked up the stairs, through the alley until he entered the arena which was a white mat with a red guardrail some writings were the product of the brand that sponsored the match even though it was only the middle class and was not broadcast live by the station television.

'Jill . . .' Dean lost his mind and stared at the enormous clock that hung on the wall of the building directly above the judge. He remembered, at times like this, Bryana was often restless because he had trouble sleeping or waited for him in his room while he was on patrol.

Ting... Ting... Ting

Battle begins. Dean who was daydreaming woke up and immediately took a ready position with a stance and looked at his opponent with a gaze so cold. They circled each other looking for an opening to hit until...

Bughhh

The man kicked Dean's shoulder until the one he kicked almost fell but was restrained by the railing on the mattress.

Dean counterattacked by kicking the man's calf but it didn't work, instead, he received a heavy blow to the face.

"Agh!" Dean wiped his slightly bloody lips with his right arm while the referee gave him time to get back ready to fight.

"One, two, three, Fight!" exclaimed the referee.

Dean immediately took a ready position even though his head was still dizzy. He tried to dodge every attack from the man until he finally fell back when he was hit in the waist by a kick.

Bugghhh!

Dean lay on his back staring at the ceiling of the building. He was silent in the shadows of Bryana and Clarissa. the two of them again bothered him to make him even dizzier.

"Dean, wake up!" Mike called from beside the mat with Niko who was worried about Dean's condition.

"God, don't let him die fighting for us!" Niko thought about Dean's safety instead.

"If he loses, how will I get the money to marry my girlfriend?" Mike started to get nervous and kept shouting for Dean along with the rest of the audience.

"Dean Jackson... Dean Jackson!"

Dean glanced at his opponent who smiled sarcastically as if laughing at his weakness. that smile reminded him of James who had finished Clarissa. He got back up even though he was limping because his waist which was very sore from yesterday's kicks and wounds had not yet recovered.

Ting... Ting... Ting

The bell rang giving a sign at the end of the first half of the match. Dean staggered towards the chair provided in the corner of the mat. He was immediately approached by Niko and Mike along with the coach who gave him a drink.

Dean drank as much as if he hadn't drunk in a century, then threw the rest of the water at his dizzy head.

"Dean, what's going on. I see you're not concentrating?" asked a coach who was a man about 30 years old with a handsome appearance with a typical Indonesian face.

"It's okay, I'll be more concentrated after this," Dean replied with a ragged breath.
