Chapter 210 - First Battle

Monica sat on the edge of the bed looking at Bryana while holding her shoulder. "Bryana, watch your anger. Everyone never wants to be in the position of a complicated problem. don't keep cursing what happened, let him go to calm himself you just need to take care of yourself to keep your womb healthy."

"I'm tired, Monica ... I just want him by my side like always. I miss him too much," Bryana said in sobs.

Monica immediately pulled Bryan into her arms, then rubbed her back. "I know that, I even feel the same way... I miss Raymond too, I'm worried if something bad happens to him. You know, James and Kenzie died horribly because of Gustave's actions, even Raymond was also targeted besides you and the kids. I also always feel longing and anxious."

Bryana nodded and was still sobbing, then let go of Monica's arms. "Sometimes I think, I'd rather live a simple life comfortably than with possessions that keep us in peril."

Monica also cried remembering how Raymond was also tired of the situation. "I'm sure one day this will all end. Raymond is gathering evidence of Gustave's crimes so he can go to jail and stop terrorizing our family."

Bryana nodded slowly. "Hopefully Dean is always safe because he's not liked by Gustave either."

"He will be fine because he is a strong man even stronger than Raymond. And I'm sure he will return to your house when your baby is due. He is a gentle and caring man, he will not forget his true identity as a father." Monica continued to reassure her, even though she too was in fear and longing for Raymond.

Bryana nodded and tried to remain optimistic. She immediately invited Monica to go home because wanted to rest. She also asked Dany and Louis to return to the house with the gardener to clean the weeds and clean all the rooms in the house because it was dusty.

By the time the evening came to be exactly seven o'clock, Dean was already on the scene of a middleweight kickboxing match, along with Mike and Niko who always accompanied him and there were several supporters and coaches. he looks ready to wear shirtless, wearing white pants specifically for fighting, black boxing gloves, and even has a guard on his teeth.

The atmosphere of the arena in the tournament building which was brightened by many lights on each side of the building was already quite noisy because several athletes had started to fight. they cheered for their champion athletes, some cheered because of the heavy blows in the fierce battle in the kick-boxing ring arena.

"After that, it's your turn, Dean. Your opponent is someone from Batam city," Mike said, looking down at Dean who was sitting gently in the waiting chair. He was standing on the right side of a man who was a bodyguard but suddenly joined the fight in the inter-city middleweight kickboxing championship.

"We'll see. I'll beat him in the second round," Dean said confidently. He looked at the Ring arena where there were two Indonesian-looking athletes with bodies not much more muscular than him.

"Don't be too confident, Dean. They are smaller than you but sometimes they are more agile. You have to be careful because this is your first fight!" shouted Niko who was standing on Dean's right side.

Dean was silent and felt a strange tingle in him. nervousness, longing for Bryana, the kids, and also curiosity about how tough his opponent is because he is used to fighting many enemies.

After about 30 minutes of waiting, finally Dean was called by the host. He immediately walked towards the arena which was a red mat with a black guardrail. He walked leisurely and his gaze was so cold that he broke through the guardrail to enter the arena the referee had been waiting for.

"You're a new athlete, do you understand the rules?" asked the referee who was a man aged about 35 years with a gray face and his body looking so manly. Maybe he's a former athlete too.

"Of course," Dean replied casually.

The referee turned to give the warning to Dean and his opponent, who was a man aged around 25 with a typical Asian face without beard or mustache, fair skin, and hair cut in a mohawk style. With shirtless and wearing black pants and white boxing gloves, the man smiled sarcastically at Dean as if he could beat him.

Ting... Ting... Ting

The bell has rung. Dean immediately took a stance with a very cold look at the opponent who also took the same position as him.

when the referee gave the warning to start, Dean immediately moved to kick his opponent's chest but to no avail, and he was instead countered by the opponent who kicked his right leg.

Bughhh...

Dean fell down and immediately got back up, took a stance, looked at his opponent who smiled slyly at him, reminded him of James who seemed to have no guilt for shooting Clarissa. He also tightened the muscles of his hands and immediately moved quickly to punch the man in the face without a chance to dodge.

The man stumbled but was restrained by the guardrail and immediately attacked Dean so that they embraced each other trying to hit each other until the referee separated them.

"One... Two... Three, Fight!" exclaimed the referee again started the match.

Dean immediately took a stance, moved sideways to surround the man with a gaze so cold, even if a man looked at him sharply, immediately moved to punch him in the face.

Dean immediately dodged and kicked the man's right leg until it fell on the mat.

Ting ... ting... ting

The bell is ringing. The game is suspended because the first round is over. Dean and his opponent moved to a corner of the arena and sat down on a bench. They are immediately given a drink by the supporters and coaches who also give strategies to beat the opponent.

"Dean, he's very agile. You have to be careful," said Niko remembering Dean had fallen in one hit.

"You'll see, I will make him helpless in this second round," said Dean, then drank mineral water until only half a bottle was left.

a scantily clad girl walked around the arena holding a flat white object that read "Round 2" and at that moment the bell rang again.

Ting... Ting... Ting

Dean and his opponent returned to the center of the arena. The referee gave the signal again and said, "Fight."

Dean took a stance and smiled sinisterly at his opponent who seemed to be looking at him with arrogance, reminding him of Gustave who always insulted and despised him. He seemed to get an urge until his emotions were fiery, directly attacking the man by punching him in the stomach.

The man dodged by using his arms to cover his face, occasionally also tried to hit Dean but couldn't because Dean immediately dodged and kicked him back in the shoulder.

Bughhh

The man stumbled and immediately stood up, took a stance, glaring at Dean angrily, and immediately attacked.

Dean immediately dodged and punched the man in the face so hard that he repeatedly turned to punch the shoulder to the stomach without mercy and was able to fight again. The man felt dizzy until he fell and refused to get up again.

"Oh yeah ... He finally won and will advance to the next round!" Mike exclaimed enthusiastically looking at Dean who managed to make his opponent surrender.

"After this, the opponent is getting tougher. Don't be too confident!" said Niko who didn't like Mike's exaggeration.

Dean was silent with his breath panting at his opponent, unable to move. He approached him and helped him get back up, then embraced him as a sign that the fight just now was just a fight because of a contest, not with a grudge and hatred.

"Sorry," Dean said.

"It's okay.. You deserved to win and congratulations to advance to the next round," said the man with a warm smile.
