Chapter 190 - Similar Face

Bryana was silent for a moment as she was about to step on the floor in her parents' mansion. She remembered the past where when she was a child used to play running around with Raymond, causing trouble for her mother and father because of her silly behavior. the memory made her smile and turn into sadness. Tears fell again.

"Why?" Dean asked, looking down at Bryana who was crying but immediately wiped her tears.

"It's okay, let's go in," Bryana shouted then stepped into the living room. She glanced at the atmosphere of the mansion which was designed with a modern metallic interior with silver and black walls dominating. there is a decorative lamp hanging in the middle of the living room ceiling which blends with the living room which is not too wide, there are doors that lead to several rooms, and stairs leading to the upper floor.

"Mommy!"

Briana turned towards the voice that called out to her. it was Calvin and Sofia who already looked fresher. She smiled at them which made her feel like seeing her childhood with Raymond always playing together in the playroom downstairs.

"Mom, there are many toys here that are not in our house. I like here," said Sofia, who was visiting Stefan's mansion for the first time.

"That was a toy from Mom and Uncle Raymond when they were children. Tomorrow when we go back to Jakarta, you just bring it," Bryana said, smiling, stroking Sofia's soft hair.

"Mom, tomorrow I want to go shopping. buy new toys here before we go home," said Calvin, who instead took the opportunity to shop for new toys.

"Cal, you have to look at grandpa's condition first. Grandpa needs your prayers, your support," Dean exclaimed with his warm gaze.

"Can't Grandpa go back home yet even though I wanted to invite him to play?"

"Wishing grandpa a speedy recovery. Now, go back to playing, mommy must rest," Dean said looking down at Calvin and Sofia, who were always together.

Calvin and Sofia ran back to the playroom while Dean and Bryana walked upstairs where Bryana's room was.

Dean looked at Bryana who walked with limp steps and a blank stare. "Let me carry you."

Bryana just silent and let Dean carry his body. Reflexively, his hand grabbed his left shoulder and rested his head on his husband's broad chest. "I so tired...."

"I know, you just rest and don't think too much. Face all of this with courage and always be optimistic," Dean exclaimed as he continued walking until he reached the top floor. He looked at several rooms with black doors.

"Which side is your room?" he asked.

"My name is on the door," Bryana whispered.

dean sighed and continued walking down the corridor until he turned towards the door and saw Raymond's name engraved on wood with brown paint, then continued walking until the door had the name "Jill" engraved on white wood.

"Why does it say "Jill" instead of your full name?" asked Dean.

"Because Raymond and mommy like to call me that," Bryana replied. "It was a special call from them, and it just so happened that you also called me by the same name."

"Because you are special to me." dean smiled glancing at Bryana who immediately blushed. He immediately turned the door handle, then pushed with his body until the door opened.

dean walked into Bryana's room which had the same nuance as the other rooms, but the lights in the room were orange, just like the lights in the Jakarta house.

"You always like the atmosphere of a room like this. Exotic," Dean muttered as he lowered Bryana from his arms.

"Yeah, it's not too bright and seems cold," Bryana said slowly walking towards the bed. Dean followed her to the bed and sat on the edge near the table.

Bryana took the photo that was on the table. it was a photo of her with Raymond when she was about a dozen years old, with a woman who almost looked like Bryana.

"What is it mommy?" asked Dean, watching the photo.

"Yes, this is a photo when I just had my 17th birthday," Bryana explained, smiling at the photo.

Dean paused and stared at the photo. his attention was drawn to the familiar face of Bryana's mother. "So similar."

"Who looks like?" Bryan asked.

"Em, mom looks like you," Dean replied with a smile but in his heart said, 'similar to you, to Clarissa, even very similar to Clarissa's mother.'

"Because I'm his daughter, of course similar," Bryana muttered then put the photo back on the table. She sighed and climbed into bed, lay down, and held her swollen belly that felt stiff.

"Are you okay?" asked Dean.

"A little sore from being too tense," Bryana replied.

dean held Bryana's bloated belly, then bent down to kiss it and embraced possessively.

"Maybe it feels what you feel. Then doesn't calm down, then contractions."

"I don't know, it's really hard to act normal under these circumstances," Bryana muttered as she played with Dean's hair.

"The most important thing is that we are here and can see dad often, take care of him and continue to pray for the best for him," said Dean, still hugging Bryana's distended belly. "Don't neglect your health, your mental health, because I don't want the baby in here to be unwell."

"I will try to be strong."

Dean kept silent remembering how similar mother Clarissa's face to Bryana's. 'Could they be sisters? but why doesn't Bryana know about Clarissa or her family? Is this resemblance just a coincidence? But... Their resemblance is like a descendant.'

"Honey," Bryana called as Dean just silently hugged her belly.

"Yes..." Dean looked up and straightened his seat. "What's wrong? Do you need anything?"

"I want to take a shower, I feel so sticky," said Bryana, taking off her robe.

"I'll prepare warm water."

"No need. I want to take a cold shower just to be fresh. you just watch the kids, or eat," Bryana exclaimed.

"I'll eat with you. I'm just waiting for you here and it looks like ... I need a shower too," Dean said as he took off his sweater.

"Okay, I'll take a shower first," Bryana said as she got out of bed, and walked to the bathroom bypassing the walk-in closet.

Dean remembered that the reason for Stevan's fall was the gel on the bathroom floor. he immediately walked after Bryana with brisk steps until he saw her almost entering the bathroom.

"Honey, don't come in!" Dean exclaimed as he approached Bryana.

Bryana turned to look at Dean who seemed in a hurry and looked straight at the bathroom floor.

"I want to see if that traitorous Bodyguard also spilled gel here or not," said Dean, looking down at the dark tiled bathroom floor. he even fingered the floor seriously, while Bryana waited to wear only a plain white towel.
