Chapter 116 - Like A Cold War
At nine in the morning, Bryana and Dean just came out of the room. They already look more fresh coupled with a tinge of happiness on their faces because of the satisfaction of making love since earlier.
Bryana wore a white knee-length dress with open sleeves and her hair was still slightly wet. Meanwhile, Dean wore gray denim shorts combined with a black sweater. they both look so relaxed down the stairs holding hands.
"Dean, Jill . . . You guys just woke up at this hour? Outrageous." Raymond shook his head. He was sitting on the sofa with Kareen enjoying a cup of hot tea and chocolate biscuits.
"While still on the weekend," Dean smirked at Raymond. He and Bryana continued walking until they reached the ground floor.
Kareen silently glanced at Dean and Bryana who looked so happy and harmonious. Jealousy began to overwhelm her again, making her mood worse. "Uh, Raymond. I think I have to go back to the apartment right now," she said.
"Why, don't you feel comfortable here? I don't mind you staying here, instead, we will get along as potential sisters." Bryana said with a smile looking at Kareen.
"Jill's right, you better stay here and I won't be able to leave in peace if you go back to the apartment," Raymond shouted.
"Yeah, it's safer here because a lot of people are guarding, including me," said Dean.
"But his job is only to look after me," Bryana said with a smile, tightening her grip on Dean's arm.
"That doesn't matter, because I'll take care of Kareen too," Raymond said then glanced at Kareen. "Isn't that right, honey?"
Kareen just smiled nodding as if blushing at Raymond's words, but her heart was saying, 'Damn Bryan. Dean was mine before you took him from me with your wealth.'
"But while I'm away, I will take care of you from afar by providing a special bodyguard to guard you at all times," said Raymond.
"That's not necessary," Kareen said.
Dean walked out of the house to meet the bodyguard, while Bryana chose to sit with Kareen Kareen and Raymond.
"Kareen, our family's enemies are very dangerous. So, you must still receive a tight guard, especially last night you were terrorized to be killed. I can't imagine how terrible it is to be in that position," Bryana said, meaning to corner Kareen. Because she was sure that Kareen wanted to stay at her house.
"I also don't know why anyone can terrorize me, because I have no enemies at all," Kareen replied with a bend in her face. "And I went back to the apartment just to get some of my important stuff and also my clothes," she continued.
"Okay then, I'll take you while I'm going to the airport," Raymond said without giving Kareen an opening.
"What time are you leaving?" Bryan asked.
"Ten o'clock. I'll go by public plane," replied Raymond, because when he was with his father, he always took a private jet.
Briana nodded in understanding, then got up from the sofa. "I'll wake Calvin and Sofia up. You have to say goodbye to them before you leave."
"Oh yeah," Raymond shouted. He sat casually staring at Kareen who was uncomfortable sitting next to him. "What's the matter, Kareen. Do you still have doubts about Bryana?"
Instead of answering, Kareen took her tea and drank it all. "I feel happy because finally, no one is against our relationship. I'll take my phone in the room for a while," she said.
"Okay, I'll wait," Raymond replied with a warm smile.
Kareen immediately walked to the guest room, while Raymond chose to wait while approaching Bryana in the children's room. The man walked up the stairs to the top floor where his nephew's room was.
Arriving in the room, Raymond saw Bryana coaxing Calvin and Sofia to take a shower in the morning.
"Mom, it's Sunday, we're lazy to take a shower if we don't go for a vacation," said Calvin, who was still wearing his cow-patterned pajamas.
"Daddy is not completely healed. You guys just play at home," said Bryana.
"No, we're bored at home," Sofia said groggily.
Raymond sighed, then approached Bryana and his two nieces. "Where's Lauren? Isn't this her job?"
"She is not feeling well. since yesterday, I have always taken care of them," said Bryana.
"What's wrong with Lauren?" Raymond asked.
"I don't know, I've asked Louis to take her to the doctor," Bryana said with a shrug.
Raymond nodded in understanding and turned to glance at Calvin and Sofia was were still lazy on the bed. Seeing them, made him smile because he remembered his childhood with Bryana.
"Hey you guys, hurry up and take a shower and I will give you something before I leave," Raymond shouted.
"Uncle is leaving?" Calvin looked surprised and immediately sat down.
"Yes, I will be back in London in a minute," Raymond explained, glancing at his watch, which said it was 09:20 am.
"I want to come," Calvin called.
"Cal, we'll just go there on holiday," said Bryana even though she also missed her hometown, but couldn't travel far because she still had morning sickness.
"Yeah, Daddy hasn't recovered yet," said Sofia, who was sitting next to Calvin while hugging a plush panda that was almost the size of her body.
"I will buy you something when I get there and send it to you," Raymond said confidently.
"Now you take a shower, don't bother mommy. You have to understand that mommy's situation is not as usual. Your mom is carrying a baby in her belly."
"They won't be clean if they bathe themselves, I will bathe them one by one," Bryana said as she got out of bed. She immediately took Sofia to the bathroom bypassing the walk-in closet which was also available in her children's room.

Kareen was still in the room and was talking to someone on the phone. She sat on the edge of the bed which was covered with a maroon bed sheet.
"I can't meet you now, I think we can only meet in a place that a man can't enter," Kareen said annoyed. "Raymond asked his bodyguards to always guards me, that's why I can't be free anymore."
"Anyway, what are you asking me for that kind of medicine for! are you pregnant again?" someone asked from the phone. Wait! Why did she say "pregnant again" has Kareen been pregnant before? That means she is not a virgin girl.
"Watch your mouth, Siska! I just want you to buy the medicine because I need it. I'll pay as you ask!" Kareen confirmed.
"Okay, I'll be waiting for you at the women's clothing boutique."
"Yes, at one o'clock in the afternoon I will meet you," Kareen said, then hung up the phone. She was silent with a sharp gaze imagining how Bryana was acting sweet in front of her and showing off her affection with Dean. 'Your happiness is only momentary, Bryana. I will make you lose your future baby slowly and Dean will be disappointed in you," she thought with a sly smile.
