He soon realized, after many unsuccessful attempts to contact his friend, that he had been swindled. Xu Zheyi never asked about the things in the shop. He did not understand the accounts, and looking at them gave him a headache, so he left it all to his friend to deal with.
Because of this, when the bank called to collect the loan, he found out that his friend had borrowed a large sum of money under his name.
