>BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!<

I made sure to land on the Hobgoblin Chief’s stomach, pressing my legs on it while putting all my strength into the strike.

The earth beneath the Demon shattered as more of its health was drained.

It spat out blood and gave a pained expression, the kind I loved to see on a monster of its caliber.

“So, what do you think now, eh? Still think I’m just a puny insect?”

The monster groaned, feeling another Status Condition affect it. <Confusion>

I grinned ear to ear as I could feel the massive body of the monster jerk underneath my feet. My blows weren’t done yet. In fact, I was just getting started!

It was time to educate this seemingly overpowering monster and show it the meaning of true strength!

>BOOOMM!!!<.

>BOOOOOOMMMM!!!<

>BOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!<

Taking advantage of the Status Ailments that kept popping on the monster as a result of my strikes on vital parts of its body, the Hobgoblin Chief could do nothing, except writhe in agony as I dealt deadly blows to it.

The ground shook for a great distance, but I didn’t stop. I kept pounding my fist on the creature. I was also taking damage as a result of clashing with such a Demon of great durability, but I didn’t flinch.

Even for such a being of great mass, it had to have a limit.

‘Its MP has reduced drastically. Those illusions and Fireballs must have cost a lot of MP. The mana it uses to coat itself has grown thinner, allowing my punches to dig deeper!’

With each strike, the Hobgoblin Chief grew weaker, nearing death. Even if it wanted to attack, it couldn’t. Its endless state of confusion and shock rendered it nearly harmless. Still, my arms were in a terrible state as a result of the flurry of attacks.

I needed to end this soon.

“<Summon>”

Instantly, two of my most powerful weapons appeared. The Hell Kobold King’s Claw—two of them— materialized in both my hands as I tightly gripped them.

Usually, such weapons would deal barely any damage to the Hobgoblin Chief and would also lose their durability in the process. However, this was the only way to fix things now that my hands were in such a terrible state.

They stung, my knuckles, and my wrists were killing me. I could feel the quality of my blows drop with every hit. If I didn’t end things soon, the Hobgoblin Chief would regain its composure and strike.

I couldn’t allow that to happen!

‘My MP is already below 20 percent thanks to increasing my power so much by releasing mana. It’s a good thing I have that Skill!’

That’s right! My newly acquired Skill, <The Magician> gave me a massive boost in my hour of need, a reduction in Mana Consumption. It was extremely useful in situations like this and I was glad I had it.

“I’m gonna chop you up now!!!” I yelled, pouring every hit of MP I had into the weapon I wielded.

I could feel the Hell Kobold King’s Claw tremble as a result of the inflow of power it clearly couldn’t handle. It was only a matter of time before the weapon broke apart due to its plummeting durability. However, I intended to end things before it got that bad.

“Rahhhhh!!!”

>SWOOOOOSHHH<

>SWIIIISHHHHH!!!<

I expertly slashed at the monster with all my strength and mana. I repeatedly swing my blade and cut through the beast at what one could mistake for lightning speed. It happened very faster, faster than my eyes could even perceive. All I cared about was dealing damage.

The blade was met with resistance, but as I kept slicing, increasing the tempo and pace of my attacks while burning up my MP, I could feel it getting easier. I cut up the monsters, saw blood gushing out, and cut it up some more.

>CRACK!<

The integrity of my blade had reached its limit as I saw its edges chipped away. In a few more strikes, they would break apart! Of course, I had more, but I wasn’t a waster. I wasn’t going to throw away a couple of tools just for a single monster.

“This is… the end!”

Upon making this statement, I aimed at the center of the heart to kill it. Unfortunately, as soon as I prepare my aim, I was thrown off balance by the very monster I was atop.

“A-ah!”

My yelping sound was accompanied by more wobbling from my body. It seemed like…my prey had finally recovered from its status Condition. My luck had run out!

>WHOOOSHHH!!!<

I quickly sped away from the monster’s body and landed on the ground, a short distance from it. It would suck if I got trapped in one of its offensive moves.

“Gruuuuuuuuuiiiii…” It growled silently, rising slowly to its feet.

Of course, I wasn’t about to let it completely recover, but I was held back by my instincts. The glare the monster gave me was the face of death. I couldn’t carelessly approach, or the tables could easily turn against me and I would be the one to die.

I could feel the injured, enraged monster’s bloodlust from where I stood. Weakened as it was, this Demon was still a Grade 2. That didn’t mean I had to pointlessly wait, though. The moment it showed the slightest bit of weakness, I was going to charge and exploit any opening.

In the meantime… I had to do something about my weapon. It had already taken so many beatings and was on the verge of collapse. My Mana had protected it so far, but even that was wearing thin. Was there really no other option?

Of course, there was!

Upon realizing what I had to do, I once again brandished my dual weapons and took s cool stance, well, I thought it was cook.

“GARUIIIIIKKKKKK!!!” The Hobgoblin Chief yelled in hateful rage, such that I had never heard before.

A puny creature like me had managed to defy it, wound it to such an extent, and I was standing. Any creature that was used to dominance would feel pressured. It was that exact pressure I needed!

“Game Over!”
