Chapter 592 The Prettiest Maidens Of The Continent

Arthur had a dull expression, his eyes not at all looking bright like before, and when people greeted him, he simply walked past as if he didn't even hear them in the first place, making them feel sad.

After all, their Morning Prince had never ignored them like this and would bless them with his smile whenever he saw them. However, they were able to guess why he was like this, making them feel even more sympathy for him.

Arthur was walking away as if his mind wasn't even here in the first place.

His actions made a certain curious old man ask a bystander, "Young man, do you have any idea why the Xeton crown prince seems a bit off? Did something happen?"

"Senior, are you serious? Where were you living all this time? Anyways, it is not something we should go and talk about in a public place. Who knows what kind of eyes are on us…" The man said in a cautious tone.

"Here, take these 10 Yellow Spirit Stones and tell me what I want to know," The old man said as he subtly slipped these stones into the man's pocket, who was astonished to see these stones.

"Haa…you really are too kind, senior. Anyway, a couple of months ago, you must have heard about the crown prince's sick mother getting better after being treated by Alchemist Azrael, right?"

The old man nodded with furrowed brows, "Of course. That I heard about. I was in the Xeton Empire at that time."

"Well, at that time, everything looked good for our crown prince, and even we had never seen him being so happy. But after some time, we all were shocked to hear that the famous prodigy named Damien, going by the title, the Lightning Prince was actually a traitor. And what was even more shocking was that he was masquerading around as the Alchemist Azrael, fooling and tricking people with his pills. But all this was nothing compared to the atrocious act he did!"

"What did he do?" The old man asked with a narrowed gaze.

"He fooled our crown prince and killed his mother in the pretense of healing her. Of course, he tried to make it look like he had healed her ailment, but who knew that he had planted a seed of death inside her body that would show its true colors only after a while? How dare he! If only I had the ability, I would have cut off that traitor's head and presented it before either His Majesty or our crown prince to put their hearts at ease. Sigh…who would have known our crown prince would face such a terrible tragedy. We all knew how much he loved his mother. Life is indeed cruel," The man said with a sad sigh.

"Haa…that is indeed true. What a pity indeed. Well then, I should go and pay my respects from afar," Saying so, the old man slowly disappeared within the crowd.

There was hardly anyone in the continent who didn't know the name 'Damien' or who the person exactly was.

When the strongest empire in the continent seemed so determined to catch him, how could the rest of the continent not know?

Various infamous stories of Damien were being circulated, most of which were either fake or highly exaggerated to make it sound like he was a demon incarnate.

Even now, among the crowd, people were gossiping about his infamous acts like taking advantage of innocent women in the school he was studying in, especially Valentina, who they thought was an innocent girl who got trapped by this vile man and was forced to be his slave, making her tag along wherever he went.

They also talked about how he murdered the innocent children of the major noble families in the Xeton Empire, especially the Clive and Rivers Family, out of pure jealousy and rage.

Any criminal acts with the culprit unknown were all pinned on Damien since apparently, he was capable of doing all these acts even if there didn't seem to be any motive.

And anybody who was found to be even remotely associated with him, including in the past, they would be taken in for questioning and might even receive punishment if they still seemed to have a favorable opinion of him.

Damien had learned about all this the moment he went back to the Rising Sun Continent and felt as if his present situation wasn't really different from how it was in his past life…being hunted by the world and being on the run.

However, this time he had no plans of tucking his tail between his legs and letting the true perpetrators get away. This time he was determined to make a stand and fight back no matter how impossible it seemed.

After all the imperial families from the empires arrived, they were followed by the powerful noble families of these empires and even kings of the most powerful kingdoms from the respective empires.

And this, of course, included the Krisen Kingdom, which was rising in power and fame and nobody had a doubt that it was the most powerful kingdom on the continent.

Still, how could they not also know that one of the most beautiful women on the continent, also titled as the prettiest moon of the Gale Empire, was the princess of this very kingdom.

And so people were also excited to see another otherworldly beauty blessing them with her presence as they saw the auburn-haired beauty step out and look at them with her honey-colored eyes that were glowing like a pair of precious gems.

She had a veil over her face just like Lily's, but still, they could faintly discern that she was smiling at them and felt as if their day never seemed so bright.

The Krisen King smiled at the crowd as he walked beside Yuria as if personally escorting her inside instead of letting somebody else guard her.

People thought he was being overprotective as usual, but only the Krisen King knew that his kingdom was standing on thin ice against the imperial family. And nobody could tell if and when they might make a sudden move.

However, even though Yuria was smiling at the crowd, she was also busy scanning her surroundings to see if she could spot a familiar face that had never left her mind since the last time she saw him.

But just as she thought that she wouldn't see him as she expected, she felt a certain intense gaze from within the crowd, but when she looked in that direction, there was nothing.

Still, her eyes seemed to glimmer after realizing something.
