"What the…" Irene's eyes shook as she sensed a profound amount of icy ethereal energy that had the same aura as Reva's coming out from his palms as the water began to slowly freeze up.

There were barely a few more seconds left before the huge formations activated and destroyed the entire place, but Damien's expression didn't contain a hint of panic or worry.

Instead, his eyes were closed as he deeply focused on freezing the water, which may be since he knew that he and everyone else, including Reva, would die if he let his worries and fear distract him from controlling his newfound powers.

His soul plane was as calm as a pond without a ripple, and his mind and body shared a strong serene connection that allowed him to control the icy ethereal energy channeling through his body with ease even if he hadn't become an expert at it.

Still, he couldn't help but feel more hopeful, sensing the forming of ice from the water beneath his palms.

The glowing azure water that was flowing towards the formation had almost done its job of charging it up. Just five more seconds of providing it with energy, and it would successfully activate.

However, Irene, with astonishment in her eyes, saw the glowing azure water drastically slow down right before the formation could completely activate. And it continued to slow down till it completely stopped as it froze up because of what Damien was doing.

"He did it!" Reva couldn't help but tear up as she softly smiled since she really didn't want to die here, especially when it was not too long before she found someone like Damien and hadn't even yet properly lived her life with him.

"Heavenly mother…this is…" Irene felt as if the mountain that was pressing on her heart had been lifted the moment she realized that they were saved…at least for now.

The glowing azure formation stopped powering up the moment the energy it had gathered began to diffuse in all directions, and Damien was still using his icy ethereal energy to make double sure that the entire water source was frozen and wouldn't melt anytime later till they all got out of here.

"Damien!" Reva shook off her grandmother's hand from her wrist as she ran towards and hugged him from behind, feeling happy and proud of her man for saving them all. She really couldn't imagine what would have happened to them if he was not here. No…Yohr would have definitely finished them off one day before they could even realize it had not Damien exposed him.

"Reva!" Damien, who felt a huge relief in his heart, turned around to hug his woman in happiness and relief and also to express his gratitude for teaching him how to control his newfound powers in such a desperate situation.

He had to admit that she was very calm and was able to think of solutions without panicking, and in the end, she indirectly saved him and her people.

All he did was follow through with her plans, and finally, he was able to save at least the Zirians from getting killed gruesome and unfair deaths.

However, Irene was yet in for another shocker as she saw her precious granddaughter hugging another man so intimately. And when she came in, only after sensing his aura was she able to realize that this man was not a stranger but Damien, a junior and the spectacular genius who had made ripples throughout the entire continent with his monstrous combat prowess and his stunning lightning powers.

But what was his business hugging her granddaughter, who was not only her successor to being the leader of the Zirians but also the princess of the Xeton Empire.

And why was she hugging him in the first place? When did her granddaughter, who never had any interest in men or things like love, become like this.

Irene had never seen such a soft and delicate side of Reva like this. All she ever saw was indifference no matter what was happening around her, and the only thing she ever showed any slight reactions was only for things where her mother's name was involved.

Irene was having a hard time processing all this, and she had no idea if her granddaughter's first love with this boy was a good thing or not since she still felt that Damien's background was not what it appeared to be.

*BOOM!*

However, suddenly tremors passed through the entire icy cave, startling all three of them as they immediately became vigilant.

"Oh no…he is here…" Irene mumbled as she already got message transmissions from Shania that the ethereal barrier surrounding their base was already under attack from all sides. And what was more shocking was that not only her but every Zirian could see an imperial army of hundreds of thousands of men surrounding their base from every side, and their people couldn't help but be frightened by such an overwhelming amount of force sent to suppress and kill them.

And right in the middle of such a formidable army, up in the sky, was the most powerful man in the continent, sitting on his ethereal beast, which was a sky blue-skinned hawk with a horn on its head and glowing blue eyes.

He was none other than the emperor of the Xeton Empire, and now he was looking down at the Zirians as if they were insignificant ants beneath his feet which were about to get crushed.

Dressed in extravagant azure robes with dragon and serpent embroidery on his fabric, he stood out in an overbearing way, especially when just his powerful gaze was giving off an indomitable aura from his entire body even without actually exerting his aura. Just one look at him, and anyone would feel their souls getting crippled.

And he was not the only one in the skies but behind him was another army of generals and commanders who were at various levels of the Heaven Ethereal Realm, sitting atop their flying ethereal beasts, fully armored and equipped to take down the biggest Forsaken base they had ever come upon and also the base where its leader, Irene was said to reside in.

The Xeton Emperor didn't even deign to attack himself but merely raised his arm while forming his hand into a fist.

The commander, clad in sky-blue armor, standing behind him, saw his emperor's signal and immediately shouted, "Men, destroy that barrier!!"
