Moments later, they arrived at the outskirts of the city, but it was not a deserted area, it was a lively one as there were many leisure spots such as parks and sports venues. Along the way, Arthur saw at least ten soccer fields.

Not far from there, there was a mansion surrounded by a large wall.

The house had four floors and a very large yard. To say that the courtyard was an orchard was no exaggeration at all because there were various types of fruit trees.

There was even its own farmland.

Many birds flew around the house, eating the fruits in the yard.

As a woman who started from the bottom, Linda couldn't help but be mesmerized when she saw the mansion.

"Living life as husband and wife here seems no different from living life as king and queen," she said.

She looked at Arthur and sighed.

"I don't think there is any chance for me to live in such a luxurious place."

"Do you like luxury more than your career?" asked Arthur in response.

"My career is still more important because I like to be praised, but things would be better if I had both," Linda replied.

"Then you should stop fantasizing, focus on your career, earn more money and invest some of it, with all that it's not impossible for you to have a house like this."

"Hmm, easier said than done." Linda shook her head, looking pessimistic.

At this moment, Mark's car stopped in front of the house's driveway. He got out of his car, waiting for Arthur and Linda.

The latter stopped her car behind Mark's car.

"Mr. Arthur," he said as Arthur got out of the car and walked towards him.

He also took out a pile of keys that were obviously the keys to the various doors in this house.

"This house is now fully yours. The certificate is in the main room. All the facilities have also been refurbished. However, there are no workers yet, do you want workers to help you manage this house. As you know, without regular maintenance, a mansion will also get dusty."

"No need!" Arthur shook his head.

He took all the keys in Mark's hand before the latter even handed them to him.

After that, he walked to the gate, leaving Mark in wonder.

He directly found the key for the gate and opened it and stepped inside.

He didn't stop but continued walking to the mansion without locking the gate.

Even Linda was astonished and confused.

The more clueless Mari looked at Linda and asked, "what's going on here?"

Since Linda showed an expression of ignorance from the start, she couldn't answer.

In the end, she shook her head.

"Maybe he wants to meditate, let's go," she said.

Linda guessed that Arthur had a privacy that no one should know about, so she decided not to enter the house.

However, Arthur suddenly threw the keys in his hand.

Although they were already quite far away, they landed right in Linda's hands.

This took the confusion to a new level.

"Arthur, what are you doing?" Linda couldn't help but ask now.

"You can stay here and come anytime. Just don't enter the basement," Arthur replied.

"What?" Linda looked as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Unfortunately Arthur didn't respond anymore, he was also getting farther and farther away because his pace was too fast.

In no time, Arthur entered the house.

The living room was really spacious and grand, as if it was a palace hall.

After looking around for a while, Arthur found the stairs to the basement. It was behind an open door, having a long, circular shape so that when Arthur approached, he could see an abyss-like area below.

He pressed the light switch beside the stairs, making the basement bright.

It was indeed a very large basement, its height exceeding Arthur's estimation.

He wasn't sure how wide it was, so he jumped down to take a look.

And as it turned out, it really was very wide, probably equivalent to a football field.

Now Arthur couldn't help but wonder what this basement was made for.

The Armstrong family may have had an obvious reason, but the owner of this house clearly had no connection to spiritual forces.

When he landed on the floor, Arthur found that it was watery and almost reached the middle of his ankles.

He wrinkled his forehead at that, slightly disturbed.

Mark didn't say that or he also didn't know at all because this house after all originally belonged to someone else.

However, after feeling the floor, Arthur guessed that this basement was probably made with the purpose of creating a nuclear-proof residence under the basement.

Perhaps the owner was short of money right now so he sold the house.

Arthur stopped thinking about that. With a wave of his hand, the corpse of the mysterious creature reappeared in front of him, still standing.

It already had no power left so its aura was no longer there.

However, a creature at that level, even its hair was precious, not to mention its flesh.

It was flesh that had hidden an enormous amount of powerful spiritual power. Even after countless years had passed, it had not decayed at all.

With some effort, Arthur was confident that he could refine the meat back into pure energy.

After that, he could slowly start using it to increase his magic power.

Of course, the good stuff didn't stop there.

What he was sure of was that the creature must have a lot of insight.

When he absorbed its energy, some of its insights would enter his brain, increasing his own insights so that he could master more spells.

Perhaps he would have difficulty if he used other spells, but fortunately his current spell was one that was compatible with any kind of spell.

Even so, he didn't start that right away.

He surrounded the corpse to see if there was anything hidden without his knowledge.

Perhaps a weapon or any artifacts. Even precious materials were enough to make him happy because what was precious to the creature would be precious to him.

When it arrived near the lower part of his back waist, almost close to his buttocks, he finally stopped moving, staring at that particular area with narrowed eyes as he saw a scar that had dried but could still be seen clearly.

Although there was no aura, Arthur was intrigued because he felt it was a wound caused by a very powerful object. Otherwise, it should have recovered.

He got closer, observing it more carefully until he found a tear that was still open even though it was very small. If the creature's blood wasn't dry, its blood would definitely gush out from that tear.

Arthur narrowed his eyes, trying to peer into the tear because for a moment he felt like something was glowing.

Becoming more curious, he finally created a small hand with his spiritual energy, and inserted it into the tear.

"Mm!" His eyes quickly widened as he managed to grab onto something.

It was just that, when he wanted to pull it, he found that it was very heavy, directly giving him the impression that he was trying to pull a mountain.

Instantly, he realized that it was an object of a different level, how could a First Stage Official Magus like him be able to lift it. The weight was too much for him.

"However, it's safe here," he said, not worried because of that failure. He would eventually get it when the corpse was completely gone.

He moved again, surrounding the corpse.

Unfortunately this time he failed to find anything.

Phew!

In the end, he sighed, standing in front of her.

"I need to shut this place down first." He then looked up at the ceiling above before waving his hand, spreading his spiritual energy throughout the basement.

This was not something easy as the basement was too big. Even though he was an Official Magus, it still took time for him to completely seal off the basement.

And it was enough to make him sweat.

Although it was tiring, he did not stop just because of that.

He then approached the soles of the creature's feet.

"I'll start from here," he said.

Whoosh!

He released a mysterious white magic, which, when it hit the creature's feet, suddenly became huge.

The sight surprised him a little.

"This stimulated a large amount of my magic," he said again.

It was not that this was an unheard of case, in fact he had expected it because the magic he released had a concept of purification that could also survive and even increase without spiritual energy from him. It survived by increasing its power by absorbing the dirty energy that he was purifying.

Only, this did exceed his expectations.

"At least I can leave this place for longer," he said.

The process would definitely take a long time, and under normal circumstances, he would have to come more often as his magic could have problems.

However, under the current circumstances, he was confident that no problems would arise.

When he returned to this place, he would find pure Spiritual Energy that he was ready to absorb.

"Time to go!"

Arthur didn't want to linger there either. After all the business was done, he chose to leave.
