Amanda pouted at the woman's words, but she needed to keep her composure in front of people.

Without answering, she stepped to the side and pointed her hand at the door that was opening wider and wider.

"Please come in, ladies and gentlemen," she said.

Immediately afterward, people stepped into the store.

Although most of them were elites, but out of curiosity, some entered in a hurry causing a slight disturbance, which fortunately was easily resolved as the ones organizing security were mercenaries who were now Knights.

Old Gordon and Parker, because they were old, could not join the younger crowd. They chose to wait and follow behind.

At this point, Jade could no longer stand beside Isabel's car.

With slow steps, she walked towards the store.

Since the door was wide open, she faintly smelled a scent that she thought was very cozy.

Amanda looked at her and then said while waving her hand, "come!"

Because of her actions, Jade quickened her pace, entering the store.

Once in front of the store, she was surprised to hear people talking.

"What is this scent, so fragrant?"

"It's the scent of agarwood!"

"Agarwood? Where's the agarwood?"

"What's in those glass boxes?

"..."

At this moment, not to mention the ordinary people and the reporters, even Old Gordon and Parker were so confused that they looked at each other.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you guessed right!" Kaiya who was there faced the crowd with an elegant smile on her face.

"This is the scent of agarwood and it comes from each of the agarwood branches inside those glass boxes. As you can see, they are branches that did not burn, even inside a completely enclosed place.

"This is a new discovery, the result of highly advanced genetic engineering of plants. We all know that agarwood has a very nice aroma, but that aroma will only emanate when it is burned. However, we managed to make it emit aroma without having to burn it. Of course, we need special care, but one thing is for sure, you won't have to keep buying agarwood after buying one branch from us."

"A-are you serious?" The Mayor, the Professors, Old Gordon, Parker, and William said that simultaneously.

Even Jade opened her lips slightly.

She stared at one of the glass box with narrowed eyes, wondering how wood could emit such a fragrant scent.

"How is that possible? Kaiya, you're not bragging, are you?" asked Riccardo.

Kaiya looked at the man and smiled.

He was Amanda's employee which meant her father was her big boss, so she needed to show him some hospitality.

"Just so you're sure, take a look, closer!" Kaiya then picked up some of the glass boxes and took out the agarwood inside each one.

After that, she placed the agarwood onto different tables. Each table had a round shape so that it could be surrounded.

The fragrant scent of the agarwood became stronger since it was taken out of the glass boxes, causing some people to inhale deeply to enjoy the scent.

"Damn, there's no need for air freshener if you have one of these branches," someone said.

Then, people approached the round table closest to them.

One table was reserved exclusively for the Professors.

As for Riccardo, Parker, Old Gordon, the mayor, Anna, and other big elites who were certain to buy were allowed to look directly at the glass cases for sale.

On the other hand, the reporters started making news. They were the most excited.

Each one spoke loudly about the new discovery.

"Hmm..." Amanda who was still standing by the door as she watched people's reactions.

She looked at Erick's car whose windows were now open.

The man still hadn't gotten out of his car and his expression was rather cold.

However, he could clearly hear the commotion inside the store.

Slowly, he began to look curious.

"Let's take a look!" He finally said.

Jhonny who was sitting beside him nodded.

They then got out of the car so the men in the two vans got out as well. They followed Erick into the store.

Amanda smiled slightly when Erick approached. She was a bit curious why the man's expression looked cold.

"Erick, it's rare to see you not smiling in front of me, your mental health is fine right because I chose another man?" she asked with a mocking smile.

Although Erick was followed by members of the military, Amanda was not the least bit afraid of them which was why she did not hesitate as she taunted Erick.

In the past, she probably would have held back a bit to avoid conflict. But now, she thought that if they were not in a crowded place, she would have taunted him more harshly.

It didn't matter if he was so angry that he took physical action, she just needed to use her magic power to defeat him.

"Girl, watch your mouth!" Jhonny was instantly enraged.

He wouldn't dare scold Amanda under ordinary circumstances because she was the woman his boss had a crush on.

However, given that she had already chosen another man, politeness was no longer necessary. His boss was also not that low to still pursue a woman who already belonged to another man.

Erick was not so provoked by Amanda's words as he was more interested in the people inside the store.

He made observations with narrowed eyes while listening to people's conversations.

When he understood what was happening, he immediately showed a puzzled expression. freew(e)bnovel.com

Spontaneously, he looked at Amanda and asked, "how did you turn the agarwood into that?"

"There's no point in explaining because you won't understand a bit," Amanda replied with a quiet laugh.

After that, even Jhonny was confused.

He had been to Southeast Asia many times to take care of Erick's beast business, so he knew enough about agarwood.

"You can come in if you want to see," Amanda added.

She then turned around and entered the shop again.

Her eyes gazed at the stairs where Arthur and Isabel were stepping down.

They really didn't attract any attention as people were focused on the aloes in front of them.

Of course, that didn't mean that absolutely no one noticed them.

At least Parker and Old Gordon, or Jonathan, Nova's father, were turning their gazes in their direction.
