He was holding his sword as he was running toward the beast. And the beast was still running toward them with its fierce and ugly-looking face.
And it had gotten really close to them, but the warrior running toward it would make sure it doesn't reach the other knights and warriors at the back.
The moment he arrived at a certain spot, he jumped as he was heading toward the beast's face. The beast didn't swing its hand or anything to grab him just as it did for the first warrior.

That caused another round of roaring to escape the beast's mouth...another round of pain. It began moving its hand toward its neck to grab the man, but it wouldn't succeed.
Before its hand could even reach its neck to grab the man, he had already jumped off it. The stabbing caused blood to gush out of the beast's neck again.
As the man landed on the ground, other knights and warriors complimented him for what he's just done. And now, they were waiting for the beast to make use of its power element again.
..I mean, it had been injured twice and its eyes had already been blasted as well, so it was time for it to begin making use of its affinity.
But nothing of that sort seems to be happening, they waited, but nothing of that sort happened. The beast seemed to be recovering from the flame that blasted its face.
But after it had recovered, it didn't still make use of any affinity. And they discerned something at that moment...
'Seems like it's a rank-1 beast'.
..And they were fucking correct.
That was in their minds, in the next seconds, they began conversing orally.
"Seems like this is a rank-1 beast". A certain knight voiced out.

Now, we do know they needed to protect those horses and carriages 'cause their getting destroyed would mean they wouldn't be able to deliver the goods to both kingdoms...and that was another problem.
Some knights and warriors were around the horses and carriages, and one of them would be the one to stop the beast from reaching where they were.
The beast was still running toward them when a certain knight began running toward it. He drew out his sword immediately while running toward it...he had already strategized what he was gonna do to stop it from reaching where the other knights and warriors were.
The beast was still running toward them without a proper plan, all it knew was to reach there, scatter things, and kill people. But the knight was darting toward it with a proper plan in mind.
Ethan and the rest weren't running toward the beast to stop it 'cause they had already seen the knight running toward it, they knew he would do a good job.
Now, the knight possessed the wind ability but doesn't possess any minor ability. But with the training he's gotten, he can do some of those minor things like jumping high and all that.
So getting close to the beast, he jumped as he was heading toward the beast's face as well. Things were different this time, the beast tried grabbing him but failed.
It would always fail when it was trying to grab skilled people like this, people that had trained. As the knight was heading toward the beast's face, it was already transferring a lot of mana toward his sword.
So the moment he reached the beast's face and he was in the air, he swung his sword as it was heading toward its face. Now, two things happened at that moment.
He had already gathered a lot of wind around his sword due to the help of mana. So as the sword slashed the beast's face, a heavy wind hit its face as well. And it was heavy enough to push it back.
So it received a slashing in the face and was pushed back by wind...yes, those are the two things that happened to it. Blood spilled out as the beast moved back as well.
..With what has happened to it now, there was no how it would be able to reach the horses and carriages behind.

The beast was completely disorientated right now, a heavy wind hit it and it was slashed in the face as well. That was completely enough to make it disorientated.
The moment Ethan got close to it, he jumped heading toward its neck. The beast didn't even notice him at all 'cause it was facing the other side and its face has been slashed as well.
The moment Ethan reached its neck, he hung on it and began stabbing its core with speed as blood was drizzling out.
'ROAR!'
The beast roared out loudly as it began shaking its body. Ethan didn't stop, he kept stabbing the core with speed, he must put an end to the beast right now.
| The beast's strength kept reducing and reducing until it had no strength left...then it began falling. Before the body could even land on the ground, Ethan had already jumped off it and made way so the beast wouldn't land on him.
The beast landed on the ground with a thud as dust filled everywhere...it had been brought down by Ethan.
