Just as Feng was about to get in she noticed lady Hiliana standing out the door with a wide smirk.
“Lady! We.... I’m sorry.” Feng did not even try to defend her actions. But she was anxious inside. In her past life, no one believed her even when she defended herself. It only made her more hopeless.
She felt a war hand on her head.
In fear she might be punished, Feng closed her eyes tightly. “I’m sorry!!”
“Don’t apologise, you did so well, my dear,” a soft voice whispered.
Feng opened her eyes wide. “I-I did..... but I caused trouble... I...”
“No, little one, you defended the honour of our Rofles family. You did a spectacular job, little Feng.” The lady leaned down and hugged her tight. “Never be ashamed of defending your honour. Never lower your head to a person who is trying to push you down.”

“Stand up straight.” she gently tapped her slouched shoulders.
Feng’s eyes uncontrollably filled with tears. “I-I did as you taught me...”
“Yes, I saw dear. You use your height as your advantage. Very smart girl. And Aiden, good coordination,” she gently tussled up his hair.
Aiden giggled and held onto Ethan’s hand. “My powers are just child’s play I wish Ethan could have used his,”
Ethan glanced at him with a soft smile. “If I used my lightening only a black char would be left of him. My powers are not that apt for spars and small fights like this,” he said, clutching his pant legs.
“Why not? You can use the lightening and thunder to charge your body and then attack with your fists. This way you won’t kill anyone and can attack using the minimal charge, didn’t your master teach you,” she said doubtfully glanced at them both.
Ethan and Aiden looked down for a second. “We have not been attending his class for a while,”
“What? Why?” Feng was very surprised. These two kids left the room along with and came back just as exhausted as before. So she assumed they had been training with Yubiri but it was not the case.... “Did he not teach you well? Do you want me to talk to him?”
“No! I-I want to see if the master we chose has his priorities straight,” Ethan immediately intervened.
Aiden also nodded to this.
Lady Hiliana did not say a word about him after.
Feng, on the other hand, was even more confused. On the surface it looked like the twins and Yubiri had a pleasant relationship, but from the expression Ethan had, it looks like it was not the case.
‘What might have happened between them? Well, I’ll ask them later on,’
Feng just nodded to herself. “Lady, it’s getting cold why don’t we all go in,” she ran to her hand held her gloveless hands. She stroked the icy hands with hers.
Lady Hiliana gently hugged her close. “Let’s go in, my brave warrior.”
“Lady don’t. I feel so embarrassed.”
“Why? I am very proud of you. I saw how you used your fists and how you evaded his attacks. It looks like you have been putting all you’re training to use.” she gently pinched her cheeks.
Feng giggled happily. ‘It feels so good to be praised.’ She walked around with a small hop on her steps.
While they were happily going back to their room, Clarina and Hibi had a dejected look on their face.
Hibi was silently gritting his teeth whist Clarina tended to his wounds. She gently touched his swollen cheeks with a warm towel.
“Master Hibi, does it hurt?” she whimpered. Her small face scrunched up as she wept for him. “I-its all because of me.. if I hadn’t approached him.... if..”
“It’s not your fault.” he wiped at his swollen cheeks. “It’s because of that bloody beggar.”
‘I will kill her...I swear on my life I will kill her.’ he clenched his fist tightly, tearing the cloth.
Clarina watched this with a subtle smile. ‘He-he.... this is getting fun. Who knew that provoking him will work so well,’ she hid her smile with a hand over her mouth. She lowered her head letting her bangs all over her overjoyed eyes. ‘This game is fun!!!!’
She carried the small pail of warm water back to the bathroom and dumped it out.
“Clarina!! Come here. Master requests you,” another maid rudely barged into the bathroom. She gave her a look over and mumbled to herself. “Look at her pitiful act it’s disgusting.”
Clarina put away her smile, ran to her and held her hands. “I’ll go right away but the warm water.... I need to get it soon..” she innocently looked up at her.
The maid scoffed. “Why do I have to do everything for her? She is but a mere low class maid,” she whispered to herself.
‘You are the one who is low class, you disgusting maid. You are but a blood backward mutt but I, I am destined for greatness.’ she wiped her hands in disgust. ‘But I hate tending to this bloody bastard. When will he just die? Then I will inherit all his fortune and become a proper lady.’
